Go with Adtrans. Depot is just to the left, over the bridge, down at Wingfield. They are owned & run by Toll. I used them to get my Stagea from Qld to Sa.

Stagea Group Buy Whiteline & Bilstein
Tangles replied to Sydneykid's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Awesome, thanks heaps for that information. Im going to order a set of front and rear Bilstein shocks then, and the sub-frame alignment to finish it off. I shall send a PM to you when I order those products; got to chat to the wife first. Thanks very much for your continual advice to myself and other Stagea drivers, Im sure. Brendan -
Police Powers And Your Rights
Tangles replied to Johnny Cash's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Dont get too ahead of yourselves fellas (not meaning to be rude in any way shape or form)... Police have powers, and have the power to use them at their discretion. On the otherhand if you are constantly being harrassed make notes of times places etc etc and rightfully make complaints. But, you should always remember this awesome line from the movie Judge Dredd, muttered by Sty Stallone who played a futuristic Sherriff / Cop-Judge (Ive got it on a hardcore track; goes off!) Stagea Group Buy Whiteline & Bilstein
Tangles replied to Sydneykid's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Received my items today, with thanks to you Gary. I do however have a question regarding my next suspension purchase; I have no want or desire to 'lower' the car (hard enough getting into the car as it is being so tall and with bad knee pain). If I was to lower it at all, it'd be like by a bees-dick, maybe just to sit the nose of the car over my new R34 GTT 17inch mags (being fitted in a few days time with Hankook K104 235/45/17 tyres). Can the Bilstein shocks be used with the Standard stagea springs? Also, I gather then its a waste of money to buy a front and rear camber kit set if Im not going to be lowering the car? Ta, Brendan -
Im in the middle of getting a heap of Whiteline suspension goodies for my Stagea. Received today the front and rear fully adjustable 24mm thick swaybars, and the front castor kit. Im also going to order a sub-frame alignment kit and the full front and rear Bilstein shocks (using standard springs, with no camber change), probably after next fridays payday. Going to ask around places for how much for install (I could do the swaybars but probably not the rest). Anyone have any suggestions? My first point of call will be Pedders at Morphett vale (near my house) - has anyone got some suspension places they'd recommend to install some of these parts? Cheers in advance. Brendan

well Adam, if you need to use my AFM for a while longer, then thats no probs mate.....! start searching the for sale thread I reckon! or make me an offer for it - I guess I wont need it in the future! sent you a pm.
-
Good pricing....... I probably could have rung around more places and got them slowly down a bit, but how far do you go?! Im sure they will be worth every dollar..... I hope. Im thinking start off with 36psi in each tyre and see how they wear and handle. Never had 17inch mags before, cant wait to see how the GTT rims & 235wide K104 tyres look on the swett-as Stagea RB25det-smokin station wagon. Cheers to you all, go the Crows. Brendan

Cheers fellas (by the way Im in Adelaide, so Im not sure our Mitchem here near Unley is the place you mean Bass Junky). http://www.hankooktyre.com.au/v2/products/...ch=uhpt&id=1088 K104's for 235/45/17 stated as 97Y I already bargained the shop down a little in price; Im happy (sort-of) to fork out $800 for my first set of 17's provided they look phat on my porky-wagon, perform very well, good value for money, and last me a long time - I drive less than 8000kms per year. The tread pattern seems fairly aggressive to me, and they have had good reviews here on SAU........... but it comes down to psi also at the end of the day, so that they perform and last well. I will slowly be adding SK's suspension parts over time, although I wont be lowering the car via springs/shocks. At this stage adding swaybars & castor, and will add subframe alignment kit & camber when I can afford to. Cheers, Brendan

Are you replacing the AFM with an item you are supplying, or was the workshop going to supply the afm in that quoted price?
-
Oh? ok, I think the car is around 1650kgs standard. And I know that a Stagea driver in Melbourne is using these hankook 104 tyres on R34gtt rims at the moment and says they are fairly good. Plus the 104's are load rating 97Y I believe, whereas the basic tyres on my car atm are 92Y load rating, and it was given a road worthy certificate (in Qld when I bought the car) based on these current Nankang tyres. The K107's are 94Y rating... so what is best? low Y or high Y rating? from what I understand the higher the Y the bigger the load capacity per tyre, see http://www.michelin.com.au/tyres/tyreBasics_speedRating.asp At the end of the day the Stagea weighs in similar to a VS wagon, or a Magna wagon, so Im sure the 97 rating is aok. Plus from what Ive read they are worth the cash, so Im getting them anyways (plus my budget is a max of $200 per tyre, for 'performance' tyres). So..... what PSI should I have in the tyre? Cheers for your information - Brendan

