  1. sorry misread that part - my bad.
  2. no-one will be better off with the carbon tax. Utility rates will rise again (gas/electricity/water), as will your general goods we all buy day-in day-out. Its a SHAM and nothing less. An absolute disgraceful government to push this Carbon tax to go-ahead without the say of the people they govern for. If it went to the polls it'd be squashed flat. At least with the GST people power had a say in the matter.
  3. I run 324mm rotors with R32 calipers on my C34 series 1 stagea - got the rotors (350z) and dogbones from concept Z performance, to suit 300zxTT - http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=882&Car_Type=300&UID=20110905030601121.45.45.237 Also run 324mm rotors with wilwood calipers / dogbones on the R32 rb26 tracksedan.
  4. you can use simple Thinners to remove the paint marks, and a small amount of dry ice to pull out the small dent
  5. compression test time. could very well be broken ringland(s). currently rebuiding my engine after experiencing this
  6. that Type-3 VW is very nice; my 1st car was a type 3 and have always wanted a really clean example - sometime in the future perhaps. my other toy; hope to use it over the next few years. Rwd manual R32 sedan with 200km-old built Rb26dett used to ride this fully built 918 Fireblade but sold it when I had the kneecaps removed.
  7. ordered it today on Steam. My 5yr old loves Left4Dead so id imagine he'll enjoy this. 18+ pfffft. Zombies are all good, but hanging for BF3 personally
  8. "No, not santas' balls!" Lol sorry, South park is on.
  9. Yeah Webber & button looking good for a sprint to the finish (tyres)
  10. Shakes head @ Hamilton. Shunted himself out of the race. Webber had his usual shithouse start, but sitting 2nd behind the safety car the race could fold out well for him. Massive pass round the outside of Alonso, huge!
  11. My justjap 3" bellmouth dump-front pipe is going strong 5yrs down the track. Great value for money. As for short split dumps, I'm running Hks split dumps on the rb26 engine. Hasn't been tuned & driven in anger (yet) so I can't comment on pros/cons in this instance as yet.
  12. Nice write up; obviously an option. 8mm thick is a good choice, I cant see that altering shape (flex/cracking), looks like a great "set & forget" option.
  13. yeah my custom Rb25 highflow turbo, built by ATS Adelaide Turbo Services, utilises the AVO .73 rear housing matched to a stock V45 Nissan comp.housing (machined out) with gt3076iw ball bearing core. Rated to around 280rwkw at ~19psi, capable of 22-23psi, and made to look like the Stock Standard turbo. The AVO exh.housing works well for the application it is intended for. 250-280kw range, auto or manual, bolt-on option.
  14. all the best Chef. 3x stags and now a GTR whilst Ive still got my original stag (over 6yrs now) just paid for the engine rebuild; going to have to last me another good 6years +
  15. excellent video once again
  16. thats the one Ive bought for the R32-rb26, using VL turbo gearbox. might try to install it tomorrow - havent worked on the car for a month so probably time to give installation a go
  17. Im running Pirreli PZero 18" semislick tyres on my Stagea Best car tyre Ive ever sampled. Got them $150each from SAU trader TalebTyres; they sold a container load of old stock on ebay. Treadwear rating of 80 !! Super soft 'road' tyre, compared to KU36 semislick tyres that have treadwear rating of 180.
  18. HA!! you guys think YOU dont like being lied to....! How about this then; Surgeon - "I'll remove your kneecaps & you'll be fine." 4 years later; loss of job/house/marriage & throw in same-old chronic disabling pain for the fun of it. f**king KUNT of a surgeon. Pity I had no other option though, as the pain from bone on bone for 15yrs in both knees was pretty intense, so much so I just had to agree to removing the patellas & 'see what happens'. IN or OUT its the same deal. Just now Im disabled in my movement, etc. lol, rant over. Anyways, I bought a Walbro 'da-27' 305LPH fuel pump, installed externally (GTR intank pump feeds 5L surgetank, walbro then feeds 550cc injectors). From what I can tell its a bosch 044 copy and isnt walbro at all. Made by Driven2Automotive but marketed as Walbro. Ive been lied to!
  19. Ruby how is your wife after the accident? I hope she is ok - my thoughts go out to your family.
  20. moreso hopes for all home owners out there. In a months time I'll be in the rental game, for the 1st time since I was a teen & moved out of home aged 17. All comes down to 'subject to sale' though, ie purchaser of my home needs to sell their home. End of the day I HAVE to sell, due to a) monthly 'income' lower than repayment rate, and b) marriage breakdown leading to payout of assets.
  21. wow! aussie dollar has had 10c (vs USD) wiped off in a fortnight. Now below $1USD. I trust that is all thats needed for the Reserve bank to finally lower the default interest rate. Im wondering how many others are in similar situations to myself. Lose job (only wage in family) due to injury, relationship breakdown & subsequent split (due to health & finances), leads to default on mortgage repayments = forced sale of house. Anyways Im setting some goals to turn my situation around (eventually). Back to Uni next year for minimum 4 years to study Radiation Therapy, funds from the house sale will be only about 50k once Ive paid out 100k each to the bank/parents/ex-wife. That'll have to last me until Im qualified to be in the workforce as a Radiologist. As it is currently Im living below the poverty line so Ive only got myself to rely on to turn it all around.
  22. note to self: must get to WTAC 2012.
  23. Go the moped! 49Cc of goodness, lol. So you haven't got a bike license - best to not bite more than you can chew, ie you'll need a few years to upgrade from learner-type motorcycles to a balls out 1litre superbike. A huge learning curve in front of you. A 10-15k gtr would be looking for new suspension, turbos, rebuilt engine, fuel supply, cooling, etc. There's 15grand right there. R34 should be ok in terms of engine lifespan so you'd only need say an 8g budget for suspension, injectors, front brakes, nistune ecu, garret turbo & associated intake/exhaust for your 250kw goal. For your towing aim the ford would be first choice, r34 close second, with gtr last. If you go for the r32 gtr after doing it up I feel you'd get almost as much enjoyment driving it as you would riding... Is that what you want though? To choose your car over your bike? That's what you'd get with a built gtr. Whereas you'd appreciate a fast bike over a run of the mill ford... Decide what it is you're after.....
  24. nice result nonetheless. great to read the thread, one question went unanswered though......... Q: Link to VW beetle buildup thread, please??
  25. company called ASI (on eBay, Melbourne) sell dual core alloy radiators to suit your car for around $199. Seem to be decent quality too. I bought one for rb26 a year ago, no issues. Aldo might be a good idea to ring some wreckers for replacement bonnet, should be able to get a bonnet & radiator for $500....
