  1. Yes its current 2006 full package,Im getting it rechecked as cars that have been on other dynos have read lower on mine and as its roughly the same margin between Xspeed and Hyperdrive making me think is my Dyno thats off.

If an airfilter has 30deg higher than ambiant then we still have to put the probe at the filter,its in the guidelines.HIPSI can check the temp difference on this car but i think its about 16deg.Wildcats cars 300rwhp was backed up on another dyno (Hyperdrive i think) My Dyno seems to be one of the lowest reading at the moment with an average of 8 to 10% less than Xspeed and Hyperdrives Shootout graphs so im getting it checked as Dyno dynamics are in town for the show this weekend.Ill post the result.
  3. It has a stock turbo for sure.Wait for the next SAU Dyno day at Hyperdrive to see what power it has.The power curve is quite good so it may just do a good 1/4 run. As i said before i had nothing to do with this cars power.
  4. Ceramic wheel in there.Dump raised boost to 15.5psi thru the mid and 12 from 6200 up so we dropped it back to 12.5 thru the mid with boost falling to 11psi thru the top as Skylines do. Better mid power but no different up top. Power 299.1rwhp @ 11-1 afr still going over 300 @12-1 but the topend timing hits 22deg from 6500rpm being the reason it picks up 10-15hp but we dont want that much timing so its time for an ECU because we all know leaning out an SAFC also adds timing. Dont know why this car is better than average but the owner says its quicker than other more modifyed R33s and i spose thats more of a test than a Dyno run.
  5. Yes its common even on hipo engines without antilag. The turbo you have is good enough without antilag anyway. Thought you sold it?
  6. Im not sure what the maximum lift is on other brands as we use Tomei.
  7. Michael, Your factory manifold will bend and snap the rear manifold studs in the head.
  8. Many other brand cams use stock buckets.
  9. Its been running its current power for a long time so i cant imagine a dump pipe hurting it.Most hiflows still use steel.
  10. 2 wont flow 330ps, one will so 660 is the claim,Garret 2560s will do the same for a lot less money tho prolly not quite as good but would be close also leaving the extra money saved for other supports.
  11. I dont recommend shims that thick just pointing out thats about what you will need- Thats The reason Tomei make the buckets.
  12. We will see tomorrow if the dump helps but the ECU was the weak link last time so im not sure it will.Will get the magnet on the exhaust wheel and see if it sticks.
  13. Trans brake is as tough as any launch can be.Seen 9.1 in a near 1300kg car with a well setup auto with only 420rwhp.Usual chassis setup for racing also.

R34 NEO head is a newer generation head to meet newer emission rules and is much more prone to knock than R33 heads,Put both side by side and see the much lower combustion chamber in the R34,S15 200SXs are the same.Ive seen these engines run as little as 8deg of timing at 1 bar,Bout 1/2 an R33s timing

  18. Spose the next SAU dyno comp will be the test for this car? Will run about 300 as is and 313 with the fuel taken out again on say Hyperdrives dyno in shootout.We should have a new dyno by the time the dump gets fitted so we can see what it does on that.
  19. The R33 we killed the Auto in is now getting a race glide with trans brake etc,Glides can be built to handle around 3000hp.Raceglides start at about 2k inc adaptor plate for RBs.
  20. HKS yes shim, if you go the big Tomei's you will need buckets.
  21. Large cams on RB26 needs machining of the head to clear the cam lobe,the springs are correct but need to be setup right mostl needing shims under the springs to get the correct seat pressure.You could get a custom made set of shims but at about 13mm you would have trouble. Valve guides also become an issue. GTR heads must be setup by a machine shop that knows what their doing.If you are not going for 700hp+ look to Pon cams.

VLT Jatco built by someone that knows them will handle the power and dont need to have any input from the engine ECU.Theres a car in WA thats done strong 10s with a Jatco using many Ford C4 race parts. We tryed to put 500+rwhp thru a built Skyline Jatco 2 weeks ago,Box failed after 2 power runs. Most Drag cars are Auto.
  23. You must have a problem as theres a lot of ppl running 400rwhp with stock GTR injectors.
  24. Should be able to get an idea on the Turbo with the dump off.Steel exhaust wheel for example.
  25. Same turbo as your car Nathan but small turbosmart gate.
