R33 S2 Highflowed Turbo
rinmak replied to rinmak's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Ok guys I spoke to the turbo place today and they told me the following: - Definitely a high flow (duh) - Capable of about 450hp - Scoring on the compressor housing is easily tidied up. - Compressor wheel will need replacement as one of the fins is slightly bent ($120 for new wheel) - To expect about $800 all up for a rebuild inc parts and labour....and it was a worst case scenario sort of quote. So in light of this the new price for the turbo is 300 ono -

R33 S2 Highflowed Turbo
rinmak replied to rinmak's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Fair enough. I wasnt very sure on the price so im open to offers. Feel free to PM me with one. Il also get a quote on the rebuild and at the same time hopefully get some specs. Way I saw it was that people pay 1500 bucks to get their turbo's highflowed, and if my assumptions are correct then this turbo will only need about 400-500 worth of work done to get it rebuilt and working properly as a highflow...so its basically a new highflow for 1k give or take. Anyway, il get some pics and a quote in the next few days hopefully. Oh and sorry no specs or dyno sheets. Ive had the car 2 weeks and only drove it half a k before a cooler pipe fell of and subsequently got run over =/. Cheers guys. -
Hey guys, I have a highflowed turbo for sale that came off a stagea I bought recently. The turbo would suit a rebuild as there is some noticeable movement back and forth on the shaft and also side to side. The compressor housing also shows the slighest signs of being touched by the compressor wheel on occasion. The turbo did not make any noise before it came off and had a slight amount of oil left in the cooler pipes. I have no receipts for the work as it was done by previous owners but I will get pics of the front/rear wheels and its quite obvious that it has been highflowed as they are massive. Still yet to get a quote from a turbo shop to rebuild this but I would expect around the $400-$500 mark. Done a search here and these highflows seem to go for about 1300 bucks secondhand so im going to ask $600 for my one as is. Will eventually get a quote on rebuild and may even have this done then sell as a new turbo but I thought I would post it up and see if anyone else wants to take it as is. Located in Perth but should be ok to post. Regards, Ryan

R33 Hub Being Put On A Cefiro....
rinmak replied to WebR33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Cefiro uses S13 running gear from memory meaning you will need everything that an S13 needs for 5 lug hubs. For the rear you can use R33 but fronts will require S14 LCA, S14 spindles and an S14 hub. -
Cause any problems for you guys? Does the shifter hit the floor pan at all with the changed position? And you both using A31 cross member with RB20 mounts/mount brackets right?
-
Simon is the box in yet? If so, how did you find the shifter to line up with the shifter hole in the S13 chasis? Any pics of this if possible? Eventually il be putting a 25 in my 180....just waiting to get the motor back together at the moment!

Hi all, Im chasing an aftermarket cooler pipe to suit an R33. Im after the one on the hot side of the cooler (turbo side) that goes from the factory piping down and around to meet up with the cooler inlet. It can be seen as the bottom right hand side pipe in this pic: http://www.digi-hardware.com/images/pipping/r33r32.JPG Tried a few shops but they aint keen on seperating their kits...and I dont wanna go custom just yet. If anyone has one laying about it would help me greatly Thanks, Ryan

Thanks. Can anyone recommend what springs to get & where from?
-
Johno put me down for another 2 044's and 2 brackets So my order is 3 044's and 3 brackets Cheers
-
Emancipator how much were the springs and where did you get them? I take it the $360 was just labour and the springs were on top of that?
-
Thanks mate PM sent. Anyone recommend what springs to use? Ive heard GTR springs drop in but would they be necessary/beneficial with my baby cams (poncams 256 8.5mm)? Edit: Ok a search of these wonderful forums proved me wrong, GTR springs are not a bolt in for an NVCS 25. Can anyone recommend an alternative aftermarket product?

It shouldnt affect your dipsitck. If it was that bad then your engine wouldnt be alive right now Hard to say man, as said above watch oil pressure if you can A friend had a similar bump on a CA and we went to all the effort of dropping the xmember slightly to get the sump off and there was still a good 2-3mm of clearance. If your like me and have nothing better to do on the weekend then why the hell not though ^_^
