Can aftermarket R33 GTR springs fit on a R34 GT sedan?
-
Best of luck with fixing it / resolving the issue. Maybe post up your quotes for fixing ?
-
nah, ya didnt use the word "stagea" ........... if only youd said you were going to use the yahoo auctions to bring in heaps of Stag gear........ have a look at: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=74993

a SAFCII and a SITC, plus a bleed controller of some sort (ebc, or $35 unit, etc), bosch 040 fuel pump and nismo fuel pressure regultor, more efficient fmic, high flow air filter and full 3inch exhaust system, a z32 or Q45 afm, and of course a highflowed turbocharger, IS enough to go past 200awkw - why complicate things? SAFCII is under $400 new on ebay (and if you dont receive it make a claim for you money back!), whilst a SITC can be found once a month on ebay for roughly $220USD plus delivery (I got mine new for that price, 99% are 2ndhand for the price tho). Thats under $720 AUS delivered with instructions. Fitted and tuned for under $1300 for sure. Other parts would be $4k give or take. For the price of a manual conversion, youve got a very nice auto RS4 with over 200awkw. Add 2.5k for suspension, 2.5k for mags and tyres, and you're just over the 10k mark for mods with a nicely sorted package. Easy.

I agree - not that that means much. Lots of varying the RPM, ie the load on the engine, is the way to go. Never let it 'idle' drive, ie sit at 60kmph for 5mins at 2500rpm; vary the load.
-
only ONE shop in Australia can tune it tho. thats OK if you are a sydney-sider resident.................... best to PM Satanic on the subject, but Id have thought you'd need up to 3grand to buy, install and tune.
-
http://mototuneusa.com/thanx.htm for your info - 5 parts to the running-in of an engine, plus his advice makes sense. Im not liable for blame if she blows! - but my bike engine loved me for it
-
ebay, nengun, etc?
-
If everyones working to a singular date, Id be in ! ................ would wind down the boost tho, LOL
-
hahahhaa 4sure! there are so many variables with running in engines - maybe talk to Cruisliner or Sydneykid about it? thats a fair sized list there.......... well done and best of luck. have a read: http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm (warning: for bike engines!)

so, youve currently got an auto? would LOVE info on gear shifts, quality thereof etc, current condition of the gearbox. from all thr info Ive received, there isnt a full computer that operates the Nissan auto computer correctly (ie retard the timing, and control the shift points)..................................
-
Good luck Ken. Got a list of what went int it? Full rebuild, etc? What turbo / s ?
-
It looks good. Might weigh a little less too. Id love one on my silky white pearl S1 Stagea for the Panda effect. Cant afford it tho. Damn.

Purple-pearl or Lilac-pearl respray Gold powedercoat to mags Gold or Black bonnet yum
-
LOL - sound like me. why do you "need" a split dump pipe? looked into a simple turbo to cat-converter 3inch stainless pipe, and a 3inch highflow cat-converter? this combo would be less in cost (at the most, equal in cost) then a split dump pipe on its own. JustJap 3inch stainless steel dump pipe (turbo to catconverter) = ~$220 + $20 delivery 3inch highflow cat-converter = ~$150 + delivery both the above can be found on ebay, lol

Quiet Non-restrictive Exhaust Systems For R33gts25t
Tangles replied to discopotato03's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Buy AlexCims old Fujitsubo exhaust (see stagea classifieds) - cut out the dinged part and it'd fit perfectly on a R32/33/34. Stagea exhausts seem to be around 20cm longer than Skylines. -
$60 AUS delivered. Hmmmmm - would like one, do it with my 3yr old, but........ seems a bit much.
-
whats the problem tho, out of interest? ie no boost, unlimited boost, etc etc, or is all good and working / functioning correctly? looks to me as if you have a Greddy electronic boost controller...... and if that is working correctly then you probably shouldnt change anything, LOL
-
OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH Yeah. you should have seen it ! very very black and very gluggy.............. changed right on time. Theres no way Id allow oils to sit in a Rb engine for 10000kms now, no way. 5000km oil changes for sure.
-
Fair enough - heard that myself on the grapevine too. We used Penrite 5-60w oil.... seems the goods. Might go back to Mobile 1 when I do a highflow turbo, either that or Castrol Edge or the current Penrite stuff. Plenty of time tho, only do around 8000km per year. By the next oil change I hope to have one of the quick release valves too Ox!
-
same, apologies in advance......... might have it open now and then whilst Im at work........... but Im generally damn busy at work unless Im having a slackers moment. at home, meh dont think so, got kids and wife to deal with, can msn me if ya wish but generally after dealing with the kids etc its then relax time on BF2, killing ppls - need my kill fix LOL. tonight Im going on a massacre LOL, its amazing how all your worries fly out the door when you throw a 'nade into the middle of an enemy squad! or so says MajorTangles

Im using Penrite 5w-60w seems a decent oil.

seems like a good cause - let us know !

How far is safe for overclocking? I over clock my VGA card a little, from 430 to 475mh speed and 1200 to 1275mhz, works fine and is stable, can go up past 500/1300 but I dont see the point. Its a Msi 7800GTX, and every option is turned up full! Ive put more voltage thru my DDR2 567 ram 2 x 1gig sticks, but havent overclocked it that much, only now and then. Also put more voltage thru the P4 3.4ghz CPU, and now and then I'll clock it by around 3% to take it to a 3.5ghz. I can step it so that the mem gets clocked by the same amount, or not at all. I run like 8 fans, lol, so yo can feel the heat when I do overclock everything. I use the Gigabyte overclocking tool that came with the Mobo to clock the cpu and mem, and rivatuner or Nvidia options for the graphcs card. so, is it safe to use the PC day in day out, running 3.5 in liue of 3.4ghz for the CPU, with the FSB at 205 rather then 200. I dunno........ its an expensive machine I built up, using sata raid with 2 x 200gig HDs and 1 backup standard sata 80gig HD. Good machine, dont want to ruin it prematurely, but would like max performance. Brendan

One little lapse in concentration at ~200kmph can easily put you into a slide & into a hard object, such as a tree, fence post, rock, etc etc. With my knee pain, this is the sole reason (in effect) for why I am walking away from my motorcycle riding (Adelaide hills only, never metro area). I found I wasnt concentrating enough "when on full tap" due to pain and could conceivably then be a danger to myself and others. Top skills mean bugger all if you arnt switched on 110% mentally. This goes for the standard Corolla city traffic driver to the extreme McLarens $1m supercar road driver. Crashes are caused by a lack of, or a drop in, concentration. Smartest choice I made was to acknowledge the above fact (about not concentrating enough), and walk away from my passion, never to ride again. Always best to be safe rather then sorry - or be dead. Concolences to the families involved. Brendan
