okay - there you go put it this way - it would be much easier to source a 2nd hand rb20det or rb25de box then do a cut and shut bellhousing mod to fit a sr20 box behind a rb25

hmm, maybe your issue is more over fueling and not burning all of the fuel properly i would look at maybe getting the Oxygen sensor changed, getting the timing checked, really, just checking out the fuel delivery system to make sure it is all good and that all sensors are working properly..

dont think so i think you will find that the bolt pattern is different if they were the same i think you would find a lot of silvia owners going to a stronger rb25det box then the notchy 6 speed on the s15 and the weaker input shafted s14/s14a items like eug said, the rb20det box is the same as the rb25de rb20det's came out in r32 gts-t's, cefiros, laurels, r32 gts-4's (but in awd configuration) and a few others that i cant think off atm

thats called overrun thats different to backfiring cause the engine is at high-ish revs, but there is no real load on the engine, and so it revs without using the accelerator there is an excess of fuel in the burnt mixture because of the closed throttle, and when it hit the cat converter it mixes with a bit of oxygen and self ignites thus the pop/gurgle/burping noise backfiring is like a full on ignition of fuel/air mixture partially in the engine and in the exhaust - thats why its loud and bad for your engine

its not so much the crank failing as it is the block 'letting go' above 7-7.5k rpm the rb30 block doesnt have internal bracing ribs like the rb26 does - so it has the ability to flex more and there is the potential for it to throw a piston or rod at or above those rpms

well - you know how the light blue lines should appear around all the changeable regions?? well with me it doesnt - but it lets me modify the regions - without actually seeing the result of what ive done i did a random bonnet autosculpt on a camaro - and some times in photo mode and in races you can see that i ended up with a f**k-off big supercharger pocking out the bonnet with big sides on it..... asked ea support too - they're getting back to me

in regards to the na sr20 option autech (i think) did a tuned sr20de version that made as much power as the oz delivered sr20det... upped CR, flowing heads, exhaust, intake and a cam and ecu tune was what was done from what ive read

think rx8 are distributer-less plus the rx8 engine is a completely new design compared to the rx7 and previous rotors i say go rotormotion

got NFS: Carbon on my macbook pro 2.33ghz dual core, 256mb graphics, 2mb ram game runs fine but i got no autosculpt i cant see the regions, but i can still modify, but cant see the result of what ive done running on medium settings on 1024*768 anybody got any suggestions?? (oh, running latest version too 1.4)
