For sure; always comes down to budget & cash at hand, tho. So, if you've got $500 to grab a split dump system then sure do it.... when I did my first bout of tuning it was all about being on a tight budget at the time, and still is. I can sell my dump pipe at anytime and uprade, but really at this stage of the cars tune (160akw) its a hole and flows thru exhaust gasses pretty damn well for its price. Just waiting until the time is right.

Thats why I ended up buying locally (Qld, private, search CoolPC). You get to see the car, drive the car, and for $17900 at the time was same price as a Stagea at the jap auctions (close enough anyway) to not be bothered with the importing hassles and budget blowouts. I searched and searched the market for around 8 months before finding a neat Stagea that stood out (ie Dayz edition, go the Dayz, you rock Mr. Dayz!), that was in good condition with low kms with some history behind it. anyway - Handling........... prior to Sydneykids suspn group buy I thought it handled pretty good (let down by the budget tyres). However, now with 17s and awesome tyres and most of Garys suspn kit (standard springs, no castor kits) it handles brilliently. For a turbocharged intercooled tuned 4wd automatic wagon, anyway! LOL Im a happy happy Panda (actually, would love a carbon bonnet to make the Panda look!)

hhhmmm all too hard..... this is what I bought: a BATMBL 3inch hiflow cat converter, bolted that on to mate onto the 3inch cat-back exhaust system that was already on the car. then I went off to ebay, and bought, for roughly $220 delivered, a Just Jap stainless steel 3inch dump pipe (from turbo to catconverter). easy, for an R33 gtst, no hassles, installed by mechanics when I had other stuff tuned. Mind you, thinking about it, Im sure they machined down the edge that mates to the turbo, and added a spot weld and threw in a gasket - like under $100 to install it. Quality was good, not 100% perfect, but definately useable and a good price I thought. Does the job! Anyway, that makes it cheap and easy. why pay $300 more for a split system??? I dont get it, unless you are chasing maximum HP

agreed - get a Z32 afm. There was a group buy recently for around $300. or 2ndhand ones are around the $200 mark, same for a Q45 afm. both q45 and z32 'read' more than a standard rb25afm.............. then tune the a/f ratios with a SAFC and you'll get better mileage! my mileage has gone down hill big time, using 15kms more per 1/4 tank, since I intsalled the free flowing CAI box. I need a retune of the SAFC but its too damn expensive........ need to save up for the bigarsed turbo first!

Cahill & Aloisi had awesome strikes, well deserved win. The Aussies controlled around 70% of the play in my book......... although, our defense looks penetratable. I think the tall timber up foward set up the match, Viduka needed a hand in the 1st half & Kennedy was obviously the man to give Australia a height advatage up front - that brings the players like Cahill into the match; just like a ruckman/rover play.... bring the little guys into the attacking contest by using the big fellas to feed it to them on a platter. Kennedy and Viduka must start as a tandem deep forward setup to beat Brazil, again feed the little strikers around the box. But defense is an issue, Wilkshire was out of place..... pity Vidmar isnt around anymore although I reckon Neill played a top game. Was a fantastic final 10 minutes..... after scapping thru the equiliser Cahill was Very lucky not to give away a penalty, then BOOM what a strike by Cahill, well setup by Aloisi! That goal served notice to Brazil and Croatia I reckon.......... Aloisi's run past 2 defenders in extra time was worldclass football as well. Was on his nonpreffered right foot fending off his close-checking opponent on his left, overstepped the ball and boomed it thru on his left follow thru, while being taken out by the 2nd defender on the right..... goal of the night in my book; that one had me excited!

spend a cpl hundred on maxx's cai & pod, use the now-unused hole under the airbox to draw in air via a front air feed...... would then be a real nice setup, all finished then with loads of cool-charged airflow. or modify your snorkel to suit..... or sell it to Ska! and metal-fabricate a new snorkel?
