  1. for sure.... but I dont do wheelies. Im 2metres tall, so therefore 250's certainly are too small for me. with my highly mod'd 'Blade its all about throttle control - snap it and she'll rear up. I dont ride it like that; rather take it semi-nailed thru the sweepers
  2. awesome??? uumm, maybe with an overbored 400cc engine it it. but 250's are too limp imo. i ride this beast: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=96873 just had my 8th & 9th knee surgery, so I really should be giving riding away.
  3. fair call
  4. Im certain that with motorbike engines, a power run of 5 bikes of same model (argue say 5 x dec07 model 1998 918.5cc Fireblades) will show 5 different power figures. Say these 5 bikes have been auto run-in for an extra 800kms in the factory machinery, then serviced and dynoed. Youd have varients from 112rwhp up to 118rwhp and not one would be the same. One of these engines might read as high as say 120rwhp and therefore be a freak when compared to the 112rwhp engine. And all of this adds up when further tuning a bike engine. Stroke it to say 954cc, and again there would be a power difference between the 5 bikes, add full exhaust, air, flatslide carbs, ect etc etc. You can end up having 5 highly modified bikes, all same mods at same time with same conditions, but have 5 different end power ouputs. With above example, youd have varients of the 5 from 158rwhp up tp 175rwhp. BUT if these engines were all ported and polished and rebuilt at the same time by the same tuner Id suggest theyd come closer together with their power outputs, with a much lower % of power difference. Theyd all then be sitting between 175-180rwhp. I wonder is this the same with larger car engines? ie if the same process was used with 5 Skylines (like the above model) would there be a large varience in 'stock' power? Im sure it would be, surely there are tolerence levels built into the factory machinery. Id imagine up to a 8% power output difference with cars from the same factory. Or are my thoughts misguided?
  5. It shoves down your throat the relization that family is so important. Cherish your loved ones. My family all said to me they thank god that I had the dble knee surgery on Thursday and hence was simply impossible to join the cruise (wanted a mate to drive my car!), they all feared it would have been me and my3yr old son somehow involved. I feel guilty in a sense that I suggested that area for a nice enjoyable cruise but I wasnt there for support at a time of need. Im a good ear - if anyone feels they need to type down their thoughts on a pm to me go for it, its ok, Im good for support, and its a good way to exercise your demons. Just remember to walk away from this telling someone you love them. Im simply thankful that no more people were taken from their loved ones in the accident. Accidents do happen, in all aspects of life; all we can do is wish our best to those effected by the outcome. To the 3 injured victims and your families I wish you a speedy and full recovery; listen to your body and dont do to much too early, rest and recover. To the family of the deceased, my most sincere thoughts are with you, I gave my son an extra big hug for you. Brendan
  6. omg... first Ive heard of it. Im shocked. my thoughts are with those now in their time of need.
  7. GOOD God! Man, now I really reckon my bodgy home fmic install suddenly looks Extremely cheesy.
  8. Im in for $160. schweeeet PM me when ready for payment, etc.
  9. well done Proh-dls, credit to ya self pity my knees are banged up (can still barely walk after the dbl surgery) otherwise I would have loved to be there on the cruise. all the best, hope everyone has a fun/safe day out.
  10. Keep us notified, when you're ready hey! :sorcerer: and yes that sniper gun is pretty accurate. lol but Im too much of a Rambo-support freak, mow down 5 on the barrell roll and then yell out "get your ammo here, Ammo!"
  11. no, the 4 wheels go round, so thats enough info for me.
  12. Ummm, maybe a SITC might help? Have a look into it..... SK's thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...c=80642&hl=SITC I dont really know, but I use a Apexi Super-ITC, ie an Ignition Timing Converter. Mainly 'cause I run auto, but also it links well with the SAFCII, both being Apex etc. ~$220 USD on ebay, generally $300aus delivered, 2nd hand........ I managed to snare a new one there for $20 less, but around $300 is the go. Can adjust a fair bit of timing into 5 rpm spots, not saying it will help your particular timing issue but definately an excellent tuning tool (with my sitc/safc/ebc & mods I expect ~210Awkw with a 500hp turbo)
  13. Enter AMS................................ go Monkey go
  14. Nice work Well I can state that my wife prefers to drive "OUR" car rather then her own car (a Nubira, 3yrs old, under 12000kms LOL) - so yes our Statea takes price of place in our garage. Almost have to fight her for the keys; crazy!
  15. Do a search - there is a known place in Melbourne that do it (AVE?? or something similar, cant quite remeber)... they flow them to 500-550cc, for around $450-$500 I believe
  16. 30k for a RS260??? On roads, in good nick? I doubt it. Anyways, last year when I was looking the 260's were 45k.... plus they are manual. Ive got knee problems, and room issues, so no manual in a stagea for me. Plus I dont need twin turbos - my car is for the family. 200 to 220awkw is just fine for me, 30k is affordable, and Ive done the mods etc.
  17. They come as part of SK's suspension package - very worthwhile. Ive got em, as I love my pinapples. At the end of the day, either 2 things a) tyres (condition, ie green rubber, ie its gone off, or pressure is off, either too low or too high, I say too high) b) suspension Probably both of the above. Tyres have silica content, this aids grip, as you do more kms you wear your tyres more (and at 39psi you're wearing them out fast, as thats too high), and as you wear the tyres more you have less silica, which means less grip. Sort-of, generally speaking. Add in the greasy oil on the road from drizzle, and yes it gets sliperrrrrry Plus Id bet my left nut your shocks are weaping and are GONE.
  18. easy - 32psi for all 4 wheels.. mate, 39psi is crazy, thats too much
  19. happened on my zx7R, iced carbs.............. common problem with the late 90's ZXR's. Winters weekend day, cool air, long ride, loss of engine power, down a few cogs to slow it down, lock rear wheel (where was the slipper clutch in the 90's LOL), big slide, no power, BAM on it comes with compression, black snakey all down the road (oh and black undies too). Pull to side of road and let the carbs warm up again.
  20. Thats the riding I do...... maybe add a few more mph tho!! LOL
  21. Been looking at those gt30's from Rougepi for a while now (ie the last 2 pictured), would one of those be overkill for 220awkw on a auto 4wd RB25det? Cheeper to buy one of those than having a hiflow done with GT30-spec internals..... cheers discpotaot03, value your comments! (what sort of housings would be recommended, for a street-use only family wagon Stagea).... Sorry spooln, after ppls thoughts like you are (and Ive searched plenty, but more info the better IMO). Also, you should have said 299.5rwkw and you wouldnt have got flamed LOL Brendan
  22. you lucky lucky bastards spare a thought for me when ya'all havn fun, would youse?
  23. God Damn - Im so stoked that I havent had ANY troubles whatsoever with my Stagea (well, besides dills drilling into my wiring loom when the cdstacker was installed under the passeneger front seat). touch wood hey!
  24. SAME Very very happy, and only paid $185 for it brand new from a Ford dealer on ebay had it direct wired to the battery feed (new fuses and all - I can take out a fuse hidden near my battery and the car wont start as no power goes to the fuel pump) I made sure the Bosch 040 fuel pump was installed as low as possible inside the tank Top value, no way was I going to use a) Walbro or b) second hand GTR pump
