  1. I just finished a 2JZ with a HKS T04Z today (same bore stroke as RB30) The engine is stock as is the Auto trans,I tuned it very soft to keep it alive, it was quite hard to get it under 500rwhp at gate value and it is very strong early.
  2. If you have a nice stable consistant wastegate then their good but if not use an EBC with its own MAP sensor.

  11. Because the support is only 30mm belowthe new deck but Hondas etc the deck is open all way to the base of the block.
  12. Theres some nice kits for the open deck Honda engines(steel inserts) and i spose there is for Subs but thank god Nissan never did this with RBs etc.
  13. 2871 has a T2 flange,2535 or 2540 Skyline bolton will do your job. Send your Wolf to AEM for the latest upgrades for free.Very good upgrades. Give me a call and ill give you the details.

  19. Factory ECU.Plug in a Scan tool and you can see the timing move and as you have no tunability on R33 ECUs you cant correct it.This is the time for an aftermarket ECU.
  20. The last post is so correct.Seen many shopping list engine packages with about a 50% success rate.
  21. Check everything else first,ECUs are quite reliable these days.
  22. Whats a worry is their setting up a short course for new builders,Zero to home builder in a matter of weeks?The standard of building is shocking now imagine whats to come?
  23. Always set to manufacturers spec's with dial gauge and degree wheel. Never guess.
  24. Back to the basics,Im sure there not stock but they sure look untouched. NEO engines have nastie combustion chambers for polution reasons and will ping at less timing than an R33 RB25. Some shops are not aware the NEO head is different,A few weeks ago a shop removed the head of a NEO fitted to an R33 finding it looked different told the guy the head was an NA head and had to be replaced. So yes theres lots of misinformation around. Some strange things have happend to new cars like in the early 70s Fords GTHO Phase 4 was shelved by the government (AS were GM etc) so ford stuck some parts on a 2 door falcon and tagged it RPO87 the rest ended up in ZF Fairlanes without the new owners ever knowing and over the years we saw stockers with Noddy iron 9in diffs winged sumps and 4V heads with 780cfm Carbs etc so who knows what may have happened with these cars,Prolly modded very early in life by very carefull mechanics?
  25. Tuning with SAFCs should be done with scan tools as the fuel changes you make have effect on the timing also.
