-

-
ah welll.... need to sell PM me to arrange a 24hr test drive day. adelaide.
-
hey mate, Id suggest a cple of things. - tomei poncams, 'cause I love em so much. Would enable you to drive around off boost more. a tad extreme. - more likely tho is to have a thick metal intake pipe, like manifold-thickness, leading from a cai/pod/z32afm into the turbo intake. nice and thick. - try using stock airbox with highflow panel filter in lieu of pod, with thick metal intake pipe. might be quieter than your pod. I get plenty of whoosh but no whistle.
-
great to see you back !! wooot
-
me, rhys? meh no not really - more so @ family/friends who didnt raise an eyebrow or lend a word of advice got nothing to do with me, as for not taking it further, bwahaha mate if it "was me" in that position the mechanic would struggle to walk f**k me over and I break your kneecaps; f**k up your life. hence Ive never been f**ked over, ppl sort of realise that.
-
yeah all Id like to do at this stage is plug my laptop/consult into some skylines that run a Remapped ECU & download a 5min copy of the tune no biggie tho, not ready to do anything with it at this stage (funds....)
-
mate you are the one who offered the story - no Ive never walked up to someone and enquired how they "afforded" that.... sucks to be you. Ive had the passion bud and my stag / zx9r proves I still do. oh, also have my house all paid for outa my hardearned, doing it Tough every single hour. 1996 zx7r, 1998 zx9r, highly worked 1998 cbr900rr, 2001 zx-9r mod'd 1970 vw type 3 wagon, 1977 celica 1600, 1980 escort, 1992 EB wagon, 1995 VR BT-1 V8 mod'd, 1995 pulsar, 2003 daewoo, 2002 escape, 1997 stagea highly mod'd mate, Im simply disappointed for you seeing Ive had the opposite experience. if the morphine and other meds make my morning viewpoint come across as harsh, well, soz but thats how it is. really pissed that not ONE of your family or mates came up with a different option; woulda saved you a penny or two and being taken for half-a-ride
-
every one is saying that viewpoint it correct. utter BS "big here here to presumptions....." what presumptions?? more like presumptions that some one "wise" would step in and offer some guidence in the matter Im shocked that while plenty ppl, such as friends/family & fellow enthusiests, knew you were outlaying big money for a car project no-one stood by and wisely pointed out things from a different perspective. meh a fool and his money is soon parted
-
how did you have access to so much money at such an age - without any restrictions, or double checks, or family / mates advice (ie like nah dont spend 40k on a engine build) ? that kinda cash at the time would have been much better off on some land / house + R32 GTr...... Ive had the flipside experience - build up of a cbr900rr fireblade at low cash price in a backyard garage. minimal money well spent BUT - since 18 Ive been paying my home, choosing wisely - so maybe perhaps Im more frugal when investing? not as care-free seeing funds wernt available? obviously you've learned numerous lessons, albeit the hard way. you chose the blue pill. obviously the red pill would have been a better choice. next time ey

Update: Available to consult your ecu, diagnose errors, reset, chart / log info data, save rom tune, etc Have full version Nissan Data Scan v1.53, and a decent dell laptop to diagnose your Nissan vehicle. soon will have wideband analyser & a ecu rom emulator, with model specific (stagea or skyline) ecu chips. I will be able to supply a base-map ecu rom chip that you solder in then check on dyno. to do this tho I'll need to access a number of remaped ecu's such as my own. not for another 12 months, but all in good time. so here's to self learning use my wcgn34 stagea as a mule to learn, and grab some base maps from r32, r33, & r34 (2.0L, 2.5L & 2.6L) if you've got a remapped ecu id be interested in catching up one day and copying your rom hex data via my consult nissan datascan setup chuck me a PM if you can help out. cheers Tangles

Ive got the new sandwich plate setup ready to go. its a plate that feeds oil in/out, has oil filter on it, and oil temp and oil pressure guage fittings. so I bought a single-din 3-guage panel with oil temperature, oil pressure, and boost. will fit this up as a secondary oil filter near the turbo, and run the wiring/piping thru the firewall to the DIN panel but, got to save up as same time will replace the heater core. so, next job for the tuners: * install heater core * install DIN-panel guage setup for boost, oil temp & oil pressure * install secondary oil filter sandwich plate at turbo-to-block point * install 4-pot piston caliper Panoz billett aluminium front brakes * slot in Willwood racing pads * wire up AEM F-IC/8 piggyback ecu to control air:fuel ratio, ignition timing & injector duty * install 6x S15 450cc injectors * tune for 260rwkw via $100 Dell latitude 640 laptop, running full Nissan Consult & AEM F/IC programme * 1071 tunable points.... wow
