check out www.r31skylineclub.com (.au?) the technical section has info about using a vl comp in a r31 so u might be able to get it too work the other way around
-
but if u can drift an all wheel drive gtr, why change it too 2wd ohh - and all wheel drive drifting can be done - practice practice practice but not on the street, on a track or private property
-
you've experienced 0.95% of pubs but 99% of that has been at curtin tav for about 30% of my uni life so far

i dont no what you been told but a n/a can be tuned go for a couple hours on a dyno with a professional dyno tuner and see what they can do - all that really will be done is timing and ignition to a degree but it will be enough to possibly extract a little more power and also make the car more reliable (less chance of detonation) what should you do? well, with an n/a, after letting it breath properly and letting it exhale properly, the next steps usually cost big bucks. you start getting into head work (ie cams, porting polishing, possible flow bench testing for extreme porting) and then after that is engine work (lighter conrods and pistons, changing the comp ratio higher etc, nitriding and balancing the crank etc) something that can be done tho, that may be worthwhile, is getting a lightened flywheel and maybe balance the driveshaft. this will allow you to rev up quicker and will allow you to handle some power without destroying anything back there. in term of cost? i wouldnt have a clue, but all those will be rather expensive

im in perth paul unless u can arrange some sort of transport and if its not yet sold then maybe and my mate has got a sss stanza 5 speed dogleg gearbox aswell - according to ur site datrats.com waz or dan that is worth about $400
-
frend of mine has a 240k 5 speed gearbox and he wants to sell it, but hes not sure how much exactly we no that they arent that common, and they are pretty strong (apparently) they are from the c110's are they not? anyway i saw a reconditioned one for $400 bucks so...... how much is this one worth (decent condition)?

342Four replied to TUF-200's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
looking good the s13 suspension is a very good idea for the r31 plus the r32 brakes will fit on that too i think -
omg that is a horn car man ive read teh whole build from the beginning and kept up with the updates and this is one horn car good to see a relativly uncommon type of car as a drift pig - not a 180, silvia, or a ae86 - but a good old wholesome skyline ive seen ur old car in hot4's drift sections (at least i think it is anyway) now i look forward to seeing the new one in it well done

Time for NA Power, the wait is over.....
342Four replied to NA_R33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
nice - well done how powerful was it anyway? cant wait till autosalon comes to perth in july - looks like it will be good ohh - and has that zoom issue come out yet? -
our bf territory is really bad aswell they reckon with all the new engine management and 2 extra gear ratios fuel consumption for a 190kw all wheel drive 2 tonne car is about 12.8L/100km what shit is that? we get about 14 sometimes 15L/100km now that is shit
-
russ also check out www.r31skylineclub.com for info on the rb30e engine there should be some other tech stuff there that might interest you
-
hi bugger bout ur ride tho ive had many probs with my excel too...cars can be a downright pain in the ass sometimes
-
bought a clutch kit of a guy on ebay for my excel no worries shipped in 3 days (and that was from over east over the weekend) cost me $160 plus shipping (my mechanic reckons that they are bought $200-300 from hyundai) but yeah - check the trader rating etc etc, if its a shop its usually a little bit more reliable - so see if u can get the shit thru a ebay shop

Early Skyline, What's It Worth?
342Four replied to Gronker's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
L24e engine then so it is a r30 skyline nice -
if there anything like i was then ure in for trouble hehehe
-
dude - jump on the r31 bandwagon buy a cheap r31 - one with a decent driveline and 5 speed manual buy a s13 brake upgrade as they fit right in nicely buy a set of coilovers some sway bars and a strut brace attack the dif with a welder and lock it do some simple intake and exhaust mods done fully sic torquey r31 drifter for bout $3000 (the rb30e is nice and torquey for 2 and 3 gear drifts) then of course u can get a vl turbo kit for it or do a rb30/25 hybrid, still with torque but more powerful
-
yep - completed that already good old curtin hey
-
yeah i realise that dood but it is reasuring that you have got insurance
-
nah - blue yeah im alright sum dude in a slipway to turn right didnt see me (cause he was looking into the sun) and just went result - front end damage, be bout two weeks at smash repairs - doh!!!
-
here is my ride all smashed up like (just today)
-
people that dont give way when turning right across traffic now my excel is all damaged front end is nice and mush ie new bonnet and bumper, possibly new radiator mounts, maybe new radiator and thats hopefully only it - i hope no chassis damage ohh and this is why you get full compo insurance cause i dont have to pay a cent for it mwhahahaha cause it was the other guys fault (and to think i just got it all nice and repaired like)

an easier way - if ur on a pc enable hidden folders and go thru a couple of folders and u should find all the music - drag it off, download a convertor and voila - ur tunes are now mp3 if ur using iTunes go to prefs, go to advanced or somthing like that there is a importing tab there somewhere - choose the convertor as mp3 click done or whatever go to the main window click the advance menu thingo and then click convert to mp3 - and voila ur tunes are mp3 then when that is done find where ur music is stored and do with it what u want from there
