Hi I am buying a AEM F/IC-8, new but ebay 2ndhand, for $350USD delivered. Usually around $750USD delivered. http://www.aempower.com/ViewCategory.aspx?CategoryID=116 FEATURES Injector Channels Advanced Injector Load Simulation & Filtering Timing Channels (Cam + Crank) 5 High/Low Voltage Selectable MAG-Driver Outputs TPS Input MAP Sensor (Onboard) MAP (0-5v Intercept) MAF (0-5v Intercept) Frequency Based Flow Meter Support * Speedometer Recalibrator * o2 Sensor Remapping External AFR Input Generic 0-5v Remappers 2 Boost Controller (Requires AEM 30-2400 Solenoid) IAT Logging Input PC Datalogging Internal Logging Memory 2 Mb VTEC Output/Control/+12V Switched Output http://tunertools.com/prodimages/AEM/manua...30-1910_FIC.pdf http://tunertools.com/prodimages/AEM/manua...for_30-1910.pdf It runs a map system for fuel:air, ignition timing, and injector duties. 21 x 17 maps, for these 3^, via laptop tuning. that should be an Excellent scope of tuning for an automatic RB25 to reach 265rwkw Query : Does anyone use the AEM F/IC? Or have they seen it being tuned? Looks pretty good, and should do the trick to run aftermarket bigger injectors (S15 JDM 450cc), as well as allow a much better 02:fuel / Ingn.Timing tune due to the map size, over a conventional piggyback setup such as SAFC + SITC By the way I have a Toshi tuned ROM ECU chip but cant afford a new chip tune, same price buys this AEM F/IC-8 so Im going this way. Anyone have any thoughts? OVERVIEW The F/IC gives users with OBD-II race vehicles and non-factory forced induction systems the ability to retard ignition and deliver accurate amounts of fuel without the need for outdated FMUs or “boost hiding” controllers. This system works parallel to the factory ECU preventing tuning limitations due to complex factory timing patterns. 21x17 maps with configurable load and RPM breakpoints are easily accessed with the F/IC's Windows-based tuning software. The F/IC draws power from PC USB interface for quick and easy calibration changes. PRECISE FUEL DELIVERY The F/IC intercepts the signal to the stock injectors, allowing the user to modify pulse-width by +/-100%. The F/IC is among the only piggy-back systems that can decrease injector pulse-width, allowing the user to drive larger aftermarket injectors* while still maintaining proper air / fuel ratios. This powerful system can also tap into the factory injector signal and work independently to drive up to six (6) additional injectors. TIMING RETARD CONTROL The F/IC can retard timing from the factory system based on engine RPM and load inputs. This is achieved by intercepting and delaying the outputs from the cam and crank position sensors to the engine- with no adverse affect on applications equipped with variable cam timing. SENSOR CALIBRATION & CONTROL The F/IC can also be used to recalibrate / clamp the MAF sensor, eliminating common problems with non-boosted factory MAFs. The on-board MAP sensor allows for proper fueling in boosted conditions. CAN-BUS SYSTEMS NOT AFFECTED Since the F/IC works in conjunction with the factory ECU, late model-vehicles equipped with a CAN-BUS system retain functionality of climate controls, dash and other components on the network.

tell me you wouldnt tap that

free car tho !!! not any old car - 320kw at the engine thanks very much and once the S15 injectors drop in, and tune the AEM F/IC-8, she'll have another 30kw at least ontop of that so, you get a hornbag dirty little girl who takes it all ways but the mouth (sorry lads, yeah bummer, tell me about it) so she's open 24/7 52 weeks of the year and the car goes just as hard
-
240rwkw must be around what 320kw flywheel? hehehe 260-265rwkw is gonna be pretty sweet - that'd be 350kw at the engine ey' woot

