Very intresting indeed. Does anyone know the effect of using 10% Ethanol 98 Ron fuel in turbocharged 'high performance' motors over a long period of time? Edit: Vortex in Sth Aus is 95 ron, and Optimax doesnt exist (as far as I am aware) - premium fuels like Caltex, Liberty, Woolworths, and Shell are all 95-96ron here in Adelaide. Brendan

Thanks ppls, and to Cubes for the 50mm measurment. I havent got one of those measurers, but to my eye it looks exactly 50mm.....

Repco sell the DBA4909 slotted rotors for $217 each. They also sell the Bendix Premium 1398BP front pads for $125 plus shipping from QLD.

Well done guys, you're all legends. This is the kind of thing that makes this forum work for everyone. Hopefully everyone with Stageas can print the translation out and keep it with your manuals etc. Cheers again to you all. Brendan

Well done Goldzilla, sweet-as. Good luck Terminal, saving for the 260RS..! Im happy with my auto, got a Neo turbo ready to go on, along with some other goodies. Only looking for under 200 4wkw so it'll do me!

Yup, I read that post that you refer to during my searching travels on this forum for leads as to how to fix my 4wd & Abs problem. At this stage working on the engine bay fuse box, and a green 30amp fuse that is constantly blowing. By the way, I think the fuse in the dash area, that is a red 10amp, very top left hand corner right next to the tweesers in my original photo, is an ABS fuse......
-
OK, see Stagea Fuses and Fuse Box for pics of the fuses and the list. As an update, I bought a Narva Auto Fuse, P/No. 53530BL Fusible Link, mini female plug 30Amp with Lock, 32V. Costs $8.10 at Repco, or $25 at Nissan!! This fuse is the green one that you'll find throught your fuse box in the engine bay - in particular the ABS section. Dont confuse this with the under dash fuse box..... One of my ABS 30amp fuse has blown, so I replaced it, started the car, took it out for 200metres, and the fuse had blown again. So, Id suggest its a dodgy wiring job from the stereo installers. Ive sent the car back to them with a 'fix it' note, to get it right. Id suggest they've crossed some wires and hence the system is overloading one particluar ABS 30amp fuse. I'll keep you updated.......

You guys are legends!!! I went thru the fuses last night (had to get down on my knees, albeit whats left of them, which is a very painful thing for me to do), and found that these fuses under the dash are all ok - as far as my eyes could tell.
-
Thanks Mr-T. Cheers to you.

Thats the thing - mine aint there!! My box has always been 'blank' since I got the car. Now Ive got my EBC in there - but my coin box is very easy to get out, just pull up with some force and it comes out of its slot aok. I know thats the place for them - so ppls, if you've still got the fuse description in your coin box, can you take a photo and post it up please? Cheers to you all in advance - and remeber, this is for the betterment of all Stagea owners, being the legends that we are..... (add big backslap etc)
-
Please submit a picture of your fuse list (from fuse box next to drivers right knee). The engine bay fuse box should be self explanatory, as the fuse description and outlay is on top of the fuse cover. If this is not the case on your Stagea I'll take a photo and post it up. However, some Stageas do not have a fuse description list for the fuses under the dash - so if you've got the list, please add photos, and or an explanation for what fuse controls what functions!! Just trying to help others out (and myself - need to determine which fuses under the dash do what)....... Brendan

Nah ya cant - can you get to the seats via the bonnet or boot? Not unless you're a midget!!

