  1. I've just noticed last night that my left brake light and my hi-stop light has both stopped working, now I'm left with just my right one. The left rear park light (is that what it's called?) is still working, just not lighting now with I hit the brakes. Since it was getting dark already I didn't have too much time to have a real good look. But I did check both the fuse boxes in the engine bay and by the accelerator, and both the fuses that related to the tail lights looked good (I only check under a torch, not with a multimeter). And I pulled the left lights out and again did a visual check on the bulb, it looked good. So now I m stumped, I will check the wiring/plugs after work today, but since the park light is working, I doubt anything is wrong with the plug. And it's odd that both the left and hi-stop both stopped working. The only thing I can think of is that the wiring has shorted/burnt etc. Just hoping someone here may have some ideas, and can point me in a direction to look solve this. Thanks Ant
  2. Would probably prefer to have the same size front/back, so I can rotate the tires later. Any big (problematic) issues with running wide-ish tires (say 245) on the front, apart from heavier steering
  3. Thanks, guys. Yeah, those rims in my photo and Dan's are the ones Im talking about. For some reason, although I posted up a 350z, it didn't occur to me that it was one. What sort of tyre size are you guys using? How wide? 235/245?
  4. Hi, Does anyone if a set of 18" 350GT wheels will fit nicely on a R34 GTT? These are the wheels I mean
  5. Just saw this now, so can anyone send me a copy? [email protected] Thanks
  6. They do seem like aftermarket to me; the stickers seems a bit budget for it to be Nissan. Sorry mate, but I've never seen it before. Have a look around you oil filter, does there seem to be anything extra plugged in?
  7. Hey SKY-LINER34, any chance you can put up a photo of your display? I've never seen a screen in a non GTR R34. Thanks
  8. My car didnt come with fog, and when I put them in I just wired up a switch next to the coil holder (behind the gear shift). I also made up a circuit that automatically turn off the fogs when I turned the car off, cos obviously I dont get the warning beep. To be honest though, I couldn't really turn if fog lights actually made a difference when I used them.
  9. Hey Project-GT4-TT, can i ask you where and how much you got the MFD for?
  10. On the S1 R33, the indicator/fog light assembly is one piece: - if you dont have fogs, the indicator part is longer than the fog part - if you have fogs, the fog part is longer than the indicator part
  11. Thanks for the photos, Satanic. I was trying to figure how it would fit under the boot hinges. I guess its quite different from the R33, where that had a bracket that sticks out as well. From the photos, you had to cut the lining right? Just a small slit? Yeah, the rear strut doesnt do much. My R33 felt the same when I installed one. Mainly for looks. Damn, why cant Nissan make more parts compatible between the R33 and R34
  12. Thanks Wisey18. Does anyone have a photo of their boot with the strut? Thanks
  13. Hi, Does the GTT have a rear strut bar option? Its it like the R32 (top of strut) or R33 (in the boot)? Any pics? Thanks
  14. Ok, after reading a few more threads, the answer seems to be no. Length is different. But does anyone know if each individual components are reusable?
  15. Does anyone know if a exhaust (everything turbo back) from a R33 GTS25T is transferable to a R34 GTT? I have a 3" turbo back exhaust from my old/written off R33 that I want to see if I can use on my new R34. Wanting to know if its plug and play, do it at home or does it need re-welding work. Has anyone done this? Thanks
  16. Thanks Chris!! I pretty good at electronic and shouldnt have problems wiring things up. I used to have a R33 GTS25T and use to spend heaps of time on it, but was written off in a accident. And now I m craving to work on something, so time isnt an issue either. All I need is good instructions and I should be good to go.
