  1. cost around $4 each from nissan. Your local nissan dealer should be able to help you with one-off. I ordered a complete set off ebay (UK) to suit my C34 series-1, got longer studs (50mm vs 35mm standard)
  2. smokey said it all. your description sounds like pinging get octane boost in (Id use say a 10% mix of eflex fuel, say 6-litres of E85 eflex from caltex) with fresh 60L of 98ron premium unleaded. run through full tank then do it again. if you use the E85 as octane boost (ie a 10% mix) then once second tank is run through replace the fuel filter. then see how it is with a full tank of 98Pulp on full boost.
  3. Multichecker will eventually go into my daily Stagea, decided its not required alongside a power-fc; sitting on a shelf along with exhaust manifold to go onto my rb25
  4. be about $1500 for bore and hone, prep work etc, with 87mm CP pistons fitted to stock rods. Using arp bearings/bolts end of the day the engine will be a keeper,
  5. As it turns out #4 bore has eaten something solid.... Id bet ceramic parts from the turbos, the car came with 1week old rebuilt turbos when I bought it. Never did a compression/leakdown test so its my bad. Going with 1mm overbore 87mm CP pistons to stock rods, #4 requires a sleeve I think.
  6. Im sorry but I wont be able to helpout in this instance. Open inspection teed up for the weekend prior and potentially your wedding weekend. sorry rubes
  7. $1250 for a bush bearing highflow is more like it - thats the mark i bought my original journal bearing highflow - the Sliding Performance rb highflow - for $600 no way Id pay triple that amount for a vq bush bearing highflow
  8. bought $1800 of gear from that ebay seller (r32 sedan roll cage, bride brix, rb26 cams, etc), very helpful bloke
  9. $1950 for a bush bearing turbo is far too much to pay IMO. slash $500 off that price for journal bearing; $2k is roughly ball-bearing pricing
  10. regarding laptop - decided I'll be looking for a Toshiba Qosmio with gtx460 $1650 with 4gb ram 500gb HD, $1800 with 6gb ram 1tb HD, probably go for the cheaper option
  11. having bearings, belts etc being replaced on the rb26 atm - track duties 3x per year only but no point playing Russian roulette then again, also replacing rod bearings at same time, crankshaft being machined, oil return system, etc
  12. I bought this kit for a couple hundred dollars. Some fella bought then onsold without installing it http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AIR-INTAKE-SYKLINE-RB26DETT-RB26-R33-R34-BNR33-BNR34-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem5d2d74063dQQitemZ400194537021QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories having the rb26 engine done up atm by my tuner, installing this kit ^ wont know how it goes until April...
  13. Looking for a laptop, no more than $1500, that is larger than 16" HD screen, has i7 quad core, 8gb ram, backlit keyboard, blueray dvd drive, with gaming-spec video card. Any suggestions? Wanting for University and as a spare pc for one of the kids to use on weekends while the other is on the desktop. They play the left4dead series together (probably not right for a 5yr&7yr old but they love me for it)!
  14. and while they are in jail will get mates to ring you up and harass the F&%&% out of you. oh sorry thats just dudes who carjack monaro's with shotguns........ or is it?
  15. Have to get back to you on that... a lot on my plate at the moment, did you get my PM regarding sau:sa stickers, hat & membership card?
  16. phew ..... lucky outcome actually. Surprised valves didnt smash themselves to pieces. glad you got out of it in the end. Question : how many kms has the car done? was the stuffed belt in bad/worn condition or was it the bearings fault?
  17. G-sensor Im sure Can you move it back and down out the way?
  18. I could push to 270kw at the wheels with larger injectors (currently only 450cc s15 silvia), front facing plenum with larger throttle body, and of course redyno tune. Im with darrin, you get used to 250rkw but it's still plenty of power. Smokes most cars once it pulls on boost, and once I hit the hills it's as quick as you want it to be (ex- adelaide hills sportsbike rider). As it is I could make it 'quicker' for the same current tune/setup by installing a better autotrans torque converter; would reduce the lag upon takeoff, currently still stock trans just a MV Auto shift kit. Im thinking the GTX3071 would be the cup of tea................
  19. Going to try to get my dad to come out and spectate. Might pay for a cams license for him to have a session as a driver in my place..... if he does come out and if the execs don't mind. otherwise I'll be looking to get in as many laps as possible.
  20. sounds like you want the GTX 3076r. the tuner is wrong IMO, the gt3076r is a fun turbo to drive with....but then again Ive got cams so they would help bring the turbo on a bit around 1800-2200 rpm you're off boost and cruising economically, 2800rpm the turbo would be at 5psi, 3500rpm around 12psi, 3800rpm its near 15psi, 4000rpm at 16psi my max setting in my profec B spec-ii EBC all the way for as long as you keep the right foot pressed down. Im only using S15 450cc injectors, a toshi remap (for stock injectors) and an AEM fic-8 piggyback (like emanage ultimate) for a max of 240awkw/250rwkw at 1.1bar with larger injectors, say 600cc, I could retune for near same economy but gain 10% more power. with the auto and awd Id say this turbo is maxed at around 270awkw at 19-21psi. with manual and rwd 300rwkw could be seen for sure. Exhaust housing options would make a difference with 'lag'. A .63AR would have no lag but would max at 250kw, my .73ar exh.housing would be good for 270kw, a .86ar housing good for near 290kw, and the 1.06 would be laggy but reach past 300kw. Im using the AVO 'skyline' 6-bolt housing for a true bolton option although I understand now there are other options if you're willing to modify how your dump-pipe bolts up. ie 4-bolt housings, clamps, etc.
  21. new larger injectors otherwise you'll be stuck at around 220awkw withmaxed stock injectors (and adjustable nismo fuel pressure regulator) z32 air flow metre Go for the garret internal wastegate dual ball-bearing GT3076r or the newer GTX3076r if budget allows. lag really isnt an issue, tuner is spilling crap. by the time the 'other' car has clutched 1st to 2nd my C34 slams on boost and goes. goodbye. ....... but it IS different to the stock zippy turbo my 3076 is a bitsa - stock nissan 45v4 compressor housing bored out to maximum, gt3076r IW BB core CHRA# 700177-5015, with .73 a/r AVO skyline rear exhaust housing. had it made up at Adelaide Turbo Services for a little over 2grand with all parts, bolted it on myself. then retune the Nisstune to suit the larger turbo and injectors/afm
  22. Cheers for the tow mate!! props to you.

  23. for sale: r32 front stock discs - $10 r32 front slotted discs - $10 r32 grey rear wing - $5 stagea front & rear stock swaybars - $20 stagea front stock camber arms - $20 throwing the r32 stuff away mid-week if not taken..............
  24. been painting the house, cleaning up around the yard getting things done (spa fence, etc), getting stuck into my knee hydrotherapy program, and generally getting the place ready for sale. earlier today, in between clearing out house junk, tried to clear up some enrollment issues for Unisa bach. health science, and found Ive been offered a position in bachelor medical radiation sciences - radiation therapy, my preferred choice. Absolutely stoked!
