  1. went and got a fluid flush by neill today (Race Brakes WA) top bloke i was there for 2 hours, 1.5 hours talking Gav - his braiding machine is one its way from England and he should have it in a few weeks From what he was telling me there are only a few places in WA that do braided lines like he does most places have a rubber sleeve over the braid and underneath the crimp at the end Neill was saying what can happen is the rubber sleeve can get hot and go soft and the crimp can actually pull off His connections are crimped straight onto the line, no rubber sleeve

  19. here is some interesting vortex generators called air tabs http://www.airtab.com/ same principle as the EVO vortex generators, but they look smaller this guy has done some experimenting with them on his mini cooper and is going to use them on his aerial atom http://www.dpcars.net/ (click the mini cooper picture on the left hand side, page 6 right towards the bottom - dated 2/7/07 and also click the aerial atom picture - 6th pic on the left - page 4 last entry before 03/15/07 date) so far from what ive read from this guy, its kept the dust off the back of his cooper!! the atom would be interesting when its up and running, as it is track only and high speed ive also seen in the fabrication section a guy in the US made a fairing of sorts to go from the top entry of his front bar, to the top of his FMIC to reduce turbulence between the bar and the FMIC and increase airflow over his FMIC anyway read away: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=156651 it could reduce drag a fraction, plus 'cleans' up the air and keeps it straight all through the front of the car...
  20. ask tofu he had to get his chassis rails straightened.... actually i think he got precision to do it

  24. there is various theories whether its bad or not to run the tank nearly dry etc etc personally i believe that there shouldnt be much buildup in the bottom of the tank, and i always run the tank on my excel empty with no side effects try a few times running the tank "emptier" so to nearly on empty and see what happens if it seems to get rough and surging and lurching, then maybe its time to replace the pump (as teh filter sock is prob stuffed) and also check the fuel filter aswell re: oils and the like - ive seen the results of changing all the oils to the Royal Purple brand (motor oil, diff oil and gearbox oil), with a power increase of around 10rwkw normal as this is a full synthetic, quality 0w (thin) oil depending on the climate, a 0w oil might be too thin, but a good quality 10w or 15w semi or full synthetic would be the goods (and its not like a turbo motor oil, where the oil kinda gets 'heat cycled' by the turbo and supposedly breaks down quicker and therefore needs to be good quality and changed often)
  25. straight away do a rb30 swap then zorst then welded diff then drift it.....
