  1. Nothing has improved for me, I have another bug now as well, all the reply and quote buttons are no longer pictures, they are just text, a lot of the boxes and highlighting appears to be missing as well. Really starting to drive me mad, what have the designers of IP Board said about this? Surely we can't be the only website that is having issues. edit: Actually editing and quoting has magically started working again. I don't get the cursor appearing randomly when I create a new thread however.
  2. Im going to be upgrading my ruined standard shocks + kingsprings (worse combination ever, aweful compared to standard) Now I was considering getting the bilstein sydney kid recommends in his old group buy along with springs and the sway bars, or I was considering tein super street coilovers with 225lb (4kg) springs all around. What setup is going to be better for a daily driven R32 skyline that will see the track every few months. It has some serious power ~240rwkw so I need something that will squat a little and hookup but also that isn't sloppy like the standard springs nor so stiff the rear end just skates all over the road. What setup do you guys think will handle better for my situation? I am looking at spending around the $1000 mark and not much more, both of these kits are around this price, the teins being about $900 and the bilstein combo roughly $1200. Thanks in advance. = )
  3. Why do you want to make it a 2 seater?
  4. Make sure you check all the things meant to be done for compliance have actually been done, eg in my case no rear eye level light and child seat anchor points. The other things that you might think they won't notice (but they will) are ball joints, wheel bearings and bushes in odd places, even bolts missing from dump pipe, exhaust flanges etc will be checked. Check that your front demister works, washers and water in the washer bottle. 80kph written on the spare wheel, no tears or metal showing through the seats. Apart from this everything else that is obvious like completely 100% stock motor fuel and turbo wise, induction mods like pod (if mounted) intercooler are fine but not turbos. All emissions gear needs to be in place as well.
  5. I really doubt there would be any difference, every company is going to go for the cheapest bidder so they are probably almost identical.
  6. Finally found someone selling them at a reasonable price www.bearingwholesalers.com.au For $56, beats the $160-200 all the other wholesalers wanted and $380 nissan wanted
  7. Sweet they had the nolothane ones for $120 and he ordered them in for 3pm today over the phone, great service! Thanks guys.
  8. Oh I meant regarding running the motor in, like whether they run it on mineral oil for 500kms, if they run it in on a dyno blah blah.
  9. Oh I do not doubt this, I am just curious what their method involves regarding kilometres and oil changes.
  10. Sweet I will call them tomorrow, that is by far the best price for urethane bushes. Thanks guys
  11. Its called 'the little shop' ? how do I get in contact with them ?
  12. I wonder how audi/merc bed in their super cars, surely they would have done some ridiculous amount of research into it.
  13. Autbahn want $150 for nolathane ones so I doubt they will be cheaper than them, and that was the whole point, get them cheap.
  14. Yeah can't wait that long, guess I'll just have to fork out.
  15. Just unplug the boost controller when going for an inspection, take you 5-10mins max.
  16. re the above post regency cant tell if you have a nistune as it is an internal mod to the actual ecu.
  17. Even if it is not them they will probably die in the near future anyway so good to get it out the way.
  18. Trust me what I said is what happens. There's no way that an exposed seat rail could pose an electrical hazard, even if it got wired to the ignition coil it would short to the ground pin and never be live. If you get struck by lightening whether it decides to go via you or via the doors is really all that is going to decide if you die or not, whether the seat is exposed won't make a difference.
  19. I've done some ringing around after Unley Nissan quoted me $380 each for rear wheel bearings for an R32. Found that CBC bearings will sell me a complete hub for $109 brand new, am I likely to get wheel bearings cheaper than this anywhere else? I remember for my HR31 them being something like $50-80 so if I could get them this cheap it would be fantastic. Thanks guys and sorry for clogging up the SA forum.
  20. Had some interest but no one has come through with the money. Can I get some feedback guys, is the price to high or is no one actually interested in the turbo timer?

  22. Yeah found that autobahn sell the rubber ones for $54 and everyone else will sell nolathane for $150, super pro seems to be $300 basically everywhere. Might just try and get trade price on nolathane ones, everything else is super pro so I'm not worried about them cracking really. Still don't understand how they can get away charging 10,000% mark-up on bushes. I mean surely urethane costs less than a dollar to make, add on taxes, shipping, packaging, manufacturing and you'd come up to maybe $5-10 max and they sell for $300. The fact that they are less than half price for basically the same setup on an R31 confirms this.
  23. I'm far from an expert on this but I would imagine that it could only make the rings bed in better not worse by 'continuing to run it in'. I imagine however you would obviously cause greater wear on the bores/bearings due to running a shitty mineral oil. Perhaps do a compression test, if all is well then just dump the oil. Definitely wait for someone with some first hand experience to pipe in before doing that though.
  24. I need a set of upper control arm bushes for my R32 skyline, now I rang car torque (normally very cheap and good service) and they quoted me $280 for just the two bits of plastic and $250 if I wanted adjustable ones. Wtf is up with that? Its two pieces of plastic that couldn't cost more then $2-5 to manafacture. I got an entire front end set for $80 for my HR31 skyline from them (8-10 bushes). Anyone know any other suppliers that sell super pro bushes cheaply?
