  1. Me? Im at 10psi at the moment.... Retuning the "project Stagea stealth wagon" (as my tuner calls it) on Tuesday at 10psi plus 1 power run at 12psi on my dual stage EBC. Yes, I know 12 is bad, but Ive got a spare turbo sitting at home ready to be hiflowed! Plus I think it should be aok if I ever want a 10sec burst at 12, although I doubt that would ever happen.... maybe I might just do 11psi as the 2nd setting, not sure just yet.
  2. Max AFM is either 5.16 or 5.06 volts (thats what my tuner tells me for the R33 series 2). Mine is at 4.95volts after tuning via SAFC, with 141kw at the 4wheels in my STAGEA. Thats right, following SK's footsteps. I think the SAFC is tuneable at 7 points in the rev zone, whilst the SITC is tuneable at 5 points in the rpm zone. My injectors were at 76% duty cycle. Ive gone the adjustable fuel pressure regulator path due to not wanting to put in larger injectors. I figured putting more pressure (up to 10psi more over standard; with high-pressure fuel lines ppls!!) would be a cheaper move than larger injectors. Thanks Paul & Ben for you comments. At the moment with my fmic install 2 weeks ago I reckon by feel Im in the rich / retard mode........ Hey rmahnovetsky, maybe you should get a SITC too! They are on ebay for around $200US but havent been made for a few years, so most are 2ndhand via Japan (I got one of the last ones brand new for $220).
  3. So (paulr33), would a Super Ignition Timing Converter piggyback computer help in this instance, with tuning the SAFC? I think they are +/- 20 degree ignition advance / retard. Cheers, Brendan
  4. So, this is VERY interesting.... Ive gone ahead and bought a 040 Bosch fuel pump, and am having high pressure fuel lines installed, along with an Apexi SITC (super ignition timing converter), along with a Nismo fuel pressure adjustable regulator, and along with a Z32 Air Flow Meter (I think thats all!!!). This is happening next Tuesday at Graham West Workshops in SA. Car already has an Apexi fmic, a Apexi SAFC, a full 3inch exhaust with hiflow cat, a K&N pod filter, yadayadayada.... So, having just read this thread, would it be more helpful then for the original poster to be using this tuned SITC piggyback computer? I was on the thinking that this would be a great thing to do before I hiflow the turbo next year. My car is an auto and I wont be installing a PFC. The SAFC stays along with the SITC. Any input or suggestions? Cheers (sorry to hijack thread, thought it might help both of us mate!). Brendan
  5. Chaser,,,,.... oooh nice! But then you cant use this forum! doh!
  6. Yah, I SMS'd the bloke (H***an), he tried calling me back but I was just TOO upset (ie fired up) to talk to him......... and that seems to be the end of it. Oh well, rebuild & hiflow time (next year, saving at the moment). =) I guess it is actually hard to tell what turbo is what, but a bit of research doesnt go astray before selling it to someone under the guise that its an X turbo but its actually a Y turbo. Brendan
  7. Dont understand why..... wrx hatch boot is TINY, thats why I didnt buy one. Plus Stageas rock, but we already knew that tho.
  8. Cant wait... really looking forward to the midnight cruise - it'll be the first the Stagea has been on. Note: Car is booked in for tuning next Tuesday, (A/F is way off after the fmic install), so at this stage I cant thrap it too much..... =(
  9. Yup, well, I bought a 'Neo' R34 turbo from a fella on these forums, it turned out it wasnt and is a S2 RB25 turbo (exactly what Ive already got). Paid $650 for the damn thing, asked for some money back, no responce. Maybe we should name names?
  10. funny shite! someone got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.....
  11. WTF? Mate, Ive tried E98 fuel once, with 50% BP 98, it felt different, but ok. I wouldnt use it all the time though, only if your down to the last drop (as I was when I used it) and need some fuel. To refer to posts as being bullshit is a tad extreme........
  12. Yeah, wasnt too sure if he was serious..... if he was Im sure he would have wanted to check one out b4hand. Brazen, you were up late last night, must have watched the soccer hey?
  13. Thanks guys, that'll help heaps. The car is off the the workshop next Tuesday for a heap of tuning parts, so I'll get them to check it out. Brendan
  14. Ive used 10% Ethanol blended fuel rated at 98ron, and it was SMOOTH-AS (it was say half a tank of E98 and half tank of BP 98) in my RB25det. But I wouldnt use E-blended fuel all that much, only in half tank lots every now and then. Brendan
  15. There is a set on ebay right now for $1500 for 5 rims with tyres. In Sydney.......
  16. Hiyas all! Hope your Stag's are all well... Query regarding the footbrake (handbrake) on my series 1 1997 Stagea.... On the RWC I received when I bought the car in Qld in July, it states that my handbrake 'pad' was only 26% there, ie is roughly 75% worn. Now, is there an actual brake pad as such for the footbrake, if so where is this 'pad', or is it like a Falcodore and cable operated? Regards, Brendan
  17. This is an exert from a recent email: The upgraded turbo that we build for the GTS-t runs a sleeve bearing not ball bearing. I much prefer to build them this way because it takes a lot of the harmonic frequencies out of the shaft and as long as you do regular oil changes they will last as long as a ball bearing unit. We use a stage 3 turbine wheel and a 400hp high flow compressor wheel. Both are Innovative units . Spool up is fantastic and they make 320-340hp at the wheels at 15 psi on most cars that have had them fitted. We modify your existing turbo and require this to be sent to us. Cost is $1400 including a new oil feed line and fittings. Regards Grant Bojanjac Per4manz Turbochargers
  18. ITEM IS SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bad luck fella's, too late! Brendan
  19. hhmm, whats a AAC valve?
  20. Its the centre console 'glovebox' that sits between the drivers seat and front passenger seat, just like in a Falcodore etc. Mine is upholstered on top for the armrest part, in a suede type fabric, colour grey from memory. Mine only opens as per Terminals post...... =( Brendan
  21. PM Sent.... 1. rare shroud is a R34 shroud, a series 1 Stagea shroud is a R33 unit, therefore the R34 shroud is around 23% larger. 2. sent you an offer. 3. nup, perfect clean condition. cheers for the questions AMS!
  22. What supporting mods do you run? It may need a quick dyno retune if you have an aftermarket air / fuel computer. I put a fmic on 2 weeks ago onto my Stagea, and it definately needs a retune of the SAFC.......
  23. Hiya guys.... I havent tried Counter Stirke: Source just yet, got the Steam engine exactly 5 weeks ago and have been solely playing Day of Defeat: Source, which is AWESOME. Im gonna add the [sAU] to my Sgt. Tangles character. I always use the middle machine gun (AK47) known as Support. getting quite aok at it as well. If you come across me say g'day, and I'll let you in on a secret, Sgt. Tangles has Attention Deficit Disorder and cant stay still, so you'll see me Running and not Camping. But I'll try CS Source next month when I have unlimited broadband and not capped at 500mb. Brendan
  24. Ok then, it feels to me like there is a little extra 'kick' there.... in fact Im sure there is. But at the same stage Im sure a fair bit more fuel is being thrown thru the system (around 20% more judging by my fuel guage). Getting retuned next week on the dyno, with more fuel & air mods......
  25. On ebay as well for the same price, with blue or red piping.
