Ive got the same dump pipe - is beautiful and nice and responsive. But - the dump pipe connecting to the turbo, the welds - they are not that great. Pretty poor in fact, in my opinion. But for $200 you cant complain too much. I bet youve got a leak there - take it off and reweld around the edges. Costs bugger all. Fixes up the welds around that area and can then be guaranteed it aint leaking from there!

get a Stagea ! "shouldnt" have a problem then

get a SAFC, either series 1 (~$50 used) or series 2 (~$200 used or $350 for new) install it, make sure every bolt-on mod you're doing is on the car - and dyno tune. more power and save $ in the long run.

get a full australia wide insurance approved black wired alarm system. (edited: LOL) I got it off ebay for $160 delivered brand new, then paid bugger all for the install. thing is - going to cost me $100+ to get a replacement "zapper"

I cant argue against my fuel gauge! simpe as that Maxx's cai box utilises the standard snorkel, getting far supirior flows of air then what I was previously. Its cold air now, and tune is now off because of it. Its getting so much cold air now on boost that the ecu's are throwing in extra fuel to compensate. when I pay $100-odd for a quick retune I sincerely expect a 5awkw gain from the tune.

Just found out - I cant use an intake wheel,unfortunately. SO - Id like to purchase soley the Exhaust adj.cam wheel, to suit a series 2 RB25det. is that ok matey? Cheers, Brendan

I dont agree - from my personal experience. Rb25det, K&N pod filter...... open engine bay, sucks hot air.... was all good added a heat shield eclosure (side and lid), didnt really change anything. But then I took that off and added Maxx's CAI enclosure - now the car is sucking in so much cold air, my tune on the SAFC & SITC is now out, using 20% more fuel per tank, etc etc. With a retune I could regain that 20% fuel per tank and go from 160awkw to mid-160's. Sucking in pure cold air with no hot engine bay air will result in a HP gain.

Brad, simply out of a matter of interest (yes, Im interested in your total buildup, LOL, and Im NOT a slanger, far from it - backslaps all round, hear hear) - would love to know what the 2.7 pulled on low boost.

nah, came from a popped motor; says to unwise me that the turbo is fine and that the oil was simply the result of 'blowby'. however Im no mechanic.... LOL start her up and see if she squeels like a stuck pig, if she doesnt all is hopefully good ! (love the chips n lemon comment, lmao)

well its an Apex'i boost guage, with holder...... using simple double sided foam sticky 'tape' to hold it down; doesnt budge, can be lifted off with some effort, and doesnt leave residue marks afterwards. The original Apex'i tape was Strong, this current stuff is just from a normal auto store.

NO hell no. Im thinking of it all the time (260rs with auto, lol). depends on your parameters that you have to work within: Im over 2meters tall= means dont fit in auto stagea very well let alone a manual stagea had 9 knee surgeries and counting= means manual is an impossibility, pretty much auto 260rs would be "faster" in traffic than a manual. But Ive come to the conclusion Im better off sticking to my 30k budget for my Project: Steath Wagon, and get it into to Stagea 200 club. Have a happy car, with nice stealthy looks, modifications to mags, suspn, brakes, stereo, auto, engine, tuning. Dont need a 260rs to fulfill those (my) requirements. Id be scared to "try" to add a automatic gearbox to a RB26dett brick.
