  1. If I had an R33 and was set on the nistune I would do this. rb20det ECU $100 MSD window switch for VCT $150 OR if you need an EBC get an eboost street as this has a window switch built in ~$350
  2. The fact the ECU can be bolted inside the stock casing is a huge advantage. STATUS what is your take on tuning them, how does the software compare to nistune, better? worse? Nothing much in it? What are your thoughts on MAP vs AFM with them, what would you choose?
  3. Read the thread.
  4. Fairly sure the AU onwards has proper double wishbone and IRS suspension so should drive a lot nicer than a EL, especially with some decent bushings/shocks/springs.
  5. Think he is waiting for the builder to put the cams (rb20) in still, pretty busy by the sounds of it.
  6. You seem shocked? People do it all the time.
  7. If it is tuned safely and correctly what chances are there of you popping a stock 25 making 260-70kw anyway? Keep it rich and nice and cool, safe on timing so it doesn't ever det, surely the pistons aren't going to melt if you keep the AFRs down? What are peoples thoughts on making this power on the street? I realise on the track where you are WOT for 75% of the time it could be an issue due to excessive temps, but on the street?
  8. No but it will bolt low mount to the stock manifold with an internal gate and make 300rwkw and look stock which is what he was asking for.
  9. GT3076 with internal gate off stock manifold? No because that means extra lag for no good reason?
  10. lol what do you do lithium
  11. What does make the internal gate so much inferior to external, is it to do with the angles?
  12. That looks like a horribly mismatched turbo, full boost at over 5k on a 3L and torque starts dropping off straight away and it only makes ~320rwkw? What a heap of shit lol. A gt3076 on 18psi would be on song by 3.3k and make ~300rwkw on the same boost on a 3L
  13. How well does a MAP + IAT compensate for varying temperatures. Is it something you have to tweak, or it will get it right from day one?
  14. Why is this a good thing? I never understood everyone's obsessions with MAP sensors, more guessing and less accurate airflow information IMO. Every thread over 100 pages seems to give it.
  15. Yeah, I guess I am just trying to visualise my ultimate setup before I get there. Eg ~300rwkw with as close to a 4k spread of useable power as possible.
  16. Cool thanks for that, a 4k power band is still impressive either way. No doubt, it always seems to in turbo cars, just meant it held decent torque to redline (as peak power was made at 7k). Haha of course, I personally don't have much experience with them, just trying to get my head around the different turbo configs and how they perform. It is my next upgrade when I get bored of my 32 with 25det
  17. You made 24psi at 3300rpm, or they started making decent boost at 3300rpm? Impressive if full boost from 3.3k and makes peak power at 7k, thats a 3.7k spread of useable torque, don't see any turbos on rb25s that make that kind of power spread at >=300kw
  18. Go E85 as well for laughs with injectors to suit. om nom nom
  19. If it weighed 800kg maybe lol
  20. Imagine what those flakes would have done to your engine!
  21. True but with the way his waste gate controller works if you set it at 20psi it would probably bleed down to 16psi. doesn't really matter though I guess, good result.
  22. Just get your money back and tell them to piss off, that's ridiculous.
  23. no resistor pack will burn out the injector drivers, why did you remove it? assuming rb20 ecu + nistune?
