  1. The car will be going early next week so ill post the dyno graphs,It has HKS 2530s i think thier the only thing that may save it.

We have an Ex Zoom GTR from Vic in bits now that has RB30ET pistons, Now this has to be a nastie low comp ratio.Worst part is we have to re use the pistons as the owner only wants to replace the bearings. Its going to be interesting to see how laggy this thing is. If you use the CP pistons its easy to get your machine shop to get you 8-1-8,4 to1 comp.
  3. Peak HP is not the fast way down a 1/4 as many GTRs running low 10s have smaller turbos and less peak power than many running high 10s low 11s.Big fat power curves make fast cars.Ask Dirtgarage his car is proof of that.
  4. My Dyno makes the same power in 3rd as it does in 4th.Tractive effort at the wheels is the only change it should make.
  5. Theres a very well built one in WA so it can be done.
  6. The one we just did with CPs with a minor machining of block and head faces for reco using a stock Nissan head gasket ended up at 8.3-1 using an RB25 head.About as low as you would ever want for a street engine but higher comp would be easy.
  7. Has anyone used Garrett 2560-10s yet? I want to use a pair in my wifes Tomei 2.8 thats slowly happening but would like some feed back before i make up my mind.Yes i know everyones going to suggest a big single but a GTR is twin turbo in my mind and will stay that way. I care not for Drag racing ,Track is the place the car will be used.
  8. Get rotational idle and cams that work on the street.
  9. Ive seen T88 34Ds make huge gains after 25+psi as they come into their peak flow,Dont know about other ppls experiances but their not to good at lower boost so i think you have a lot more power to come. Good start anyway and good luck with it.
  10. Best method is to pull number1 coil and put a plug lead between the coil and plug and use the timing light on that.Datascan will let you lock the timing so you can adjust the CAS with a stable ign output.
  11. He was very lucky.Brad stripped the motor and all was well.Still had 20psi. Stagea's only have oil light but lucky Brad fitted a gauge.
  12. You need the timing light to make sure the cas is in sync with the ecu
  13. I think you will find you have a blank off plate under the factory BOV. Seen many like that.
  14. Some Rbs do make 180+rwkw,did one this month that made that kind of power and it ran 13.0@180ks so the power was quite real.China cooler, cat back and Safc. As for Air temps, the probe goes next to the air filter and there can be a huge differance in temps from exhausts etc.If this was not true no one would make cold air intakes.
  15. Get a 2nd opinion from another shop.You should be at around 250rwhp.

  18. A WA GTS ran 13.0 at 180ks 2 weeks ago with the same mods as you but with an SAFC so practice should get you there.
  19. Never seen a flow test on an RB20 but the CA18 head outflows an SR20 head on a top WA bench and the same results from a good Vic head shop. Anyway why compare SR v RB20 when RB20s can have a 25 or 26 fitted where they are? then its no contest.
  20. You can use the off the self Wolf and use the in built MAP sensor or MAF and includes boost control etc for $1395. AP version PFC for R32 direct plugin for about $1500+EBC Or use an R33 GTS or an R32-33 GTR ECU with a few easy mods for about $1000 + EBC. Any of these will give good results if you have a good tuner.

  23. Find out if theres a good tuner in your area and see what they can use. Both are good.