Im getting 4 new K104's put onto my Stagea this weekend, $800 all up fitted balanced etc, for 235/45/17's onto my new R34 GTT rims - Im in SA by the way. How long (ie kms) would a set last for? My Stagea isnt a daily driver, and when driven is usually in high density areas..... ie city driving. The Stagea is a heavy car, around 1900kgs with me driving it and fully fuelled - so how much PSI should be in each tyre?
-
Looks like a nice turnout, plus was a fantastic day for it. Pity I pulled myself out; but couldnt see myself making the distance, unfortunately. =( After the Vt Harbor cruise, I pulled up real bad with my knee (again) for some unknown reason, now living on pretty full-on painkillers atm. I just hope after I have the next surgery I can still drive; it'll be the 7th op on my right knee (ie either take out the kneecap and f*k around some more, or just instruct the Dr to do a full knee joint replacement; he keeps saying Im too young but Im pulling my hair out atm). Anyone know where I can get the drivers seat rails legally extended backwards? Cheers, Brendan

For sale: 17inch 225wide tyres, used, available from Saturday. Will post pictures soon-ish. Tread left, hard to tell how much, around 5mm on all 4, but would get your money's worth. Tanabe R33 Gtr Shocks And Springs
Tangles replied to Tangles's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
OK; sorry. The items are USED, but in all round good condition. Apparently the shocks make the GTR sit at its lowest BUT still legal ride height, if you get what I mean? ie, they will lower the car from what Ive been told by the previous seller to me, but will maintain a legal ride height. So it'll look nice and sorted, plus is a good buy if you feel you need some shocks / lowered springs on your GTR. Brendan -
Willing to seperate.... I bought this complete set of R33 / R34 GTR Tanabe (KYB) shocks and springs for my Stagea - however I can only use the front suspension shocks, and Im looking at keeping them unless someone wants the complete set. I am willing to sell the springs only, or the springs only and the rear shocks, or the rear shocks only without springs, or for the front and rear complete shocks with springs, if you really want them. These are in excellent condition, and they have been sand-blasted and resprayed 'police friendly' satin black. The front and rear shocks are non-adjustable. Pricing: Springs only - $150 plus postage Rear shocks only, no springs - $100 plus postage Front shocks only, no springs - $150 plus postage (these can be used on my Stagea, so I dont mind keeping these, so would only be sold if other items above are sold) Complete set of front and rear Tanabe Suspension for a R33GTR - $250 plus postage - Bargain Buy. Photos to come.............. Cheers, Brendan

Exhaust Manifold Upgrade With Turbo Upgrade?
Tangles replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hi warren - turbo shipped out to you on Friday; expect it mid-week. Now, with the manifold, if going ebay probably best not to buy the new stainless steel ones, unless you are sure of the good quality in construction & benifits etc, so maybe go for a brand name unit 2ndhand direct from Japan...... best value for money, although shipping would cost around $100+ maybe. Would take time to track a brand name item down tho.... =( Brendan -
ebay for ~$20 USD delivered.....

Well, had one rim fixed at Ext(p)ensive wheel services last week.... it was fairly heavily damaged, was $200 for a full fix up job and repaint all over. Expensive, but looks brand new now. They quoted $165 to fix a slight scratch on one rim, what a joke...... I chatted to them about it & now $70 is the price..... wonder if thats because Adelaide Wheel & Rim services across the road are offering 1/2 price services at the moment?? Tangles

Im with you, I totally have seen the big picture, I understand what you are saying and the consequences.... but what if that gay couple are the best chance of a family that a adopted kiddie might have? ie money, resources, and the love to bring up the child as their own (as stated Im against IVF for gay couples, but ok for adoption). If more and more of this happened then maybe ppl's tolerences would grow and expand? Making it more bearable to the child in question.... but remeber that child would be Loved and thats one of the most important things in life. Now Im with you again with the adam eve & steve scenario; its not meant to be (ie reproduce and bring up your spawn and see you spawn reproduce as well - which in my eyes is what makes you SUCESSFUL in life, you probably know what I mean you've got kiddies too). I owned a deer farm down yankallilla; Ive seen what happens when too many male bucks congregate in the one enclosure. It aint pretty, but is a part of "life" - just they cant reproduce unless with a doe. Same with (most) of nature all over. What I have against family first party is the way they want to restirct freedoms, ie ppl's freedom to do certain things, such as a proposed curfew on young ppl I have read about (ie the liberty to be able to drive in the late hours of night), etc etc. Oh well, just my thoughts...... (proud daddy) Brendan

Family 1st is a Nazi party - if you support those dicks, well, thats your choice. Me, I put them dead last. Just another pauline hanson type party. I mean, it is everybodies right to have a family, just as it is everyones right to choose what sex of person they wish to love. Having said that tho, I dont agree with gay couples utilising IVF just 'cause they can afford it whilst sincere battlers out there cant. Adoption, yes I think thats fine - nothing wrong with a loving couple (whatever the sex) having a family they will love and die for. Me, well I couldnt really be stuffed today (whole family is very fluey) - so I voted U (go the "greens" but not the Greens). Brendan
