Is there any differences between the R32 GTR turbos and the R33 GTR turbos? Are they exactly the same and ceremic wheel at all? I need a pair of turbos for my car as well, one of them is gone............ And how about R34 GTR turbos and R33 GTR N1 turbos? Which one will you guys go for?

So how do I know the turbo is blown or not? I don't feel the turbo power at all, I thought if one of them is blown, the other one is still working.........can anyone give me the answer? And what is the reason why the boost guage never goes past zero?

When the noise suddenly started, I was speeding up the car, but not full boost, only around 70 km/h. And I heard some strange winding sound from engine bay, does it mean the turbo blown? So can I still drive the car?

The car is a completely standard 1990 GTR 32, standard boost, standard airbox and exhaust as well. It was ok when I left home this morning. When I was on the way back home on freeway, suddenly a strange sound came out from engine bay, then the engine lost power and felt like a NA engine. I tried to push it hard, the REV went up slowly and didn't feel the turbo power, the boost guage never went past zero, a winding sound came out from engine bay and the sound became stronger when the REV was higher. When I got home, the car was idling as normal, no smoke came out from the exhaust, but still no turbo power. Can anyone tell me are the turbos gone or is the engine problem? I didn't feel either of turbos is working. Is that expensive to fix? I hope it is not a serious problem............................. Any help will be appreciated in deep.

I got a similar problem as well. When I am driving the car, the oil pressure does up and down quite a bit. When I am driving the car hard, the oil pressure closes to the max sometimes. But when I stopped the car in front of traffic light for 30seconds or less, the oil pressure dropped from the middle to nearly zero and it happened quite a few times. However the oil pressure night never comes on. Any idea?

picked up the cover yesterday, it looks awesome. I have done the passenger seat so far, it looks good and I had only tied up all the elastic black threds, not the white ropes, as I don't want to damage the original trims. Has anyone done the door trims? I found out it is pretty hard to cut out and stick it on...........any idea?

As I owned a 2000 3door RAV4 for daily car before, I can give you some opinion. The RAV4 is a beautiful car to drive, the build quality, handling, comfortable, more space, easy to park. Moreover, it is more safety than the vitara. I got a small accident before, I was driving straight on the main road, a Excel came out from the small road, she didn't stop on the Giveway sign and hit my passenger side door. The bumper of Excel went inside quite a bit, but the door of my car just only had the color mark, not even a dent!! For the oil consumption, the RAV4 is quite thirsty, a full tank of petrol(35-40L) can go for around 380KM(freeway and city), I think because the car is quite heavy(when you open and close the door, you can feel it). So I will go for the RAV4, even the vitara is cheaper and the oil consumption is better, but the RAV4 is more reliable and safety as a daily car.