How To Tell When Rotors Are To Worn/stuffed?
Tangles replied to kidafa's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
yeah they arnt going anyway matey got them a year ago to machine down OD for the rears and make fit, but havent worried about it rears are stock discs with bendix pads and maltech braided lines these slotted near new rotors were taken off from a R33 front cut - it may have been GTR, I cant recall, or GTS-t havent used them, just sitting here collecting surface rust. look new to me. also look same size, or close to it, to my current dba slotted front rotors. trial fitment I say. -
the box should be fine ,mine is all a-ok with 240rwkw and I expect the auto to be as fine with another 25rwkw thrown on top over time it may get a little loose, but nothing like changing a clutch every few yrs perhaps in a decades time she may need a rebuild or strengthen up but that'd be about it. service it regularly with good fluids along with shift kit and you'll be alright nice turbo. bush bearing tho? went from bush highflow "2530-size" to ball bearing highflow "2835-size", massive difference in power delivery

The Automatic Performance Thread
Tangles replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Im purchasing a AEM F/IC-8 for $350 USD delivered. Supplues fuel mapping, injection alterations and ignition timing maps over 21x17 so that will give me heaps of scope to drop in the 480cc injectors and retune, selling the safc/sitc combo afterwards here comes 260kw -
The Automatic Performance Thread
Tangles replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
hey gary, yeah Ive upped the boost to 1.2bar now myself, so its seeing 250rwkw or thereabouts thru the Adelaide Hills AWD Stagea auto. Havent gone up to 20psi as yet as Im awaiting funds to drop in 6x jdm S15 450/480cc injectors Ive got here, and retune on dyno also thinking of getting a ecu (either megasquirt or emanage ultimate) piggybacked, and take out the safc/sitc. then shoot for 265kw good luck with the rebuild ! awesome fun, enjoyed doing the headwork with the Stag, and cant wait to drop in some rods/pistons -
Help Me Select A Garret Turbo For A Rb25 Used For Drift
Tangles replied to Simon-S14's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Id say then a Garret GT35R talk to darren aka dangermann4 about his 330rwkw gt35 setup . . . http://cgi.ebay.com.au/GARRETT-GT35-40-800...id=p3286.c0.m14 -
well... Ive witnessed a UFO on 2 occasions (with other witnesses) had a ghost stand right behind me, seen by mo bro and the freaked-out cat, then pass by and away (olds farm house) also had a red orb ball come thru the broken screen door into my bedroom (olds farm house), many years ago the study room is always cold, nasty feeling, sometimes you just have the urge to Get the f* outa there. door always closes itself, or opens itself. freaky

Haltech Interceptor For The M35 ( Envy Imports )
Tangles replied to Jetwreck's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
just tell her theres plenty more cash yet to go rolling into the Stagea ! and no she cant have a luis vetton handbag Im at the stage now where I want to drop in the 480cc injectors, but I want a better piggyback currently remap ecu + safc/sitc, Im thinking emanage ultimate or 2ndhand ebay special, like wolf3d remap and wolf3d probably would work well tbh............. -
mitch, man that really sux I will NEVER be going to or recommending anyone to go to turbotune will pass around the bad word for you. I see shaun @ boostwerkx for RB-related needs. best of luck with it, hassel them every day

auto awd 250rwkw Stagea pushes you back in the seat when applying power its a really awesome feeling - only problem being the "timing" due to the auto control, cant find the right zone to tromp it all the time but when it hooks up wow the power, the acceleration, the rev/speed needles, good g-forces into the seat (so much so I replaced stock driving seat for gripy D1 Saas seat) but besides buying a 20k R32 GTR (or 10k 1997 Stagea) and throwing 30k onto it, the next best thing is a bike. just picked up this ZX-9R for 5g on ebay 2 weeks ago. sweet no knees hurts, but sweet. jamned on braided lines, carbon bits, black bubble screen, jetkit, Art pipe, rearsets my cbr900rr with rebuilt suspension/engine with flatslides was a monster, insane acceleration from 0 all way to 300 + (6th gear 10,000 rpm) saving for a 3-4mm oversize piston kit for the zx-9r, taking it out to 974 or 998 will unleash the beast within. to me, having 300rwkw would be great day in day out, to feel really insane tho you cant beat a tricked-up 1litre sports bike for sheer flat-out 'ball-gripping" gforce & cornering glory

Mitch thats crazt for the workshop to treat you like that ! wow, Im never going there best of luck with it, you'll come out ok just will be a protracted effort by the looks of it take ruby's advice - police report, legal advice
