  2. nice. ages ago I picked up a set of Panoz racing (purple) 4-piston billet aluminium calipers, with new wilwood racing pads. they were made by Outlaw, the 4000 series, specifically for panoz racing. huge. http://www.outlawbrakes.com/4000.html got to sell them as Im using gtr calipers instead

  4. Hi all. I am stuck. My apexi Power-fc cant save any changes as the wiring powers off at IGN instead of ACC. ie key in, turn to ACC, power FC should be on but isnt however turbo timer is etc, turn to IGN power fc comes on as does pump, etc. but this is wrong as it cant save during power loss (needs a sec accoring to the apexfc.faq by paulr33) there is a fix, and this is a common issue where an engine conversion has been performed. the car in question is a R32 GTs-T sedan, with RB26 engine/loom, with power-fc computer to run 550cc injectors the fix is this: Im not good with wires etc, so I ask can someone competent with wiring (ie can-do!) come down to states/wheatsheaf rd Morphett Vale and perform the above wiring modification? $100? more? to supply/wire 12v+/30a as per pic? as is cant move the car until I make the wiring change. just that Im not confident with wiring jobs cheers. brendan 0427 803 556

  8. stagea calipers are 2-pot single sided - 2 piston only r32 gtst are 2-pot double sided - 4 piston, physically larger than stagea calipers r32 gtr are 2-pot double sided - 4 piston but larger again the rotors I have are all 296mm dia, slotted. 1 set on r32 (new old stock, had for yrs), 1 set on stagea (need facing after last Oct trackday), plus the dba' set I got with the gtr calipers are brand new and awesome-looking im leaning towards putting them on the stagea, and in 4yrs time part out the r32 track car (after say a dozen mallala outings, fingers crossed) and drop the rb26 into the stagea as well, seeing I'll have everything here for the conversion. thems the plans anyways. or should the gtr brakes and calipers be used that dozen times at the track and then go into the stagea at the time the engine drops in...... hmmmm
  9. yeh the qfm a1rm pads $238 delivered for f/r axles. r32 gts-t. brand new with KU36 tyres, havent seen 1m of travel yet. today picked up set of r32 gtr calipers, rebuilt, pads, and brand new dba slotted rotors (rrp 240ea) - ebay goodness for the stagea. but thinking of the choices - help me out please: ** perhaps r32 gtst calipers, new a1rm pads and new dba slotted rotors go on stagea and ** r32 gtr calipers with some extra a1rm pads go onto the track car with rb26dett engine, could then 1day do rego approval (matching brakes to engine conversion) or, leave r32 track car as is with stock calipers, front slotted rotors & braided lines, a1rm 750degree pads and put the gtr stuff on the stagea. thoughts? as is stag sees Hills roads, gtst will see track only 4x per year and 0 road kms.
  10. what a nasty story. grrrr makes me a sad-panda. brakes & cv joint should have been up to scratch adr approved new tyres should have been fitted turbo - nasty. Im wondering when the last oil change actually was, in fact the compliance process itself seems half-arsed
  11. yeh, best bet would be grabbing a rb26 rwd sump setup. my yet-to-be-trecked track car is rb26 rwd, in around 3yrs time I plan to put the engine in the awd stagea using the current rb25 awd sump setup. so will have a rb26dett rwd sump setup for sale. probably in 1300 days time, lol

  15. yes mate I hear you, decided to bite my tongue tho. the statement dohmar made might sound good but in fact doesnt help anyone 66% of my life spent in "pain", I can assure you it is very real. Constant never ending pain over the years becomes unbearable, but you have to take it all morphine/pain-killers do is raise your perceived pain threshold a little. thankfully my threshold is high, but its never ending mindnumbing - its just 'there'

  17. you can get a whole lot of new bushes as a kit on ebay for ~$700 includes Control Arm Lower - Inner Bush, Control Arm Upper - Inner / Outer Bush Steering Rack Mount Bush - Power Steering, Strut Bar To Chassis Mount Control Arm Lower - Inner Bush, andX 2 Control Arm Rear - Lower - Toe Adj Arm have you upgraded the swaybars at all? best bang for buck $500 front/rear swaybars, whiteline nistune would be a great option too, however Id suggest brakes & suspension first. + slotted front rotors dba 4000 series - $400 ebay + braided front & rear brake line kit - $270 ebay, adr approved + master cylinder stopper - $70 ebay + qfm a1rm brake pads front rear - $240 sau + whiteline swaybars - around $250 each for front & rear a good service,tune is paramount for a trackday too!
