  1. gts1's and 2's are really hot property among r31 enthusiasts - if u seen one for sale relativly cheap chibi - go and buy it cause they will get very expensive very soon i prefer the gts2's mainly cause of the body (we got a s3 exec at home - same body shape as the gts2's- very smooth looking - and nicer bonnet and nicer looking headlights) ohh - and they didn't come with a diff chip - same chip just diff cam and bilstiens and extractors there's a thread on here somewhere that has a whole debate about em - the deciding factor was a former tassie cop who drove them (they had them as cop cars there) said that they didn't - and he has driven a copy gts2 and it felt the same (ie - lumpier cam, extractors, zorst) chibi - check out this link: http://forum.r31skylineclub.com/index.php?topic=10605.0 australian r31 gts1 and gts2 register compiled by owners and previous owners and people who no the people who own them (lol)

  5. just speccy up the plenum and rocker cover and chop a hole in the bonnet and mould a bit of perspex or someting like that rice!!!!!!........ lol or do what george said and make a bonnet scoop it will be out of centre but will make it look different and cool at the same time and it wil look like u have a got a huge mother ass v8 with like a 700 double pumper holley carb or someting but really a rb30 (damn - i would have prefered the v8 with a 700 double pumper holley and big air filter to the rb30 - but o well)

  8. was anybody at woobars wednesday wednesday past? did anybody see the burnout comp? first - r31 GX Wagon how cool is that the car is a frendz of mine he set it up as a burnout car fully he's ripped out the a/c, fan and all other unessecary things that run off the engine put in two thermo fans, extractors, lsd, minispool, 2 1/4 exhaust this thing goes farken hard hey he's gone through 3 gearboxes already in this car doing burnouts lol the funny thing was that he was against 12 other guys who all had v8's the crowd laughed when he came out but realised really quickly that this car was one mean ass burnout car and he just didnt win just either - he wipped em apparently GO THE R31 BURNOUT CAR!!!!!!!!!!
  9. go to the licensing centres around and ask if they have given out any 1C number platyes yet - that can narrow it down my aunty only just got 1BYL number plates so there cant be many 1C's around (there surename is BYL - how cool is that standard number plates with ur surname) hope u get the insurance payout and get the fu(k@ that hit ur wife

  13. go the rb30et far stronger engine saw in a street commonwhores mag a Vl commonwhore with a rb30et running 306.6rwkw with stock LSD diff and tailshaft if u got the dough buy a rb30e, plug a big turbo on it, chunky cam, forged rods, new pistons, new ecu, new plenum (possibly custom), bigger throttle body and u will have one mean ass c210 the rb25 engine will cost a lot more and therefore less money for mods!! simple solution - buy decent rb30 engine = more money for mods = mean ass car!!

  22. i think it was me that ordered the r33 gtr ute good choice i think as that is the one that most suits the chop lol
  23. ummm as a r31 skyline maniac definetly go for a s3 r31 - later model 88 to 90 ie look for ones where the bonnet doesn't go straight across - the s3 bonnet goes down below the top of the lights better looking body and better suspension than the s1 and s2 if uve got 5 grand go for a sillo as rsx84 said or even an Ti try get ones with a lsd and man tranny as they are tops just watch out for dodgy diffs and trannies if auto take it for a test drive and check gear changes - with powershift on and off watch out for rough changes from 1 - 2nd and sometimes 3 - 4 drive it hard a bit (ie 50 kays then flatten it) and make sure it drops back a gear and then pushes up back into ur seat check gear changes after driving it hard as they sometimes might get sticky or even stuck (ie stuffed or dodgy shyncros) check body roll (ie drive round tight corners and check movement in body) if lowered check springs for cut springs as that is very dodgy plus a very big insurance problem if u hurt or kill somebody as they can blam it on a home chop job when u check it out make sure the engine is NOT hot as this may mean that there is an oil problem (dodgy lifters, cold start problems) dont worry if the engines ticks as this is normal it shoulg go tick tick tick tick tick fairly constantly and repetitivly if it doesnt ask if its got new lifters - if not then ask if its got a new head do the usual stuff - check oil (should be black or red not thick and chunky and glugy - unless its due for a oil change soon), check tranny fluid (should be no friction material or metal specks in it or smell burnt - if there is then dodgy gbox) check diff fluid (again should not smell burnt or metal specks or friction material) ohh and when driving - let it coast at about 20 kays an hour and then press the accelerator down about half if big clunkin noise then tailshaft loose in diff or diff bearings are on there way out - may mean new tailshaft or diff check for diff whine - it usually does a bit - but if excessive then bearings are shot and rebuild required or new diff i think this about covers it actually i'll post a pic or too of our car and show ya what the s3 looks like
  24. where on the rb30 is the water pump situated? what needs to be taken off the engine to get to it? our water pump went on our exec and something needed to be taken off to get to it - and that thing was replaced at the same time and i was just wondering what it would be
