if we can get a few people maybe we should make a meetup night from time to time....moe maccas?? or somthing like that.

i know there is another old thread for this, but its hasnt been posted in since jan, and before that.. like 12 months. anyway, im in drouin, drive a 33. looking for others to meetup/cruise with from time to time... cheers.

so basically your saying that the more minor cruises are not mentioned on the main calender? more on the private member forum?. im still trying to get used 2 victorias car scene... its much smaller then what im used 2. i used 2 cruise almost every friday night and sunday up in nsw, weather permitting. btw, i also know you.. sorta from r31skylineclub.. i used 2 own a passage GT which i sold 12 months ago to a guy in melb and bought a 33, my old housemate also owns SVD097 aka Jono on the 31 forums been to a few meets up in nsw.

if you actually remove the plumback pipe from the std rb25 bov, it is actually open at idle just like this setup. if you infact watch this other video, it works. the whole point of it being open is to allow more free flowing air into the engine before boost. if you think about it as he shows you, the turbo adds an air flow "restriction" when the car is off boost thus downgrading your throttle response. NOTE: it would only work if you have a plumback setup for the air being released from the bov to pass back through the AFM, or either plumback or non-plumback for MAP sensor ecu's.

i realise this, but after looking through the event clender.... it a bit of a waste this year as theres nothing i would attend... i like to cruise... my car is auto... not built for track, although it could if i threw a manual in, plenty of supporting mods.

i would come as im interested in joining the club(not long moved to vic) but its a bit of a hike for me atm, as im living in west gippsland. lol

i have splitfires in my R33, 230rwkw(with an auto) and havent had any issues after more than 12months.

did anyone else see it?? im not sure where it was i only caught a bit of it, but it looked pretty nasty.

as much as i like victorias "get a RWC when u puchase a car" idea... there is far 2 many cars down here that are not safe to drive. im from nsw originally, 25yrs up there and 2 yrs down here. As much as i hate to say it i think victoria needs to bring in yearly safety inspections like nsw. Basically before you can re-register your car you need to have it inspected by an authorised inspector and passed as safe. i live out in gippsland and i can tell u now theres atleast 30% of the vehicles ive seen shouldnt be on the street, that would compensate for removing bad vehicles off the street. I also 100% agree with more driver training, nsw and vic alike sound like they are the same with the very minimal driving lessons and experience to obtain a license. i think a big issue with some people is that they dont respect thier vehicle as a weapon, nor do they respect speed. I feel that speed is not the killer, its the people who have minimal experience in driving, and want to "test out the car" or push it to its limits, unfortunatly they are to unexperienced and push it beyond its capabilities, before they know it, they are dead along with their mates. In the midst of all of this, the rest of the sensible drivers who are passionate about thier car and thier mods, have it stuck is a damn garage at home in fear of getting singled out as a hoon, and picked on by the police. so i agree with what has been said, bad cars should be taken off the road, more driver training should be put in place, and the speeds should be raised. instead of punishing everyone and creating a massive group of rebellious car hoons, who get a kick out of disobeying the law and endup costing someone thier life. cheers.

Mods Turbo back 3" mandrel stainless exhaust VG20 Ballbearing turbo on 14.7psi Pod Filter Shift kit and high pressure oil pump in the auto box Turbosmart incabin boost controller Lowered in the rear Evo 3 Front mount DRFT Titanium/stainless muffler Things to be fixed: New Rear main seal in the engine $ not sure Lower control arms(needs new) $115 each Thermostat $ i have no idea.. $15 maybe? the car runs a bit hot..so it could use a new one Shifter bar needs to be straightend..wont go into park, no money involved i would have fixed it but i havent had the time thats about it...apart from that car needs a new boost guage because the one i had busted so...
