  1. I remember seeing someone using a small car radiator with a big ass pump mounted outside of his room, I think he did it more to show you could but none the less was very cool.
  2. Fouled plugs could mean that the spark is weaker and blowing out, try replacing them and see.
  3. chuck us a pm I might be keen
  4. Sounds like its leaking and you are getting a boost leak.
  5. Im having similar problems, most gears crunch when cold, 4th and 5th always when at high revs, its quite hard to get into and out of gear as well. Really gotta pull on the lever. Im going to do the gearbox fluid anyway but is it possible the clutch just isn't disengaging properly, as even at a standing start its a bit hard to get it into first.
  6. Injector?
  7. If the bleed valve has really long vacuum lines going to it you can experience spiking and creeping. Id get rid of it and just run the standard boost, which with an exhaust will be almost 10psi.
  8. Hmm after thinking about it for a while I think this is what happens, however as the compressor loses speed the vacuum would lessen and then I guess the pressure would eventually equalise by going out the air filter.
  9. #1 - The first rule of Fight Club is, you do not talk about Fight Club. #2 - The second rule of Fight Club is, you DO NOT talk about Fight Club. No shit they search google for the name of the community and track down forum posts, alexa browsing history etc, get your IP and compare it to their active users and ban you for breaking the first rule. I wasn't joking when I said it was elitest. Dont worry man theres no way you can get in unless someone gives you an invite, and not many people get them. I can however give you an invite to supertorrents.org, its pretty good for recent releases and they also maintain banning of users with poor ratios so you get wicked speeds. I've got 4 invites 3 of which I'm willing to give away, if you think you can maintain a ratio of at least 1:1 wing me a PM.
  10. I recently got my bov (silly hks loud one) removed from my HR31 and I have experience no issues except it being much nicer on gear changes as it does not have to build up boost again, it also doesn't backfire as often when changing gears. Can someone answer me this, I dont really understand how a plumback works, Im assuming it plumbs the air from near the TB back into the compressor. What I dont understand is wouldn't the pressure be the same and the air would take the lowest pressure path, out the air filter? I know this clearly isn't what happens, but could someone explain why it is so.
  11. Haha, my ratio is 800/300gig over the last year and Ive gotten a total of 1 invite which I've used. Maybe if I ever get another one. They are pretty elitest though, if you invite someone and they f**k up (shit ratio) you get banned as well. Great system though, get alot of stuff before its even seen on newsgroups and private FTPs etc.
  12. The point is if you want fast torrents do the "right" thing and stay on the torrent, Im part of a private bit torrent tracker where you get banned if your ratio is under .95 and as a result you get an average of 300-1000kb/s on all new releases (movies games tv shows etc)
  13. If you don't turn off your computer or connection you can have the same IP for several weeks anyway.
  14. Gonna vote for node here as well, as time goes on they always offer MORE for your money, never less. Every 6-12 months my limit increases and they offer more services. Awesome reliability, awesome speeds (living 100m from the exchange probably has something to do with this) and zero downtime.
  15. I think the mechanic probably does know what he is talking about, theres about a million threads on dying coil packs on here. You can tell if its your coilpacks by the dyno as the graph will often be very jagged, that and it will miss and backfire around 5000-5500 rpm when you rev it out.
  16. Take it to a tuner and get it done on the dyno, its not safe to do it yourself even unless you have a wideband O2 sensor, even then you have to be careful.
  17. NA rotors actually hate backpressure, you will see the most power running no exhaust at all. They commonly use full 3" systems on big ported NA rotors.
  18. They are an inline six, also I doubt youll get it under $1k
  19. Yes it is. If everything is exactly the same, you drive for x period of time at y revs with 10:1 ratios you will use a certain amount of fuel. You do exactly the same thing with 12:1 ratio and you will make more power AND use less fuel. What do you mean the engine is working overtime? more revs? Im talking about the same scenario where your driving style doesn't change. Of course you are getting worse fuel economy if you have a bigger turbo, a bigger turbo means more air and more air means more fuel. Use some logic next time you reply.
  20. Yes you can, but only from about 5cm away and if you are really looking for it.
  21. Read some reviews on the viewsonic 21" 2025wxm I bought one and it is amazing, its was meant to be one of the best 21s when I got it.
  22. Actually thats the going price these days. Check out www.staticice.com.au The viewsonic 2025 is one I picked up and its fantastic (21" widescreen). Got it for $550 delivered a few months ago.
  23. Or salesmen say it to customers to up sell them
  24. Overclockers Australia www.overclockers.com.au It was primarily an overclocking website but now its a very big forum with a wide variety of areas, motoring, science, sports, current events and of course all the computer related stuff. If your into geeky stuff or endless arguments you'll probably find something to interest yourself there.
