Ready when you are! ;)

I installed my fmic with custom pipework 2 weeks ago, took me (very unexperienced) a total of around 10hours to get everything measured up and perfect. I bought the Apexi intercooler with same side return end tanks, off ebay. 2ndhand but top condition direct from Japan. I noticed more power, but the tune on my SAFC is now way off, as Im using a heap more fuel. Going in to the shop shortly for a full fuel system upgrade, and more tuning parts.

This is how Ive cleaned my 'coolers (a R34 GTT smic and now an Apexi fmic). Outside - can of degreaser, cloth with bucket of water. Degrease, leave it to sit for 5mins, then sponge off the degreaser with the clean water. As for the inside of the cooler, I read a post saying 50% Kerosene and 50% Metholated Spirits (i think a SK suggestion). I can assure you the 50/50 mix works wonders! Tape up one outlet hole, pour in the mixture (say 500ml a time, x 4), cover the other hole and shake like crazy. Should do it every 20000km say, as part of normal maintenance. You'll be shocked how dirty / bad the first 2 flushes are! By the 4th flush should be very clean inside. Brendan

186 is short-arse in my book! Look at a doorframe, and I fill it up....... Well done again on the purchase, the ownership list is growing ever larger. BW

Nice one For the V info, see the sticky thread Buyers Guide to get some further insight. Front tints? well, any front window tint is illegal and defectable, at least in SA and Id think other states as well, plus probably certain rules for this in Japan where the car was marketed. I believe the very rear (dark) windows contain the radio antenna, dont know about the rear passenger windows though, I thought it was all Seraphic glass and not actual 'tint'. Im sure others can step in here and relay some further information (correct me if Im wrong please ppl's). Well done, top price for a Stag - Brendan

I got an 'insurance approved' black-wired car alarm, brand Black Widow model 10000, cost $180 off ebay new. Does the job - the car is alarmed and aok under my insurance stipulations. btw, nothing wrong with the Hybrid ebc, although if I had my time again I would have got a $500 brand name item (and the big body batmbl cat not the small, and the split dump not the single, brand new fmic not 2ndhand, etc etc). But its all about $$ resources! ie best bang for buck........ Good luck with it all. Brendan

Sent you a PM, so please fill me in on the details, and I'll see if I can be awake! Brendan

Mine's in the locked garage everynight as well, with alarm. Oosh; I reckon I'll be heading out for this midnight cruise....... gotta make sure I dont dose up on the ol' bourbs too much though. Brendan

HAHAHA LOL - I made the spotted page! No worries, I hope the session was beneficial to you both with your upgrade to a 'family car' thoughts / decision. Edit: If anyone else is thinking of upgrading their 'Line due to growing family issues, and wants to look over a Stagea 5door 4wd turbo wagon, drop me a PM and we'll work something out. Brendan

15 Little Known Facts About Chuck Norris 1. Chuck Norris' tears cure cancer. Too bad he has never cried. 2. A man once asked Chuck Norris if his real name is "Charles". Chuck Norris did not respond, he simply stared at him until he exploded. 3. Rather than being birthed like a normal child, Chuck Norris instead decided to punch his way out of his mother's womb. Shortly thereafter he grew a beard. 4. Chuck Norris built a time machine and went back in time to stop the JFK assassination. As Oswald shot, Chuck met all three bullets with his beard, deflecting them. JFK's head exploded out of sheer amazement. 5. The original theme song to the Transformers was actually "Chuck Norris--more than meets the eye, Chuck Norris--robot in disguise," and starred Chuck Norris as a Texas Ranger who defended the earth from drug-dealing Decepticons and could turn into a pick-up. This was far too much awesome for a single show, however, so it was divided. 6. Chuck Norris was the fourth Wiseman. He brought baby Jesus the gift of "beard". Jesus wore it proudly to his dying day. The other Wisemen, jealous of Jesus' obvious gift favoritism, used their combined influence to have Chuck omitted from the Bible. Shortly after all three died of roundhouse kick related deaths. 7. Chuck Norris once shot a German plane down with his finger, by yelling, "Bang!" 8. When Chuck Norris plays Oregon Trail his family does not die from cholera or dysentery, but rather roundhouse kicks to the face. He also requires no wagon, since he carries the oxen, axels, and buffalo meat on his back. He always makes it to Oregon before you. 9. Chuck Norris can make a woman climax by simply pointing at her and saying "booya". 10. Before each filming of Walker: Texas Ranger, Chuck Norris is injected with five times the lethal dose of elephant tranquilizer. This is, of course, to limit his strength and mobility, in an attempt to lower the fatality rate of the actors he fights. 11. Chuck Norris does not sleep. He waits. 12. When Chuck Norris's wife burned the the sphincter of the universe one Thanksgiving, Chuck said, "Don't worry about it honey," and went into his backyard. He came back five minutes later with a live the sphincter of the universe, ate it whole, and when he threw it up a few seconds later it was fully cooked and came with cranberry sauce. When his wife asked him how he had done it, he gave her a roundhouse kick to the face and said, "Never question Chuck Norris." 13. Chuck Norris took my virginity, and he will sure as hell take yours. If you're thinking to yourself, "That's impossible, I already lost my virginity.", then you are dead wrong. 14. Chuck Norris is currently suing NBC, claiming Law and Order are trademarked names for his left and right legs. 15. Chuck Norris once tried to sue Burger King after they refused to put razor wire in his Whopper Jr., insisting that that actually is "his" way.

