Just like how some cars get pulled for standard bov's etc, depends on who 'chats' to you on the day etc, having it secured and shielded (with the shield well secured too, lol) might help. I (badly) painted my cai (Maxx's) black so it looks very stock as such, but arguably gives the best intake performance.

LOL I'll be your navigator. Im thinking a southern cruise thru plenty of twisties, down to Victor Harbor to the adventure place there, maybe, or a park - for a bbq and a chance for littlies to run around while the 'Liners bask in their glory. However, as nice and pleasant as the above sounds - I feel some paintball is in order....... lol, maybe a few mixed teams, a cpl rounds each, whatever, but Im sure a top time had by all - just dont shoot the ladies in the face, fellas! Or then there is a good gocart session, again theres a top place down Victor Harbor - and I can semi-fit in their cars too !! lol, joke, I cant. But at least we can have fun with the route there - so many options, I love the southern hills roads. :sorcerer:

LOL "cheap" girls out that neck of the woods !!! mostly housing trust homes, some industrial areas, very dry in summer there too.

just that mate, a mistake - so what ? ........... and where did I mention that Im a design expert and into car design? this is a forum and yes that is my opinion. meh, so what? my opinion means jack shite - but we all know that the efijy will never go into production as it would very likely to be a commercial loss. waaayyyyyyyy too many ppl here on SAU take themselves far too seriously these days. how about a group hug?
-
line32 yes, very ironic......... Im glad you noticed that =) 32line, got a wife to do that, budola, but thanks for your thoughts. look, my point with the efijy (not well made, obviously) was that they could have done a MUCH better job. IMO. Ive studied art and design for many years, my mum is a promiment art/design teacher at an exclusive school and has been for decades, and my dad is the treasurer of the 48-215 fj car club of sa. between my parents and my brother they own like 12 fxs and fjs, that includes rare sedans, utes and road rego'd panel vans. I learnt to drive in a 48-215 sedan and a fj ute. Ive been around these cars my whole life, and as a design student (I work in the area of contemporary design furniture) I know what please my eye and what doesnt. never forget lads that design and what pleases me will not neccesarily please the next person. car manufacturers have to sell bland cars, to please the masses. I mean, if a car producer made a weird styled door handle, it could in theory destroy that company (if its too hard to use, ppl wont buy the car) - ever noticed how car door handles havent evolved in years? simply, the efijy could have been evolved differently. it looks VERY much like an american hotrod, whereas maybe they should have based it on the ute - the fx ute remade today could be a very strong seller as it has fantastic lines to work with and evolve. I could seriously see a FJ ute being a gun seller if designed and evolved well, whereas I cant see the efijy doing that, IF it was made to sell to the masses. Sure old skool nuts would buy it, but I dont think it would attract a newer market segment. now, did ppl know that the first half dozen 48-215's were actually made in USA? the panels were shipped to australia and put together, fixed up, pulled apart, and castings were made...... so there are actually TWO No.1 48-215's ! true - the 1st USA model and the 1st off the AUS production line. 32line, did your uncle who supposidly designed the efijy, know this? if so I can then see why the promo car was designed that way......... but still, and ugly piece of shit IMO. Hasnt evovled "effectively" in 50 years.

FFS grow a brain -maybe you should read the shit you spit outa your mouth keep your f**ked up abusive comments to yourself does calling me a dumbass make you feel like a man, ey? (edit: been around 48-215's and Fj's all my life, driven more Fx/Fj's then youve rooted goats, and thats a few)

IMO only a VG30 or a R34 Neo turbo will get you to say around 180awkw with a good tune, but it wont go to 200awkw unless you're pushing it to destruction - however if you had one of these turbos with an exhaust steel wheel then yes, it could take more boost and get 200awkw But youd need; large fmic, great airflow to airfilter, large fuel pump, adjustable fpr, full hiflowing 3inch+ exhaust system, larger-reading afm, and an ecu of sorts (piggyback like safc/sitc combo, or emanage, or full computer - hell, its your gearbox!) highflow a standard R33 turbo tho, and do the above, and you'll be maxxing out the injectors before you reach maximum power from the turbo. how does 215awkw sound?

Put it this way - why does the Aussie Joe-Public simply LOVE their hi-po motorbikes?? I'll tell ya - speed, speed, and more speed... thats straightline speed and cornering speed. Thats how bikes are judged here, how quick they are in all-round conditions. Im finaly using my smarts, and walking away from riding tho. To see if its chipped, open up the kick panel on the pasenger side (under golvebox), check over the front and rear of the ECU for stickes, stamps, tampering etc.

Please guide me - Im in need of a new antivirus program, one with the lot (anti spam, firewall, etc). Whats recommended for a small business? Used to use Vet, then Norton, now McAphee............ but need to update again next month.

I supplied my ebay car alarm to Graham West Workshops, and they called a bloke in. Was pretty cheap, think around $220 to wire up the full black-wired car alarm, the electronic boost controller and the Apexi SITC, oh and the direct wire feed to the new 040 fuel pump.

Thanks for the Tip, Sgt. Cubes Received the product, pretty much as advertised and as discussed in this thread and a Qld-section thread. Needs rebuild, might even have it rebored and further "highflowed", there's room for that for sure, a cpl mm until the edge of the housing. So, dunno if I'll do it myself, will get quotes first. My thanks to all involved. Brendan
