Any Stageas In Adelaide Coming On The Cruise Today?
Tangles replied to pixel8r's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
More pics from the actual cruise on this thread : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...8093&st=200 page 10 onwards................ Sorry - only took a few of the Stags........ my little lad was SOOOOO wanting to climb the big Rocking Horse, "play with me Dadda, play with me" - how can you resist that? Was great to meet you Steve (Pixl8r) - nice and clean S2; pity about that front fender scratch hey! Im guessing you never saw the crack in my rear bar then? Alex, cheers; you're right, as always, GTT rims on a Stagea without centrecaps looks HORN (imo - others agreed on the day tho) Apologies for not getting better pics - its hard to watch the youngun, chat to likeminded ppl (great to meet the ledgendary Cubes etc), and take photos too. Top arvo tho, always a pleasure to drive thru the Adelaide Hills...... hell, I even felt my 'chassis' for the first time, LOL -

once Ive got it, I plan on having some fun with it... my little project for my Stagea, something I feel I may be able to do. Cant afford to throw too much $$ at it tho. I'll clean her up, take measurements and photos, research info, and most likely repost with questions on how to best match the compressor & exhaust wheels. So, hows best to clean a turbo? Can you power-sand the metal surface to get off the rust and polish it up? Should the components be soaked in anything to help clean it? etc. Or am I daydreaming, and best advised to send it to a turbo shop (definately will for balancing)............? Id love to give it a go myself tho

dangerous_daveo I feel you are right........ Ive probably let myself down with my conduct. .... its just that, on my side of the fence, being a very honest and trusting person (probably under stress too with my pain & finance situations) - after reading all the info I found, Ive probably put 2+2 together and got it wrong ie, good price, still on car, unknown condition, extra payment for rego'd-post, multiple feedbacks on ebay after the sale, info on previous trade history, loss of contact, SAU info Ive received, etc. Phil's contacted me multiple times now and assured that the turbo has been sent, so I believe we may have sorted out my misunderstanding........... I wish to take this opportunity to apologise for any undue stress I may have caused. Seems to me that everyone deserves more of a fair go with their 2ndchance, so to Phil; I hope you get that, again my apologies if I have caused trouble by my reckless comments. I hope I can rectify that by my sincere apologies. Brendan (edit: please note I have now edited my other posts too)

just dont give her too much stick over the last 5mins of the drive, should be aok then. admittedly Im not a fan of the park-at-a-petrol-bowser-with-turbo-timer-running trick.
-
no he wasnt have you had the GTR on a dyno to see afr's? if so maybe print it up here for the Professors to scour over...........
-
Hey AC - are you saying that if you have a bush bearing turbo, THEN a timer is worth using? (edit: in case of accidental hot-turbo shut off) as it stands, the week I got my Stagea I turned off the timer......... but if I go to a bush bearing highflow turbo (dont flame me, its all I'll ever be able to afford me thinks), then maybe just maybe I should have it on ?? LOL

Thread Edited As Deal Is Now Completed.
Tangles replied to quicknissan's topic in General Automotive Discussion
sounds genuine to me............ simply bad luck for all involved. -
1 year ago my Stagea was 18k private sale in Qld, 9 months prior to that it cost 25k to land and comply.... now you can get the same car landed and complied for 11k. 2years = a 14k drop in price. Not something I personally am concerned about, as this is my 10year (of ownership) car.
-
LOL - thanks for that but it seems that the ball is rolling now, no need whatsoever ! Ive got to let ebay deal with it, thats if I never receive the item. simple as that. Cheers for your thoughts and your soothing words GTST anyway..... it seems (now) that it has a missing exhaust wheel. who knows where you can source these? what info do I need to try to make a good 'match' to the front compressor wheel? seeing that there is supposidly no exhaust wheel, and that it has been pre-highflowed etc, should I also be looking at replacing the cartridge completely and even the front compressor wheel? (ie as in full rebuild or wheels, seals, and cartridge)

This is a mess........ So now its been mis-advertised too???? I was clearly told it was sold in an unknown condition, and that the R32 it was on was a wrecked car driven into the yard......... Plus I bought it on the 8th Aug and paid for it same day - paid extra mind you for registered post too (still awaiting tracking number & details). If it was blown last week, after my payment date - then thats plain dodgy. Dare I quote: "Was fitted to a r32 skyline making 257 at the rear wheels on 14psi with only fmic and fuel pump as modifications. Will not be removed from car for more photos until I get atleast 1 bid! Item is sold Suit Rebuild regardless of condition!" Again, I stress I was clearly told this was on a car that was driven into the yard. If its stuffed then so be it tho - part of the reason I bought it, the risk involved seemed fair enough (like a lucky dip, IMO). Plus I can quote from emails received too....... Shane081 - the ebay did NOT clearly state it suited rebuild. See above ^ "sold in a suit rebuild condition, as condition IS NOT KNOWN....." is the info I got via an email when I queried this turbo prior to my bid. R32 Driftah - Im not the type of person to abuse someone. Lets leave it at that. If you are his brother, and this turbo was sold off your car (as you've stated), then yes your help in sorting this out would be highly appreciated - and thats not said lightly either. You guys at the wreckers yard (what ever the name is now) have my details............... Brendan
-
then I SINCERELY thank you. Cheers for your help, that is greatly appreciated.

PM sent shaneo81. Just wondering now why you assume Ive received a tracking number? Do you work with Phil at "kedrondrift" (changed name I see ?)................ I havent received shit. Been frustrating enough trying to get a response. All my info that Ive collected points to the fact Im being screwed-over, and I dont like that. If Im wrong, I'll happily eat my words and repost nothing but praise and happy-goodness feelings etc etc etc., but my gut instict says Im not wrong.............. now, if these thread posts, my emails, my dealings with ebay, etc, help ensure that I get the turbo, then so be it. As stated in my PM to you, I dont believe (at this stage) I have anything to apologise for. Id be happier if Im wrong tho. Brendan

No mate, Im jumping up and down because I dead-set feel as if Ive lost my money. I dont think Ive jumped to conclusions - Ive got a brain, a fairly smart one too thank god, so it seems pretty obvious whats going on. FYI - no, I dont have a tracking number, Ive asked and asked for one, its been "promised" etc etc, just hearing the time-old excuse that Fidel has used before - it was sent, returned as address wasnt correct (wtf?), there are photos of the receipt (I gladly provided my mobile number), and again I have asked for the tracking number and the courier company name. Its EXTREMELY frustrating when a heap of emails go un-answered, there is a lot of negative feedback lately on the ebay account; some of that is very concerning regarding an alleged stolen car, and then there is the previous criminal fraudulent history, the fraudulent activities and consequent bannings on SAU and other performance car sights etc etc etc. Put 2 & 2 together - WTF am I meant to think ???? The sellers involved have my contact details - and they have my money. All I want is the said turbo. Brendan
