Hi, I've been having an issue with my hicas in my R33, where the hicas light stays on after I've been driving for 5kms at high speed (motorway speeds). I've taken it to a mechanic where they connected up a consult and found the error to be "steering angle sensor - not present". (I didnt get them to fix it cos they were too busy that day, and i need my car for work) So I decided to take it apart to have a look. And....I cant see really see whats wrong. I've read how some ppl have said that their horn button has broken into pieces and that has caused them problems but mines clean. I kinda part apart the sensor: i just took off the optical sensor module from the slotted disc assembly and both seem alright. Can anyone tell me what I should be looking for? Any ideas anyone? yep, they are illegal here in NZ too. although theres alot of cars with 4 lights driving around; 2 normal beam and 2 more lower down in the bumper like the r33. what would those be? ppl driving illegally or are those lower ones also dipped? how hard is it to wire the new switch to the buzzer that warns you that you left the lights on? i dont want to leave them on and drain the battery

cheers Atreyu!! i was gonna wire up a switch by the coin holders near the handbrake. yeah a couple more questions: - does the car beep when you leave you factory fog lights on after you turn off the car? - and does the dash light up as well? e.g. does the car behave like you have you normal beam on?

@MintR33: are the two different set physically the same size? Can i replace my non-foglights with real fog lights in the same bumper? I cant really tell from the pics whether they are the same size or not. cheers
