  1. yeah i saw a few traction issues mind you, a few people were running like heavy 17 and 18 inch rims with not that much rubber reducing tyre mass, and increasing sidewall height for the drags is a good idea - firstly reducing sprung mass (less tyre mass = less inertia = quicker of the line) and secondly allowing the rim to 'spin' in the tyre and allowing more grip (sidewall wrinkle on drag cars) its funny, ive heard convo's between guys in their 'fully sic commodores' complaining that there running shit times, and ive asked them what there setup is. the answer: full stereo system, big 17,18,19 inch heavy chromies, tight coilover suspension systems. HELLOOOO, thats ur problem right there!!!

  5. thats what drew said - he was racing him and as he crossed the line he saw black smoke coming from the car
  6. because Strich9 (kym) said that if he ran with them on again, he would bitch slap him so michael did, but no slap yeah, heard about that gavin i was walking past when i heard ya go 'finally, got first gear' then you took off
  7. i think dan may have got paul's spin on vid, but im not sure apparently a 125mph is good enough for a 10 second pass - but he just couldn't get the power down. Watching him race and he was spinning it still on half track - but one 'advantage' of the power meant that he did some awesome burnouts a few of you guys did some limiter bashing burnouts - sounded and looked good AND michael ended up running with his hazards on, and lost to paul in the same race
  8. there were some pretty quick runs Paul had some dramas - but maybe Dan can enlighten about that D3vlish ran some quick times (Strich9's girlfriend) and so did Judged (rb26 r33 gts-t) a quick count revealed about 30 skylines from SAUWA

  19. i reckon teh car looks hawt not such a big fan of the squeeker tho i appreciate the amount of engineering to go into the twin turb v8 engine, but something just doesnt go prob cause its a combo of teh roar of the LS1 plus the spool of the the turbs it prob would be a diff sound if it was a nissan v8+turb combo
  20. hmmmm sounds interesting date pending i might show myself it is good fun - ive done it b4
  21. wgmg is trying to use Curtin's online class registration/enrolment thingo when every other student of 35,000 is trying to use it at the same time and so it takes about an hour to register classes for just one unit ARGHHHHH!!!

  23. well, isnt the Zonda a 7.3 litre v10 or a v12? i didnt think it was a v8 anything with more than 8 cylinders starts to sound like a motorbike - just think of the lambo gallardo
  24. what i gather from what ive seen and read, its a devise that cuts spark at a preset rev limit or at the rev limiter, so when you hit that point it doesn't spark, but dumps mass fuel/air into the exhaust and then (i think) sparks as it is exiting(?) this is why it pops and farts and shoots flames out the zorst and thats why it puts strain on teh engine as exploding fuel/air expands very rapidly, stressing and fatiguing metal
  25. i dont think dan will have enough room on teh tape/drive to catch all that andrew!!!! so no meet up point by the looks of it then
