  1. have a read: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=83819
  2. hhmm, Vange..... you got a damn good 'bod (if that is indeed you all sun-tanned in the avatar pic) is all I'll say On a side note, your previous avatar picture, going back a few months, with the front end of your white R33, looked TOO MUCH like a Lancer. Why is it that on some angles, white R33's from the front look like Lancers?
  3. Im in 200% would definately want one, dont care about paint/engraving etc etc etc not a bid issue for me but would definately want the air deflector for the standard snorkel. sweeeeeet
  4. Yeah Gary - totally hear you! Nice example. Its just a *hard* financial decision to make; hell whilst Im leaning to this particular turbo myself, Id rather a BB turbo for piece-of-mind. Are bushbearing turbos that internally fragile? Turn off engine quickly and chances are turbo's siezed? Hell, another example, if you have a crash youd most likely need to turn the engine off pretty quickly too!!!
  5. c'mon be real Paul (said in my nicest voice possible!!) - this is a forced induction performance modification. People just want to know whats the best value for money FOR THEIR SITUATION Not everyone here races, not everyone here drags, not everyone here has a manual gearbox and hence a PowerFC, plus not everyone here is made of greenbacks - Im sure as hell not! Personally I have a total 30k budget including car, so I want to fit as much in as possible for the best price, ie best bang for buck. Its that simple really. I mean, I want 200awkw, but if I can get away with paying half the price of a BB hiflow unit, thats going to be reliable etc etc etc - then why not? but that sort of decsion (for me anyhow) isnt taken lightly, Id also personally like pice of mind (hence BB), although Slide does offer a warranty (Im sure I read that somewhere!). I highly doubt a warranty would be offered on a dodgy product. Its all about research - and if this thread helps people to make up their mind either way, then so be it. My -2c worth (yes thats right, Im that poor LOL). Brendan edit: although, if I can broker a good deal, then Id love to go BB hiflow, its just so HARD!!! lol
  6. You can buy drill-bit polishing kits, ppl use them for their motorcycle rims...... dunno, that info might help if you want to diy.
  7. would love to take a GTR out on the 'ring, and then a Zx12R... now THAT would be special
  8. LOL yeah thats why I didnt notice you then...... now lets not mention Volvo's ever again (eh Nozila??!!) seeing a lot of R34's lately, saw one recently, 2 door, white, huge rear wing, sounded HORN with the loud exhaust, manual, pretty sure it would have been fairly mod'd.
  9. going to have one final ride, to clean out the carbs (havent ridden since 3rd january, and only 4 times in 8months). then it'll be advertised in the Advertiser the following weekend, for under 11grand
  10. OK Stagea suspension is gone The R33 GTR shocks are on hold. The lowered R33 GTR springs front and rear are available, I reckon theyd be worth maybe $150 delivered within australia.... or you tell me.
  11. yeah that was me, had the stereo cranking out Infected Mushroom, and was enjoying the drive home Mind you tho, Im sorry but I didnt see you at all..... I guess thats ok tho as I hear the Stagea is a bloody Volvo anyway! LOL
  12. whilst I might get way more kms then before, I should state that the Stag has spent a few hours on the dyno with 2 tuning stages, first tuning a SAFC (fuel went from ~230 to ~360), and now with the sitc, if I mother it a bit I'll be in the low 400's as stated, if tromped a lot on boost then high 300's (all before fuel light comes on). replacing the O2 sensor, I feel, worked in my case. as far as getting GTR ones, Im not sure, Im poor and only have the lowly rb25.
  13. 'SIF!@ betcha keepin' it!! LOL
  14. search Jspec site. you can pick up a R33 GTR 4door by AUTECH for around 40k personally Id like an Autech Stagea, with auto gearbox! LOL
  15. Ive got a partition with lid for sale at the moment - $50 in the carparts&accessories4sale section. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=120747 see pics worked well, although Ive now replaced it with a proper CAI, getting everything ready for the hiflow turbo
  16. EL falcon for around $82 from Repco. Ive read numerous times that an O2sensor is good for only 40000kms, after that replace it. My Stagea had shitehouse fuel economy, had 80000kms on it when I got it, and got around 230kms per tank (65litres), now after having the O2 sensor replaced I get 430kms per tank (around 60 litres).
  17. You can keep the VR-4 wagons, pack em into ya pipe and smoke em. Not a fan. Sorry. Its a STAGEA alllllllllllllllll the way IMO.
  18. LOL spraying him would have been worth 1000 smackaroos! yeah, with my $4-$5 wash I use the wax, for sure! just depends how quick ya can do it (Stagea's arnt small! LOL)
  19. Ta - thats an excellent writeup. Im leaning this way for sure! Thanks mate
  20. To Satanic & 666 Dan - what made you fellas choose this turbo over say a ball-bearing hiflow? I would have thought that the 2 of you were quite particular about what goes on to your car, ie quality mods etc. In my case, I try to minimise the $$ I spend, but yet want quality. Im sort of thinking this 'seems' to be a quality piece of kit and flow a lot of air. I also figure that I only drive around 7000kms a year in my Stagea, with say 1000kms of that 'on boost'. Therefore Im thinking the turbo wont have a hard life with me, and might therefore actually last for a fair time and therefore be a cost effective modification.... Just need to sell my bike first! Plus I must add that Aaron has been very upfront with the turbo information and therefore has nothing to hide, sounds good Slide!
  21. Had no idea Dennis, my sympathy goes out to you and your whole family/friends network. all the best with the future.
  22. Oxygen sensors only last for 40000kms - they need to e replaced. That'll gain you 100kms more! If you want better fuel economy after that, go the SAFC route.....
  23. I whack $4 into one of those washing-bay machines, and hi-pressure soap my car, throw some of that low-pressure conditioner on, then high-pressure rinse (all for $4, maybe $5 - best time is late on Friday nights as you seem to get an extra minute for $4!). Car is all clean, takes 6.30mins, perfect. If I do it by bucket at home, it costs more than $4 anyway (ie time taken = half hour, plus washnwax, etc). meh. Damn Glenelg council, what a biatch
