Is This R32 Gtr At The Right Price?
Rob_32_VSPEC replied to djrice's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
All I can say is mine has no rear wiper/ no rear wiper controls (maybe I'm sitting on a N1!....I wish!... I have factory air etc) Picture attached. Also attached is a picture of promo ad with a R32 Vpec....looks like it may have no wiper on that one either! Athough, disregard the bilsten shocks comment, I thought it was as I seem to recall that is what I have (on a pretty unmodified car) I can't seem to find anything support the tie with bilsten shocks / Vspec on the net anyway. WTF, 3-4k wouldn't come anywhere near the replacement value with larger rotors, Brembo package, genuine BBS rims, Pull type clutch setup, ATTESSA-PRO, and the firmer suspension setup. I doubt any V Spec owners would separate from the above factory package components for a mere 3-4k. If any would, pls PM me, I've been chasing some spare V Spec rims for years! -

These are figures spouted repeatly around the net. The "400 only" sounds like it may be confused with the N1 release. In total 40,390 standard BNR32 GT-Rs were produced, with only 6% of production dedicated to V-spec issue- • 1,453 V-Spec • 1,303 V-Spec II In later models such as the R33 series, ‘V SPEC’ models were in such demand that ‘V Spec’ production increased to over 40% of total series production. R32 GT-R numbers in Australia have certainly increased with private imports over the past 10 years to become almost quite common on Australian roads. Yet a ‘V Spec’ R32 is still a very rare find, (even in Japan). Being just 6% of production makes it "exclusive". Of course you can modify a base R32 GT-R to handle as good or better than a V Spec, yet it dosen't make it a V Spec. The market today still supports this theroy, hence the higher price they command. Highly modified cars have a low return on additional investment (that's the nature of cars). At the end of the day, it just depends on your purpose / intention for GT-R ownership. -

V-Spec Factory Features over a standard GT-R •17 inch Aluminium BBS mesh rims with 225/50 tyres •Brembo brakes (four-piston) with ventilated 324mm discs up front and two-piston 300mm discs in the rear •Firmer suspension setup (bilsten shocks) •Electronically revised all-wheel-drive system (ATTESSA-PRO) The ONLY difference between the V Spec and the V Spec II in a R32 is that;. * V-spec II actually had slightly wider tyres at 245/45 * The V-spec II had a boot decal Other stuff? * Boot lip (under the wing) often seen in pictures,... yet mine dosn't appear to ever had one * Also mine has no rear window wiper Maybe optional from factory? -

From the owner of a V Spec R32..... The R32 V Spec II was not released until Feb 1994 so something is suss there. Be aware it is common to practice find false claims on V Specs. Even if it was a 'V Spec' I wouldn't bother with one unless it retained the original BBS rims, as this is one of the few 'trademark external features' I beg to differ with the above advice...a comparable condition V Spec IS worth $10k more than a non-V Spec in the R32 series. However if your main purpose is power via major modifications then save the outlay expense and go the non V Spec option. I believe a rare R32 V Spec or VSpec II will hold value propably better than any other GT-R. -
The photo during the slab construction was months ago. But still I did get the shed company to do the install. Only took them a couple of days (2 guys) I suspected it would of taken me much more.

LOL my wife said 'NO' too!

Hmmm yummy...

It'll never be a 'public place' as I always been quite secretive where my car resides. I assume most GTR owners are like this? However ....those that I come to know and trust would be welcome. As a facility it can hold a number of cars in the apron asphalt carpark. It is on acerage (so anyway parking isn't a problem) and it can't be seen from the road. The shed is currently being used for storage until we build a house. Hence the workshop side of things may not be set up for a while. I'll get some current photos tommorrow...it's a 3 bay + workshop colourbond shed (4m high), the floor has just been finished....2 pack epoxy grey, floor lights in the slab at hoist area, mezzanine floor over workshop, 3 phase power and fluro lights installed. My crowning feature will be a 2m "NISSAN " fluro dealership sign (90's style logo) Shud be very cool.

Note, Skylines only!

I've had it with jacks and stands. I'm going the car hoist in the shed at home. Seriously. The shed floor has already been built to accomodate one of the latest models of infloor twin scissorlift car hoist. I hope to have it all done in the next few months. Benefits; * Lifts from frame suspending wheels * No car too low. (complety flat flush drive-on-off) * Fits in small area (3m ok, no need to increase the width of my shed as a 2 or 4 post would of) * quick prep for lift * No posts. No hitting car doors against posts. Easy in and out of car at no and low lift. * Lifts car 1.9m * When down, people wouldn't even know you had a car hoist. Very tidy. Costs - $6k inc install. Some photos attached of these hoists in action in workshops and my own shed floor being constructed.

Hmmm ...orange lambo...can't be many of those in brisbane. I got to sprint with one on the gateway north of the airport . Unfortunately we had a little too much traffic and it pulled off at the bondall exit. (This was some months ago) Same lambo? Recall a silver R32 GTR?
-
Possibly be available...PM me should a silver R32 GTR make your day.

Some good advice, but your missing the point here. It's not about the speed or what the qld transport dep has in it's computer with code 2500 or 2501. The cop has nominated the penalty as $2.50. This ticket is unaltered and I'm prepared for the transport dep to go back to cop's own original issue to verify. Maybe the cop should have used your computer, rather than putting in a dash. I'm not paying over the counter as I wouldn't expect qld transport service centre staff to have any authority or be it access to the original.
-
No joking...others that I've shown the 'hard-copy' to agree it sides more as $2.50.

Ok, owned pretty much nothing but V8's or turbos for 14 years and get my first speeding ticket for doing 80km/hr on the gateway e-toll lanes (60km/hr bit) in a little toyota echo on the weekend. How ironic. They where positioned off on the staff entry northbound at the start of the bridge after the toll plaza in an unmarked car with a speed gun. Late night, no traffic, they must of been making a packet with that location. No doubt just picking off the juicy ripe plus 15km/hr targets. I'm a responsible driver yet this does little for my respect of police priority with blatant revenue raising over targeting spots that influence reducing the road toll. Straight up these officers were unnecessarily arrogant and rude. I can just image what these tools would of been like had I had I been in the GTR!! Anyway, to why I'm sharing this event..... to my surprise the fine nominated (to me) reads $2.50! Me thinks they intented more!!! Photo attached. Is this now MY sweet revenge? Anyone with experience in these matters??

Not needed on the 'come and try' days. Nor is a CAMS licence.

It's no Bathurst.

I've done it. I wouldn't say this track is exactly suited the power and weight of a GTR...I'm unsure wheather I entered 3rd gear apart from the back straight downhill for barely a few seconds. The track is very narrow, has very little straights and the corners are super tight. Up in the hills it is completely unforgiving...make a mistake there and it's your car vs the rock wall or gard rail. Not a good track to learn from your mistakes! Walk the track first...take time to note the scrapings and hits on the rock walls by truely experienced drivers in lightweight performance cars. The variance in topography has some makings for a great drive, yet for a GTR this track is just not big enough (which is evident in the lap records)
