  1. you are running stock r32 tubo yeah?
  2. Now that I think back I'm not sure how we replaced the stud, perhaps that is where the issue lies, will investigate further when I get the car back, was over a year ago I did the swap.
  3. You just have to replace a stud at the front and then it bolts on, or could be super dodgy and put a nut on the end of it. I bolted R33 everything onto a Neo motor, kept the neo coils + CAS and everything else bolted on no issues.
  4. KK so it could be from the gasket then. My mate offered to change it this week for free! win. Just got a 15% payrise at work with 7 months backpay so I think I will give him a decent lump of cash for it, more of a prick than removing/installin an engine imo.
  5. I bought them a couple months ago, sorry buddy.
  6. It is an R34 NEO rb25det with an R33 S2 intake bolted to it, so I'm guessing the rb26 intake is quite different DVS JEZ? Are there any coolant lines running through the intake manifold on an R33? Or is it air only? If so where would the leak be from? The leak is at the front of the engine, sorry I can't be more specific than that.
  7. My car is currently getting some tuning work done on it and they noticed a mild coolant leak from under the intake manifold, they pressure tested it and it came up fine but it certainly is leaking. I'm guessing the issue is because we reused the intake gasket from the old motor because it was only ~5000kms old. Taking the intake manifold off is a gigantic pain in the ass, I'd say putting an engine in is less work so I want to know is if I use some kind of sealant around the edges where it is leaking am I going to have any success, if so what kind of sealant should I try? I figure it can't exactly make it worse, buy me some time until I can remove it myself.
  8. The wastegate is used to control boost, so the more exhaust gas that is diverted out of it the less that goes through the turbine, eg the less boost the turbo generates, if you make more power (run more boost) then the wastegate will be exhausting a lower ratio of gasses, however you will now be making more gasses overall. It will almost certainly be flowing less as you'll be going from 5psi to 20+ psi but I personally haven't had experience with that size gate/turbo to tell you for sure, if I had to guess I'd say it would be far less of an issue though. My advice is to find a competent and experienced tuner familiar with skyline engines and get them to sort it out for you.
  9. Is it making the expected power? could be something like the exhaust choking it up causing excessive temperatures, too lean tune, heavily advanced timing could also be an issue. I don't know enough about the metals to comment on that side of things.
  10. Why MUST it be a single?
  11. What turbo you are running will make a massive difference to volume. For example I am running a stock rear housing highflow 3" all the way with a single rusted out large oval bodied muffler and it is loud but not super loud. My mate however runs a Gt3076r 0.82 with a 3" and a much better rear muffler and a resonator and it is MUCH louder. So just keep this in mind when comparing exhausts. Imo if stock turbo a single large bodied oval muffler will do the job, if you are going a gt30 sized rear housing then two large bodied oval mufflers are a must.
  12. Hardly anyone runs an aftermarket BOV these days.
  13. Your stock bov is recirculating, so why replace it if it works fine? An aftermarket bov will a) get you defected, b) cause stalling issues and popping as it vents metered air c) cost lots of money d) make everyone think you are a dickhead. So you are basically paying money to sound like a dickhead, get defected and make you car run worse. Seems like value for money I guess? Holds over a bar no problem. Plenty, get a GTR bov if you have issues, they will run 30psi fine. edit: on 18psi with a stock rb25 bov I get a tiny bit off flutter when I back off on a WOT gear change, but it flows plenty for the rest of the time.
  14. You just chop the ignitor off and wire the wires directly to the coils.
  15. lol dont ever take any real drugs like meth then
  16. Still got the AAC?
  17. The AAC is it in working condition and clean?
  18. I had the wrong gasket and it sounded like the worlds loudest fart, it was like a trumpet that made you go deaf on boost. Everyone would look around to see where the gigantic ass was.
  19. The only time they would be useful is if you had to start your car at 5am everyday and piss off the neighbours
  20. Summit Racing RPM Activated Switch Window Switch Each 830452-1 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-830452-1/ Only $52, much cheaper than the MSD ones at $150, just thought you guys might be interested.
  21. Unscrew your O2 sensor for a permanent screamer.
  22. How would you compare them to KU36 in terms of life and grip? I have RSR at the moment and they have lasted almost 10,000kms but the grip was substantially reduced after ~5000km
  23. Yeah you can buy aftermarket controllers that do it, that is just the stock one, it is the ECU that controls it so an R33 will do the same thing if run off an R32 ECU