  17. Thanks, but I can't seem to find any info you mentioned. I had a good search through the forums, including searching for your posts but still cant find info on installing a reverse camera. Any chance you can link to them for me? Much appreciated. Thanks Anthony
  18. Hi guys, I m on the market for a 2001-2002 V35 sedan. After driving around my friend's 2004 sedan (with reverse camera), I m sure I need a camera too. However, most of the cars don't have a reverse camera (well, actually I haven't seen one with them yet), so I will have to install on myself. After reading this thread, it seems possible to add AV to the stock LCD. Can someone confirm these (sorry it's a bit confusing with some of the photos missing) - is the 6-pin white plug at the back of the TV unit for a camera or for a AUX in? - is this entire mod just the 6-pin white plug? anything else involved? (Sorry, everything I see seems to only involve the TV unit/white plug?) - there are comments about the video blacking out when car is moving, how will this affect a reverse camera setup? - when looking at cars, is that anything I need to look for in particular to make a reverse camera work? TV/AV button? - how many inputs does the LCD have? Possible to have a reverse camera and a AUX input? Thanks guys, and if you have anymore details about install a reverse camera, please let me know. Anthony
  19. From what I've read: R32/33/34 GTR seats will go into R32/R33 non GTR coupes From experience: R33 GTR seats will fit R33 GTS25T Just did a quick google search: http://www.jdmuniverse.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81628 http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/251428 http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...;p=3980986& ^Not a straight bolt on job; one of the holes dont line up
  20. Thanks for the reply guys. @33driver: Yeah I figured that I should go for brand name kit for the HID, for the reliability and ease of finding replacement bulbs. @wrxhoon: I was thinking about getting 2 pairs of bio-xenon to replace both high and low beam, and completely removing the reflectors. I've already done a relay mod for my headlights: they are powered directly from the battery. Lens used to fog up, but I've cleaned them up with the Wynns Headlight restorer kit (its not completely crystal clear, but pretty damn good) So if i get 2 pairs of these bi-xenon projectors: http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?f...&category0= And if i get 2 sets of non-bi-xenon hid kit, i should be good to go?
  21. I've been using Narva bulbs for my headlights for a while now, they are absolutely crap. They throw hardly any light out. I've recently changed to Philips VisionPlus +50, they are bloody awesome! I can actually see the road now, and all the road signs actually light (reflect) up. But still I'd like to get better lighting. There seem to be no aftermarket replacement units for R33 (whole headlight), and the R33 GTR xenon are very hard to find and too expensive. Theres obliviously the option of retro fitting projects, but this has issues as well, as unlike the R32 where they had projectors (some cars anyway), R33 only have rectangular reflectors which makes the retrofit difficult. Couple of questions about retro fitting though: -I know there are better projectors to use than others (A6, E46, Honda Euro) but can you put HID in any projectors? -If I retrofit a set of projectors into my headlights, can I then just buy any HID kits (as long as they are the same bulb)? -Is "bi-xenon" option normally part of the projector or bulb? I've seen HID kits advertised as "Bi-Xenon" and also aftermarket headlight units that say they have the motors inside. -Is it possible to retrofit with the auto-leveling feature? Is in necessary? -Whats the difference between "Xenon" kits (I think that have D2S bulbs or something) and "HID" kits (with regular H1, H4 etc bulbs)? But what about using R34 xenons? Would this be possible? The R34 doesnt use projectors but a reflector, and since they are rectangular already it should be easier to fit right? What do you guys think? Thanks
  22. I recently cleaned my out while i was putting on a new bumper. I just used a can engine decreaser (<$3NZ). Then used detergent, followed by a very good rinse. And finally a rinse with meths. Although it looked clean(ish) when i first looked into it, alot black stuff came out. But i guess it wasnt too bad considering it hasnt been cleaned for 13yrs. And yeah, can you let us know how well it fits, as i m also looking at upgrading to an R34 SMIC.
  23. Hi, I've had R33 GTR rims on my R33 25T and they fit fine. Cant quite remember but i dont think they stick out, or if they did it still looks really good. Only problems i had was that they rub the inside of the tire well at full lock, this is an easy fix as you can just rivet the panels back (they are quite flexible). I only had them on for a test fit and i didnt actually take them out for a proper drive so i cant tell you if they will hit anything else when you go over a bump etc. They have 245/40/R17 on them. I now have a set of 17"x9" offset 22 with 225/40/17 and these do rub on the back when i go over a bump too fast
  24. Yes it will as i have the same setup in my car. Although, as PHOTON-XL said the intake pipe gets in the way. On my car, the previous owner (my mate) had to bend it a little. Dunno how, but he has a few uncles who are mechanics, so i m sure one of them did it. On mine it doesn't touch the engine anymore, but has made a small dent on the material on the inside of the bonnet. Nothing major really. Hope that helps.