Tangles replied to Tangles's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
still for sale.... surprised it hasnt been snapped up as yet. 23% more flow than a R33 intercooler...... great upgrade. -
Updating. Will repost in a few months time in the dynographs section. Now the Apexi intercooler is on, I'll be going back to Graham West Workshops in around 2 weeks time for the installation of the following: Bosch 040 fuel pump, sitting low in the tankm with direct feed to battery wiring @ 13.8v high pressure fuel lines, as per SK's suggestions Nismo adjustable fuel pressure regulator Apexi Super Ignition Timing Converter Nissan Z32 air flow meter plus a retune of the Apexi SAFC at 10psi, with dual stage boost set up to 12psi for those 'quick sprints' Saving up for the hiflow of my spare SII R33 turbo in 12months time - it was meant to be a R34 Neo unit, but it isnt... =( Anyways, Im expecting mid 150's at the 4wheels at 10psi, and hopefully goes up a bit at 12psi. Well, today's the 11/11 so its my b'day, so I took yesterday and today off. yay to me...... Anyways, was able to spend another hour on it yesterday redoing all the silicone tube fittings. I used the brand 'ThermalFlex' which is very thick blue 4ply silicone tube. Great stuff. Thanks to nottieboy & justjap on ebay for helping me out with tubes and 'Tbolt' clamps. My clamps & silicone tube that was with the pipe kit (colour red) were absolute crap, pipework popped off 3 times. Now its totally redone and WONT be popping off. Moral of the story - use good clamps! Brendan

GhostRider 4 - relase date unknown..... Hhhhhm, nasty stuff. I once tried some of his highspeed antics on my Fireblade, almost clipped a tray top at 200+ whilst 'undertaking' and decided that it wasnt for me! As for my post b4, out of 1million residents in Adelaide, 2 out of less than 10 Stageas in Adelaide live within 100metres of each other. Now THATS wierd. Brendan
-
Great buy - well done. Damn, Im now wishing I bought the grey 1999 model with gold 18in rims, for 26k, that I was seriously considering (tiptronic Neo - cant drive manuals, Im way too tall). But then again, my 1997 model was under 18k, so thats given me the opportunity to go sick & MODIFY it!!! Brendan

GHOSTRIDER 1, 2 OR 3? Now guys, if you havent seen it, thats some awesome viewing! Volvo's have no chance, as proven by an insane maniac on a GSX1000R! Spotted; 100metres from my garage with my stagea parked in it, a silver Stagea with personalised plates. Out of the less-than-a-dozen Stageas that live in Adelaide, 2 live within 100m from each other!! Now THATS small town syndrom at its best! Brendan

Buyer's Guide - The Nissan C34 Stagea
Tangles replied to GoldZilla's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Goldzilla, great thread.... as for speakers; ditch 'em. The Clarion stock speakers are 15w and pretty 'bad'. With me stereo install Ive put in 4 door speakers, amp & sub, and disconnected the A-pillar tweaters. MUCH better.... Brendan -

R34 Gtt Intercooler
Tangles replied to Tangles's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
It fits a R33 & R34 definately...... & thanx to J_R32 for the infoon the R32 fitment. I bought it only 3 months ago here on the forums and had it on my Stagea, but found a Apexi fmic on ebay for a price I couldnt refuse, so hence the resale of this R34 intercooler. Brendan -

Tangles replied to thirtythree-II's topic in South Australia
Not too true. I'll 'speed' without (too much) fear on my bike, but I am more worried that one day they'll take a peak under the tank...... the day that happens is the day it'll never get back on the road =( sorry, point is that they can easily pull you over and start checking under the bonnet etc. Brendan -

Thats our common bike riding route.... be sensible and there wont be too many problems with The Force. But having said that, its easier for them to defect a car than a bike. Brendan -
OK, suggestions.... Boost controller? Im using a 'Hybrid' brand dual stage electronic boost controller, excellent unit for the $$, bought from www.flynnperformance.com.au, or can be found on ebay for around $300. Cat Coverter? try BATMBL here on the forums, or again ebay for a stainless steel hiflow 3inch unit for around $200. Mechanicl? depends where you are. Graham West Workshops on Marion rd rocks! Brendan
