  1. Hmm, I wonder if that's a good price. Didn't realise they sold them brand new on ebay.
  2. Is an AFM fairly robust? Or do I want to be careful about where I purchase them from? Wouldn't want to get a shoddy one that makes tuning difficult or dies after a few months due to sitting in a dusty garage.
  3. I am in the market for a Z32 air flow meter for my r32 skyline with rb25det. Now I could buy one second hand but I am not sure if it is risky to do so, am I better off spending the extra for a brand new one? If so where is usually the best place to get them from, nissan genuine spare parts? Or one of the various jap distributors? Cheers guys
  4. Went to my mates place to check where his was and sure enough found it instantly above his fuse box, went back to mine and sure enough it was in the same place. So confused how I spent 20 minutes looking and couldn't find it but found it immediately on another car. Strange.
  5. $681!!! what the f**k since when is getting defected a fine able offence?
  6. He did technically say block, not block + piston and crank combo lol
  7. Yeah looked everywhere there, no joy.
  8. I opened the ECU up and it has the nistune daughterboard in there, how would they have tuned it if it doesn't have the connector? I'll go check if it has the light or not in a sec.
  9. Stuck my head in the foot well with a torch for 5 minutes and theres nothing there or behind the ECU kick panel, totally confused. I guess I'll have to ring the tuner who did it on monday.
  10. I have an r32 gtst which has a nistune that has been tuned so it must have a consult port somewhere but I cannot for the life of me find it, is it normally where the ECU is or do they put it on the drivers side or something? Cheers
  11. That was good of them to not make you come back. I've heard stories of being going back 3-4x I had a similar issue where they noticed play in the wheel, put it down as wheel bearings but it was in fact hicas arms, was lucky the mechanic picked it up.
  12. If not Auto Parts Professionals can get them in that day for you. They got front upper inner and outer nolathane R32 GTS-T bushes in that day when I called up, took about 4 hours for them to get delivered, not to mention they were cheaper than anyone else I called. They are on main north road next door to city dismantlers and their number is 8260 2044
  13. Considered hooking a boost controller up to the BOV? You could probably get fairly accurate boost control with it.
  14. I've seen people wearing half face helmets out at Mallala plenty of times, you might get away with it, if not borrow one off one of the 75% of people that aren't racing at the time. I've seen plenty of people lending fire extinguishers and helmets like this as well.
  15. the first 3 digits do properly but the thousands tick over between 4 and 5 Im pretty sure. I guess I can just do some testing and figure it out and itll be good enough for my oil changes.
  16. So my odo meter has been obviously wound back as none of the number line up, was on 75,200 when I bought it, then around 75,400 the 5 rolled over to 76,400 which just doesn't make sense and they are all jumbled and unreadable now, is this fixable? Or would I need a whole new cluster? I'm not really fussed as I bought the car with a brand new rebuilt motor etc and basically everything had been replaced, just means its annoying and hard to keep track of how many kms I've done so I can time oil changes etc, so if its wrong numbers its ok, just would like them to roll over properly.
  17. Why so cheap? Price that cheap will scare most people off thinking the engine is a hand grenade etc. Perhaps provide more details?
  18. It is plausible that they key had a crack and broke off with no effort at all, but they still didn't own up to it and offer any assistance which is the real kicker.
  19. Definitely get free legal advice, document everything you do and send a polite (even though it will hurt you to be polite) letter of demand to regency asking to be reimbursed for the broken key/ignition barrel/tow. Explain in simple but exact terms how it is 100% impossible for you to have started the car in the car park with no key in the ignition. Take lots of photos. This would be an open and shut case if you took them to small claims court (would never get there as they would pay up), the people that provide free legal advice will help you draft a letter up as they are very helpful nice people (been to see them before). Whilst it is probably only $100 to get a replacement ignition barrel its the principle, only take an hour of your day to go visit the free legal advice people in town.
  20. So what happened in the end, did they refund your money or say they would replace the ignition? How did you get it home?
  21. Yeah you'd think by the time the key had bent halfway you'd realise and stop trying to turn it.
  22. Awesome! Mitch borrowed my wheels and regency managed to snap the key off in his ignition so his car is stuck there now. What a bunch of bloody twits.
  23. Could you do a video of a dry by and perhaps in the cabin? I'd love to hear how loud the car is and perhaps even see how it revs.
  24. A lot of skyline drivers get that on 98 so I would be pretty happy if I were you.
  25. How many kms do you get lol, 150? haha
