  1. How much difference does it really make, has anyone in the same city moved suburbs and had a big jump?
  2. Its going to be fairly hard to get a smooth power delivery when that thing comes on boost, might be able to play with the EBC and get it to come on boost slower smoothing it out a bit at a slight loss of power.
  3. Yep agree with the file mirror thing, the Internode speed test even tells you to do that if you have a fast connection. 2150kb/s here LOL @ 100m exchange on ADSL2+, too bad you need like 5 torrents going to reach that speed.
  4. Yeah its not worth it. Could install it and trailer/tow it there, if you are an RAA member you get a free tow for like 20kms. Just say its broken and they are fixing it.
  5. Thats a very nice GTS2 you have there, does the cop version have any added extras?
  6. Yeah I did CCNA at school for $400, the joys of my school paying for the bulk of it. What do you want to know? Its a peice of piss and to be honest unless you are working with cisco equipment it really doesn't teach you that much.
  7. Cubes out of curiosity do you get anything for that advertising in your sig?
  8. I wonder how hard it would be to find out directly from nissan themselves what the reasons were for fitting a bov instead of sitting here theorising all day, anyone have any good contacts? Just for the record I've got a HR31 with the original turbo still fitted (no bov from factory), its run ~12 psi for half its life and the turbo hasn't gone pop yet. ~115kms That is a load of crap, give one documented example of that happening. Air weighs f**k all, someone worked it out but it was a completely negligible amount, certainly not enough to damage the blades. Put more stress on the bearings/cartridge, yes but how much?
  9. Properties of my computer > advanced system settings > startup and recovery settings Pick the default option (vista) and untick the time to display list, or reduce the time to like 2-3 seconds.
  10. I guess the next question is is that amount of power even usable on the street? If its lighting up 3rd what's the point heh.
  11. I think the biggest thing is running BETTER tyres, have all the size in the world but if its a shit tyre its not going to grip well.
  12. The bigger tyre is always going to give better straight line traction due to it deforming/flexing more then a smaller size on the same rim.
  13. Thats horrible, did you find out what broke?
  14. "Imagine driving on to a glass road and looking up underneath your tyres. This is the example contact patch (in red) for the situation I explained above. The narrower tyre has a longer, thinner contact patch. The fatter tyre has a shorter, wider contact patch, but the area is the same on both." Because you now have more space the weight is less per cm so the contact patch decreases. Of course all sorts of factors change this, eg tyre pressure, how much its stretched etc. Stolen from http://www.chris-longhurst.com/carbibles/tyre_bible_pg2.html They might stretch them but its not ridiculous stretch eg a 195 on a 9.5" rim.
  15. lol eug that black bug you have in your sig gets me everytime.
  16. Most likely missing, do a search on the 5k misfire there's a quite a few threads on it.
  17. Replace all the coils with splitfires and get new plugs @ 0.8mm Next step is to make sure the car isn't running overly rich and this means you need an even better spark to properly ignite the mixture. Ie get it remaped (or aftermarket management) and make sure your sensors are all functioning correctly. If you can't afford this put the stock exhaust back on so run stock boost, this will stop it running it so rich also. A combination of all 3 of these will fix your misfire providing it is spark related. They were when they came out of the factory 20 years ago, now they are getting old and parts start failing.
  18. Read the thread. Motul Excess 8100 has been popular.
  19. Ive rang up ~5 times and been denied everytime for being under 21.
  20. Installing now, will report back if there's any difference.
  21. Got a link to this supposed 50% gain?
  22. My 31 with a redtop rb20det used to get a complete fuel cut for 2 seconds in cold weather, would happen around ~4k on full boost, didn't matter what throttle you were using. Had it remaped as it was running off the scale (~9:1) rich on full boost, anyway since its been leaned out to 12:1 it no longer gets the fuel cut. It also got rid of an awful rich misfire around ~5.5k
  23. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xmDTnnyYgw Another 31 with a modded 20det http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b331/the...ent=Skyline.flv Track hr31 with straight pipe
  24. Not mine but it sounds sick.
