Them's are the best rebuilds edit: fyi rebuilt by an ex 1970's-80's world 500gp privateer racer, who ever picks up this beast from Southern Yamaha wont be disappointed (free shamless plug, on consignment)

I usually make sure Im off-boost and driving at speed limit for the final 2 minutes, then shut down once all items (kids included) are taken out of the car. Ive actually got a turbo timer, its switched off (first mod I did, was to turn it of LOL) - a) illegal in SA, b) dangerous IMO when at petrol stations.

whats the standard "cooling down" time then, for us non-turbotimer users? Ive been shutting down too quickly IMO - sort of trying to shag the turbo so I Need a hiflow, not working as yet !

I love it, top game... only ever played 2 games like that (online) - dayofdefeat:source and BF2. Madaz, you gotta get on Karkand - 120hrs for 8000points LOL (I was exactly the same!!), in the past 100hrs Ive only played Karkand and gone from like 9000 to 31000 !! Love the game, dont like EA's attitude to this latest patch (read the news, they found the server connection problem over a month ago but havent fixed it)

I got banned twice by Node............... once in a plane as a NOOB on Wake as PLA - sent missles into the US chopper, missed, got banned, fair enough my fault. had only been playing for a few weeks and didnt know the rules. second time really shits me. got banned for leaving a car on the PLA wake runway......... baby was screaming, I had to see what was going on, left the car as it was still driving, it ended up on the runway - some1 took a screen shot and complained that Iwas trying to enforce a TK (yeah, riiiiight)............. damn admins dont give a toss about the players that try to do the right thing. Internode and I exchanged some particularly nasty emails...... If I knew how to screenshot Id be able to get some1 banned in each and every round. Im not that sort of personb, BUT Id love to know how to screenshot.... some players consistently base rape on Karkand. as it is, tonight I was on from 7.30 to 10pm, played ONE WHOLE game, every other game was disconnected by the server, damn 1.3 patch. Its a joke. Been 6 weeks now since that was released and it still aint fixed. Ive got Bilstein shocks......... lowered the car by bugger all (sits 360mm centre of wheel to guard at all 4 corners). BUT they are SO much 'better' than stock.... there is no way that stock suspn could be regarded as being 'competent' when you compare them to the current Bilsteins Im using. IMO Ive now got a 'safer' ride than before. Anyway, my bikes suspn was once stock, and I used to get thrown all over the place thru the Adelaide Hills, a high-side waiting to happen. Seriously. But once I modified the suspn to suit my riding style and riding weight then it was all good (mainly... depends where, road temp, and speed LOL). Plus as far as Im aware, its pretty easy to be sent to Regency even with a stock car! (ie blow off valve "sounds loud", as previously mentioned). Meh - anyway, thats why I bought a Stagea in lieu of a Skyline, far less attention when comparing a Volvo-looking wagon to a sports coupe. Altough when finished she'll have as much guts as a HSV Monaro *LOL*

I cant believe ppl here on this SAU forum would condone such activities.... hell, how many threads encompassing "illegal street racing" have been flamed and closed here on SAU? IMO thrashing the bejeesus outa a skyline resulting in having the car driving sideways reprents dangerous driving, driving with undue car, misuse of motorvehicle, etc etc etc. Doesnt matter whether its a mechanic or the owner of the car -if its driven like that on a PUBLIC motorway then I dont see how anyone could suggest that its OK. meh, enough said. Its THIS ^^ sort of activity that gives skyline owners a bad name. I mean, if your mate saw it and told you about it, how many other ppl saw it and had that image of a skyline sideways imprinted forever in their mind? edit: maybe Im outa place saying that here.... but.... still..... no-one can argue that the potentially faulty car has been tested in a safe environment, as it hasnt.

Id be MIGHTY pissed-off too. There is no way a mechanic should drive a customers car like that, as it is Skylines get bad enough publicity. If a public member witnessed this, they could report you to the police etc.