The advice I have received from Sydneykid suggests that whilst putting in a fuel pressure regulator (Im going Nismo, non-rising rate) you should also beef up the fuel lines with high pressure lines. Ive got a Z32AFM, as my stock afm on the Stagea is reading 4.95v, at only 141 4wheel kws. Injectors are at 76%, so upping the fuel pressure, lines and pump in lieu of the larger injectors.....
-
Id suggest my Stagea might be specified as a 5door. Damn, I miss out!! hahaha

Please see my first post and those pretty pictures...... Guys - looking for a Fuse List for these fuses behind the coin box (in the dash, near drivers right knee). Anyone? Can someone please post up the Fuse List under a new thread (such as Stagea Fuse List details) to help others out in the future. Photo, PDF, scanned image..... has anyone got a list of these fuses? Still trying to fix the abs and 4wd problem. Car wont be driven until its all sorted. BUT, I dont have a fuse list that I can find. Cheers in advance - Brendan

Weird 'pulsing' then 4WD warning light
Tangles replied to tigerleo62's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
TigerLeo62 - where was this 10amp fuse located? Ive got a similar problem (4wd and Abs not working), and dont have a list of fuses that sit under the dash....... Cheers - Brendan -
Can someone post up the Listing of Fuses that sit behind the coin box next to the drivers right knee? I cant find a list for the whole gob-load of fuses anywhere....

GCG hiflow costs $2k with $10 change. Takes around a week to rebuild. R34 GTT Neo turbos cost under $600 2ndhand, depending on condition.

Need Help Ppl, Has Any Used Prestigemotorsport?
Tangles replied to shorty_01's topic in South Australia
When buying a car thats already been imported to Aust, demand to see the compliance / auction paperwork, as the kms are shown there. From that original km reading, you can tell by the wear on the interior (gearknob, steering wheel, carpets, seat, etc) if that kms reading was genuine or not. Beware of buying a fully modified car from interstate, may need to take back to near-standard to get the SA plates. May not either, but keep that in mind. From what Ive heard both JSpec and Prestige are good operators. -
Yeah, Im gathering that the ECU on the Stagea (early series 1 at least) is not the same at all as the ECU on a series 2 R33 GTSt. Well, mine is definately different! The stereo installers didnt disconnect the battery (they told me so), so Id suggest when they've hooked up a component to the battery (the 'glow' tube), they've shorted out some fuses. Have to replace the abs fuses, and test the 4wd fuse, and go from there. Glad to have found a 'fault' as such!

Alarms And Immobilisers Questions...
Tangles replied to GoldZilla's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Ive got a Black Widow 10000 'insurance approved' black wired car alarm. Cost $160 off ebay, and $100 installation. Car hasnt been stolen yet, so its doing its job! -
hahahahaha What a loser I am! In all this excitment I didnt check the basics: Blown fuses in the abs section in the engine bay fuse box, and I also want to pass a voltemeter over the 4wd black box fuse to make sure that is aok. Also, word of note, my Stagea ECU does not have LED's or the little screw that you can turn and read the error codes. It just aint there!
-
Hi guys, Im desperate for suggestions. Here is the scenario: dropped off car Friday morning for the stereo install, was running perfectly, no error codes whatsoever. Picked it up Friday night and the ABS & 4WD lights came on after 30secs of driving. I discharged the battery (reset ECU), error codes still on the car. I rang the radio place, they said its all good: power supply and ground is as per beforehand with the old standard stereo, so total denial there. Told me if its there problem they'll pay for it under warranty, but got to have a mechanic fix it first. So thats a dead end - now Im heaps worried about the 4wd system - should the car be driven or not????? Tonight I'll have to pull out the ECU and check what error code flashes are coming up and go from there - Ive printed out a couple of pages of error code info. But, any other suggestions on how this could have happened? Any suggestions on how to get the 4wd system working again? Im damn scared that I might damage the cars 4wd system, Ive already done 90kms since picking it up (50 of those getting the side skirts quotation for various stagea owners). Someone, anyone? EDIT: in times of need ask for help, so thats what Im doing! Thanks in advance!!!!

JMAC - that turbo youve got there - definately off the R34 GTT? Thats what mine looks like. Ive got to measure it up tonight. Boy this is hard to determine! (without taking the current turbo in the engine off!)

OK, thanks for the tip. Im just hoping, for the cash Ive paid, that it indeed IS the R34 Neo.
