  1. That's a pretty cool thing you did for your mate, good work mate. Now if only every marriage lasts the distance! Here's hoping your friend & wife live happily ever after.
  2. Had afternoon tea with the 48-215FxFj holden car club at my olds today after their victor run. One of the members is into racing, 'had' a ford focus with over 100k put into it. Massive crash in the Adelaide rally car was smashed into bits, lucky to have come out unscathed. One driver blew his 500k Lamborghini engine a couple weeks ago, rebuilt it then it blew a week later, 100k down the drain. Same week bought a new 500k lambo & stacked that one. Wow, who ever said racing was cheap? Bloke with the written off focus wrote his other race car off a few weeks earlier in the Hills.... One of the Porsche drivers was jumping over a crest at 200 & a r32 flew past him (in the air) at over 250! Insane overtaking from a 'kid driver, apparently. One year I'm definitely going to do the mt.alma climb & classic Adelaide rally. Also, one driver borrowed a r32 gtr which proceeded to catch fire at the end of a stage, would hate to be him! Not sure on all the exact details but sounded like a pretty full on event...
  3. The connections inside the AFM would be brittle and have failed - you're in 'limp' mode currently. Cut the silicon around the top of the afm off and resolder the connecting pins. There are "AFM fix" tutorials on this site, such as - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/113284-fixing-your-rb26-afms/
  4. no Multi-grip? sounds like a poor excuse for a job they obviously didnt want to be bothered with. Best of luck with the tune. Bit of a warning tho, youve been driving without a tune since the last round of mods. Rb25's are notorious for damaging ringlands. your oil useage could refelct the start of some piston damage. I found out the hard way (back on April 11th) and am still without any mode of transport ....
  5. thanks guys; its really hard actually. so anxious, very uncomfortable, random periods of time I feel so sketchy pretty much just got to get thru an hr at a time Hopefully I'll feel ok in a week or so time. V.worried about things going on in my life currently but 1st step to making some sort of future for myself is here & now, to get through this difficult withdrawal stage. Its such a mindf*ch that through no fault of my own Ive been a narcotic addict for many years. Constant pain is debilitating but so are the drugs the experts put you on. Mentally its been ruining me but now my focus is on getting better in my mind & soul.
  6. Bill Keen at ATS Adelaide Turbo Services for a turbo build. A champion bloke. Well Im into another day past the pain killer long-term use. Been a bit sketchy and too uncomfortable to sleep at night, but getting there.
  7. Im using OBX twin headers & 2-1 front pipe for my track-based Rb26 R32. The quality is excellent and they offer a life time guaranttee They sell split dump pipes for Rb25 and Id suggest the quality would be the next-best when compared to a genuine brand-name Japanese item. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/OBX-Steel-DUMP-PIPE-NISSAN-SKYLINE-GTR-R33-RB25DET-NEW-/160642561402?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item25670af57a
  8. around 60hrs in the withdrawal atm. feel pretty sketchy, anxious etc. too uncomfortable to sleep got to go through it & just get past the next few weeks once Im out the other side & past the addiction Im going to commit myself to actually being something radiologist is the long term goal; have to dedicate myself to study. I know I can do it so its a matter of one step at a time.
  9. Yeah I reckon Sydneys game is better right at the moment than the Hawks. Carlton should get over WC in a good contest, however I feel the Eagles are a year away from a GF playoff; they have had an awesome year but Carlton match up very well on them (and C'Wood/Geelong match up over carlton). Ultimately Geelong have the player experience, skill factor and the game to beat the Pies on the big day as long as they bring their A+game. Having said that if C'Wood bring their A+game to the GF day they wouldnt be beaten. It all comes down to the positive run off the half back flank, and the half-forwards to be the big goal scorers. If Geelongs midfield can keep with the Pies it'll come down to one hell of a final 10-minutes!!! Id like to see cartlon in the GF tho, perhaps they have the midfield and halfback line to match Collingwood too? But the pressure would undo them overall. C'arn you Crows!
  10. wow.. perhaps I should move!! talk about affordable! - 2-for-1 house deal http://finance.ninemsn.com.au/newsbusiness/8297032/irish-agent-offers-two-houses-for-the-price-of-one-deal
  11. Id love to see Carlton vs Geelong, we'll see how it pans out. just my projected thoughts on the current 6 teams in the race. Fremantle will trade Jon Griffin to Port Power, or potentially do a straight swap with the Lions?
  12. Geelong to beat Collingwood in the GF by 5 goals. carlton to beat west coast, and sydney to beat hawthorn in a tight clash.
