  1. whoops wrong thread
  2. Consult cable and figure out what sensor died. Could be the fuel pump even. Could be about 1 of 100 things, I'd just tow it to a workshop unless you feel like buying all 100 of these parts and replacing them one by one.
  3. So the pod is quieter than the airbox? Man I have always had the opposite effect personally. How did your oil test come up?
  4. It isn't educated if you base it on a bunch of forum comments imo.
  5. Many modifications needed to fit the 26 head? Isn't missing VCT going to be a bit of a killer?
  6. Smashing boxes would indicate the stregnth of the clutch rather than a weakness. Imo that means they are good, the weakest link is what always fails. Though imo smashed boxes are almost always an issue of driving style. More issues reported with JB? How on earth could you know, has there been a poll where the values have been normalised against the number of people buying them? This thread is almost soley about JB so unless you have made an excel spreadsheet with number of comments for and against for all brands and worked out the percentage, chances are your view is greatly skewed. More breakages could simply mean more people are buying them, might still be a lower percentage.
  7. LOL Status what are these ECUs like compared to others on the market?
  8. Does it do it on load or even on no load? Plug a consult cable in and check error code. Until then you are just guessing could be a million different things.
  9. It is a higher group oil I think. I'm not 100% End of the day for what you are doing it probably isn't any better, but you will have the peace of mind of using a better oil.
  10. he said he only has a cannon so stock exhaust
  11. That is what I mean, the bigger turbo doesn't muffle as well.
  12. Turbo actually acts like a massive muffler, can really hear the difference in exhaust note when changing to a big rear housing turbo. Really takes all the crackling and rasp out of the note, is why NA cars always sound like ass in comparison.
  13. If you boost it you risk detonation, however what you can do is leave the wastegate actuator off so you literally can't boost more than 1-2psi by redline, do this.
  14. Freer flowing exhaust (maybe), pod and anything else that makes it flow more than stock will make it run more boost. With a straight through exhaust, FMIC and pod on my rb20det it was running 13psi with no controller.
  15. Someone said you can pull it out enough to do the seal without sump off, or do as I did and just high temp sealant it. Took me 2 hours to pull everything off, stop posting and get pulling apart son!
  16. Silicon around what? If you are going to try and seal something you need to use high temp sealant.
  17. Steam clean the engine bay, take it for a drive around the block, should be obvious where it is coming from.
  18. I did something similar, got a chisel, hit it from one side, then the other side, repeated for 30 minutes until it came lose. Was a total prick of a job.
  19. Sounds like he was exaggerating a tad.
  20. Ah so it comes out enough to get it in there? I tried but it didn't seem like it would loosen off enough, that is good to know for the future though.
  21. Oil pump is a sump off job I hate to say. I had a leaking oil pump seal so just do the high temp sealant on the outside and it fixed it right up.
  22. Was wheel spinning, I only have the stock VLSD which opens up pretty badly now. Had good tyres but they were quite hard from sitting in the shed for almost a year on ~50% tread.
  23. No one is interested so will separate components now, make me a decent offer.
  24. Brutal! Don't drop it any more mate, it isn't a matter of it being too expensive it is just a matter of there not being any buyers looking for something like this at the moment. You just have to wait imo, spent too much to let it go for any cheaper.
