Its all been done before.They are EFI to start with so aftermarket is easy.There is a 9sec Gemini in Australia with the Turbo 2.6.if it cost about the same your better of cause you have a reco motor not a 2nd hand import.
Is getting hard to buy a bad ECU these days but no shortage of poor tuner's.We tune any ECU and find all get us what we need just some are more user freindly than others.
Heat! Your gate will loose tension with heat and gets worse with age.
Good quality EBC's are the way.
When I run cars with bleed valves or basic EBCs (many are just electric bleeds pulsing faster or slower to control boost but without and MAP sensor to chase a set pressure)on the Dyno boost drops each run as heat builds up.

Yor engine builder should be checking the comp ratio after all the machinings done(Before also) to work out whats needed to get the final ratio right.No 2 engines are quite the same specialy after machining.
If your builder does not doing these kind of checks get out fast.