  13. well it looks like my house sale contract is falling through; signed back end May and had extensions of time-frame until end this month to enable the buyer to sell their property (x2). Buyer refused a recent reasonable offer, now the agent wants his selling fees paid out - money I dont have & wouldnt have had until a sale had been formalised. Bit of a bullsh*t situation but thats the current RE market. Been going through a horribal withdrawal period from the drug fentanyl as Ive been tapering down the strength. About to get off it completely as from mid this week; going to be a rough few weeks ahead. Past 2.5 weeks have been nothing short of awful. 80x the strength of heroin. If you have ANY loved ones who are about to be prescribed Fentanyl (Durogesic patches) PLEASE PLEASE pleade with them NOT TO get on it. It works against your central nervous system and withdrawal is horrible. Attached is a little info if anyone is interested. Ive only recently realised how much it has messed me up, my research recently has explained to me why I feel that way I do. Every 3rd day Ive been into withdrawal for over 3yrs now. Ive got to be strong now and work my way out of the hole Im in. The Duragesic.docx
  14. Researching & finding that fentanyl withdrawal is as bad as it gets. Last two weeks have been pretty awful. I've found that most metabolisms use up the slow release drug over a 48hr period, I've been replacing the patches after 72+hrs since I've been on it for the last 40odd months. Realistically I've been going through withdrawal every 3rd & 4th days in that time. Side effects are lengthy. Just going from 25mu to 12micrograms/hr has been extremely hard but I'm determined to get off this nasty stuff asap. Fentanyl is over 80times stronger than morphine. Do not recommend. If you were to put one in your mouth you'd overdose within minutes, just saying. Pretty much a bit of research today has explained to me why ive felt the way I have the past 3yrs. Depression, anxiousness, insomnia, crawling out of your skin, irritable, irrationality ..... plenty of undesirable side effects. Its going to take me months to feel on top of things again, but damn, I'm determined. I'm going to get better, get strong again, and be a success.
  15. Very happy to hear that! Bit of a nightmare sourcing the issue hey, wiring is getting old in these cars now, brittle from heat cycles etc. Had to replace a random section of my wiring loom that powered the fuel pump (brittle, shorted out a little). Anyway congrats that it is running again, enjoy the fresh motor.
  16. Thanks for the advice lads, very much appreciated. Admittedly no Im not in a good way; my mental & physical health has gone out the door. I'll make an appointment for next week & get in to see a mental health proffessional again. I know its neccessary but been delaying it simply due to costs (sad but true). Whilst Ive got my name on the track-day list I'll probably not be able to afford it, but would like to hold a spot until deposits are due (you never know whats around the corner). Cheers. Brendan
  17. sorry, shouldnt have posted that above crap. just struggling a little, thats all. dont mind me...
  18. after some advice - what brand sleeping tablets (prescription) work REALLY well?? Im slowly coming off the Fentynal (Durogesic) slow-release 'morphine' pain-patches, as I dont want to be on this shite any longer (would NOT recommend). Really want to be clean/sober/clear-headed for Uni next year.... I defferred this year as I just wasnt able to concentrate, nor was I dealing with the pain very well. Im pretty sure that the Durogesic has actually been magnifying pain spikes; feeling ok pain-wise 75% of the time over the past 3 weeks wheras the previos 3 years Id be feeling the pain a fair bit. This stuff is nasty to come off from, leaves you with constant "heebies / skin-crawlies" as essentially my body is addicted to it, as youd expect. Fentynal is a synthetic; Im faily positive synthetics dont mix well with me. Been having a huge battle with severe depression for 18months now at the least. The best thing I can do for myself, to help ensure I dont go topping myself like my hind-brain keeps telling me to dayin dayout, is to get off the damned drug. Problem is over the past 3 weeks while Ive been cutting doseage down I find I simply cant sleep at night. Every single night I lay awake until 6-7am, then doze a little during the morning (some days Ive been so tired I havent gotten up at all - not good.) Durning the night trying to relax Im very uncomfortable going thru mild withdrawel & just cant sleep. Pretty much I want to knock myself out at night for a week or so and just get off this horrible drug. Over the counter sleeping tablets (docile, restavit) dont work at all for me. Any opinions? Im very tired and its stressing me out a bit....
  19. Please add me to the IN list, no timer required though. Thanks Sau.

  22. Fact: labor are hurting this country. I used to vote democrats but dont know who id vote for now. Greens & independents arnt helping things, labor are trash. Who else to vote for? Shite.... All i know is I'm struggling bigtime as I'm sure many others are. Trying to find work but not having luck at this time.
  23. shipping was around 200usd. I'm using on a r32 gtst, from 280 to 324mm. Excellent brake upgrade for the cost. I would like to purchase 322mm 350z brembo rear rotors and a spare dogbone adapter set I've got but unsure if it would fit/work. Haven't got the money spare to trial it, so I'll leave it as a thought...
  24. You could use a cheap 'smog pump' from a US wrecker as in essence it works like a supercharger on the exhaust gases. Would have liked to hook one up to my old motorbike intake, run off a airconditioner pulley motor. Could use this theory to help evacuate exhaust gasses quickly as per your thoughts. Wouldn't cost much to fabricate & try out.
  25. +1 checked out my GT3076r he built a few years prior, rebalanced, no-charge
