Dan, feel free to move this, but i would imagine it would gather more interest here Hi All, During Movember (the month formerly known as November) I'll be growin a Mo. That's right I'm bringing the Mo back because I'm passionate about changing men's health and the fight against male depression and prostate cancer. Why... Depression affects 1 in 6 men...Most don't seek help. Untreated depression is a leading risk factor for suicide. Last year in Australia 18,700 men were diagnosed with prostate cancer and more than 2,900 died of prostate cancer - equivalent to the number of women who die from breast cancer annually. Men are far less healthy than women. The average life expectancy of males is 5 years less than females. To sponsor my Mo please go to http://www.movember.com/au/donate, enter my registration number which is 101780 and your credit card details. Or you can sponsor me by cheque made payable to the "Movember Foundation" clearly marking the donation as being for my Registration Number: 101780. Please mail cheques to: PO Box 292, Prahran VIC 3181. All donations over $2 are tax deductible. The money raised by Movember is donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and beyondblue - the national depression initiative, which will use the funds to create awareness, fund research and increase support networks for those men who suffer from prostate cancer and male depression. For those that have supported Movember in previous years you can be very proud of the impact it has had and can check out the detail at: Fundraising Outcomes. Movember culminates at the end of the month at the Gala Partés. These glamorous and groomed events will see Tom Selleck and Borat look-a-likes battle it out for their chance to take home the prestigious Man of Movember title. If you would like to be part of this great night you'll need to purchase a Gala Parté ticket . Thanks for your support Ashley More info is available at www.movember.com. Movember is proudly grown by Commonwealth Bank, Holden, Schick and VB. Movember is proud partners with the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and beyondblue - the national depression initiative. A PRE MOVEMBER PHOTO WILL BE TAKEN WITH ABOUT 3/4 MONTH 'TRIAL' GROWTH PROGRESS PICS WILL BE IN THE MOVEMBER 2007 SECTION OF THE GENERAL WASTELAND... BRING ON MOVEMBER 1ST!!!!!!

the extra throw on teh rb30 crank is too big for the rb25 from all accounts it would almost be as expensive to do all that as it would be to do the engine build.... edit: you can get a rb25 out to about 2.7 litres if you want throw in a r34 gtr crank (yes, they fit no worries), bore it 20thou over, throw in a set of custom pistons - voila (mate of mine here in wa done that - with a to4z it makes around 570rwhp)
-
i just read on www.r31skylineclub.com that user GTS_143 (on here aswell) recorded a whopping 230rwhp or 171rwkw on a rb30/25 n/a built engine here an exerpt: theres something to live up to and beat.....

w00t w00t.... my free entry voucher is in the mail so i might use it then but maybe i wont get put into the SAUWA lane cause that would embarress all you guys....
-
im 99.99% sure that no rb30e block came with squirters the s2 block came with an oil feed spot due to holden wanting to go turbo - so nissan changed the casts slightly to accomodate that
-
why not use a twin throttle setup like funky said?? ive seen twin throttle setups on the factory plenums - use one for the sc and another for the turbo - have a solenoid switch that closes the sc throttle at a set boost pressure from the turbo, and also a switch that turns the clutch off on the sc it could work....
-
man - im starting to drool..... im hopefully getting a r32 next yr and i was not sure on what to get - i think i might get a cheap 4 door n/a and do a 'cheap' rb30/25 hybrid (just the usual block, non vct head, highest cr pistons that are around - 25de i believe and some cams, exhaust and intake) blow the socks off all my mates cars thats for sure....

-
known 'problem' with teh extra deck height of the rb30 in the 32's if i remember rightly from what ive read the stock cross-over pipe should work with a 'massage' (ie read bash) of the reinforcing bars on the underside of the bonnet
-
BOOM!!! headshot!!!! oh woops, wrong hunting.....
-
who cares what it is - its a lot of r&d there, and an awesome advertisement of the ability of the workshop saw the car the other day and holy nutsack it looks better in real life doesnt only drag - also does circuit work too (boost winded down a fraction i believe) and is quick at that aswell
-
keep short shifting into 5th
-
was looking through all those dotars pdfs - damn there is a lot!!!! i was looking at doing a rear disk conversion and a bigger disk on the front coupled with a bigger master cylinder on the excel - but it looks like too much trouble if i get 'caught' - looks like i'll just have to go to slotted disks and bendix ultimates
-
GT Autosounds built the LS1 twin turb R34 engine is as heavy as the rb and weight distribution was better as it is a shorter length engine i say go the 302 and a tremec box - top loader is bit too old school

Cascada - Everytime We Touch
-
v8sc = big dollars just think about those quick change rotors the top teams had at bathurst the R&D in that would be massive
-
fitzpatrick speed works does modded sumps to mate rb30 blocks to the 4wd system i think he still is a user on here try that...
-
on a side note - if they put the v8 from the z33 fairlady gt500 in the GTR for a race car - could we claim it as a 'v8 supercar' then??? "but look - its got a v8!!! Come on!!"
-
chris - thats a wicked photochop and mock story...... :hi5:
