  1. Yes you can, and doing so makes life so much easier when it comes time to bleed and also gives better pedal feel
  2. You cant check engine numbers that came with a car from factory with FAST as far as im aware. Mike you need to look on the exhaust (turbo side) of your motor, on the block. Its stamped on there. You wont be able to see it very easily from the top especially with standard turbos. Also mate that box behind the rear seats isnt the ECU, that would probably be your HICAS/ATTESA controler. ECU is in the passenger side kick panel
  3. Hey Mark, If you can do custom lines like this.... Can you PM me a price for a full set of braided lines to suit an S13 with R33 calipers on all 4? (ie no banjo connections, all screw in/olive fittings) Thanks mate
  4. Nissan will be able to locate that for ya I have one that I bought but dont need....cant remember what its worth but if nissans price puts you off then PM me and we'l work something out Ps. I have both the hoses as well...may as well replace them both
  5. I have heard it has some kind of dampening affect due to the increase in the diameter of the line. Clutch always feels better when its gone!!
  6. I found it interesting to see all the accessories available at least.
  7. Yes it should have been removed. That box is nothing but trouble
  8. Hahahah, "the project" has waited almost 2 years now, another 2 weeks aint gonna kill me Cheers for your help tho guys, il be waiting for the .9
  9. Hi Guys Firstly some info on my car: 1990 180sx with an RB25DET conversion. What I want to do: Run a trust/greddy oil cooler kit to suit S13 SR20DET Now the group i would buy the kit from say that I should easily get away with running the SR kit on the RB as the thread and seal diameter are the same between SR and RB. I have checked the Ryco website and the thread and seal diameter are the same between both engines but the seam diameter is different on the RB25 (10mm or so bigger). Now from this its pretty confirmed in my mind that I should be ok and that the kit should bolt on ok (as both the things that matter are the same) but I guess im just after other peoples opinions before I commit and buy it. So if any one has any input or has tried this before then ide be very grateful to hear about it Also, has anyone ever just run a Z442 on an RB before? Its a smaller filter....thats about all thats different. Any Pros/cons to a smaller filter? Links to filter info RB: Z145A: http://www.rycofilters.com.au/catalogue/pr...line/part/Z145A SR: Z442: http://www.rycofilters.com.au/catalogue/pr...ilvia/part/Z442 Cheers, Ryan
  10. Think il wait for the .9 bar, cheers fellas!
  11. Profec B would be the one doing the controlling Provided I can figure out how to use the damn thing
  12. Hey dudes Say i want to run about 1-1.2bar. Ive got a tial 44mm wastegate on order but they say there will be a 2 week delay on the .9 bar spring. Alternatively, they have the .6 bar ready to go right now. Would I be best waiting to get the spring closest to my desired boost level or would anything work so long as I have a decent boost controller setup? Cheers, Ryan
  13. It may well be stronger but unless you are making decent power and have modified the auto in some way then I wouldnt be worrying about transmission strength For the manual off the top of my head u need: - Box - Shifter - Manual center console surround - Clutch slave/master and piping - Pedal - Manual tailshaft - Modified crossmember (if fitting 33 trans) and manual gearbox mount. - Manual engine back plate - Manual flywheel, flywheel bolts and spigot bush - Clutch - Clutch lever/throwout bearing assembly. Probably missed some things.
  14. Bahhahah your a true gentleman. I only needed one washer and like you it was only in that mixed pack for 5 bucks!!! Opened the pack, pocketed the washer, went and spent that 5 bucks at the hotdog and drink stand out the front. I figure ive given bunnings enough money over time...
  15. You can try but I dont think you will get to far. They will probably tell you it wasnt installed properly. I wasnt even aware people sold second hand water pumps to be honest =/
  16. Maybe if you wanted to get some work done to the RB25 box then stick it in so you can minimize your off road time. Otherwise no I dont see any benefits what so ever What would be good for your car is a 5 speed from an R33
  17. When I lost mine I had no trouble finding replacements at bunnings? They were in a pack of about 10-15 assorted washers
  18. Hey all, Have a brand new turbosmart progate for sale. No longer needed as Ive decided to go with a 44mm unit. This is brand new, never used. Still in its wrapping. Comes with 3 extra springs and all fittings/vband clamps etc. Chasing $650 ono Cheers, Ryan. PS, please email [email protected] if you want the quickest response
  19. Dunno what happened to this guy. I bought my 180sx from him originally and could not have been happier with the purchase. The car was mint, the price was cheap and he was really easy to deal with. Jshop probably wont know where he is. He hasnt been there for ages. Last I heard he wasnt in the country.
  20. Go get them from nissan? Might cost a bit more but you will be getting the right bolt at the end of the day
  21. Looks like maybe a twin plate, definitely nismo....cant really tell from the pics. Look on it for some sort of ID. Any numbers or random letters, all helps

Large Turbonetics turbo - unsure of specs GTR injectors GTR fuel pump GTR radiator Xtreme H/D clutch Cross drilled rotors front and rear ITS external gate with screamer FMIC with stainless pipework - fitted by Kermit HKS Boost controller Custom triple pillar mount guages (water, oil temp and pressure) Sony Deck with ipod lead 12inch sub with sony xplod amp - mounted in boot Full service was done on the car around 3000km ago. The service included new plugs, fuel filter, oil filter, coolant, vac lines, new timing belt and water pump. Notes Previous owner had it at 345 hp on speedworks hub dyno at 1.3 bar. With a bit of love there's more in him than that. I didn't get the papers off him though. If I had the cash I'd certainly give it my best. He has a very unique sound - quite different from most other 32s ive seen around, and very solid to drive. Reason for selling is to knock a few k off the rather large amount of money I owe my bank, and get myself a 4wd or something a bit more practical PICTURES: 13k ono. PM me or email [email protected] Cheers, Ryan
  23. Thought as much. I guess my next question is: would these effects be very dramatic if I was only to use a small amount (say 3-4mm) of spacing? Also, Is there any way to counter these effects?
  24. Hi SAU, I have dropped an RB25det into my 180sx and it fits but I need to drop it lower to clear the bonnet etc. Im going to slot the engine mount brackets down abit which should give me 10-15mm but im also interested in putting some spacers inbetween the front crossmember and the chassis rail. What im after is some input as to how this would affect the front suspension of the car. Would it make a difference at all? Regards
  25. Got sick of the thing - sounds like it spends half of the time recirculating.
