  1. non turbo shouldn't need to be gapped down.
  2. Ive got the same problem, .6mm gap, splitfires and I still get a missfire at 5500rpm, only when its a cold night, however If I give the car a massive beating and have been driving for at least an hour it doesn't misfire. Ideas? It massively richens up around that area as well down to 10:1
  3. Just out of curiosity why would you de stroke it when you could buy a cheaper rb20 block with everything already in it?
  4. And why would you want to do this? It reminds me of the tiger port for a rotary, gives the lumpy brap brap and no power down low without the bonus of added power.
  5. I have never even been pulled over in 3 years let alone got a speeding fine,Just cars are the only company that will insure me that have a premium + excess isn't more then the car is worth.
  6. Ill borrow my mates camera as soon as I can and upload them, prob early next week.
  7. I've got a used HKS blow off valve that I've taken off my RB20 as I'm not a fan of them. Its a single stage one by the looks of it and makes your classic PSSCCHHHHTT noise, really quite loud, nice sound if you are into them. All in working order and does not leak at all so you should experience no stalling issues at all. Willing to send interstate at buyers expensive or local pickup. Putting it up for $100 as I don't really know what they are worth these days but I will take the highest offer. PM me or give me a buzz on <removed> if you are interested can get pictures on request.
  8. Stop smoke!!!! That stuff is like honey man, quick do an oil change.
  9. If its a track car that sees only very high temps then I would imagine it would be ok. But for a daily or sunday driver too thick.
  10. Full ECU if you plan to do injectors and turbo later on. RB25 Turbo with a remap is a fairly cheap option if you dont have big plans, should get around 180-190rwkw with a good remap.
  11. I bet if they put the stock exhaust back on it wouldn't run 10psi though.
  12. Actually you are wrong the gauge is in mmHG x100, while the gauge goes to 7 the needle shouldn't as if it does then you are running 13.5psi Stock it should go about half way to roughly 4 x 100 mmHg
  13. After you put an exhaust on it it will rise, completely dead stock I believe its around 7psi, with full exhaust it will rise to 10-13psi
  14. Oh yeah I was just illustrating that low numbers do not necessarily mean low power but more so the variation.
  15. Bleed valve can only increase boost, can't decrease it. Sounds like you have a crack/split in your waste gate vac line acting the same way a bleed valve does. If its even remotely perished replaced it, if it gets any bigger itll boost infinitely and POP goes your motor. What is odd though is normally the ECU will just fuel cut or the car would start misfiring badly at that sort of pressure, I really would not drive it until you have sorted the issue.
  16. Ive got a dos program that will restore entire partitions provided you havent really done anything since the format. I purchased it a while back but I'll happily email it to you.
  17. Same my rb20 had from 100-105 on all cylinders, most being 105 and it runs fine and is not down on power at all.
  18. By bleed valve I meant boost controller not BOV.
  19. I think at the end of the day this is true, if you are happy it doesnt matter. I recently paid $9k for a HR31 coupe, a lot of people would think Im crazy as I could get an R32 for that price but every man and his dog has one, you see a 2 door 31 and most people go 'I didnt even know they existed' and for the $9k I got something with all the suspension done, exhaust, FMIC, and in immaculate condition. Not one single oil leak and I haven't had a single issue with it. I would happily pay $13k for a mint R32 if it had full susp, tune, wheels and I knew it had a good history and wasn't going to do a bottom end in 6 months time.
  20. Personally Id sell the car and find another 32/33 thats worth whatever your car is + 10k. For something at that price you can have no doubt it will have a fresh motor and most of the susp work done as well. Really you are tipping money away doing it yourself when you can find someone who has already wasted the money and selling it at a massive loss. That's what I'd do anyway.
  21. 11 here. Whats the vacuum reading on idle, that will should tell you if its not calibrated correctly, should be about 20 also do you have a bleed valve? it might be malfunctioning.
  22. Youll still be able to hear them if you plumb them back as well, so you can get the best of both worlds (that is if you like the noise of a bov)
  23. One of my mates is worse, he is in a number 1 clan for Enemy Territory and he has his 'pro gamer' room. The thing is he doesn't look like your typical geek, he has his room with a mini bar, massive tv, all your cool stuff then he just closes the door to the other room if any girls come over. Massive neon case, random monitors and computer shit every where, its hilarious.
