  1. All 3 fit, 26 seem to be the better gasket.
  2. Many reasons its hard to start but a good Jap import shop will sort it fast.
  3. Use genuine Nissan RB26 gasket.Could use a metal one but your combo does not need it as the bottom end would break before the Nissan gasket.Do not buy a cheap aftermarket factory style gasket tho
  4. VVT is turned on at low revs and off at about 5500. Your tune must be out as the Turbo your using is a very good bit of kit. Fix your boost control and review your tune.
  5. Dont use the risistor with stock RB20 injectors its only needed if you use GTR or other low impedance injectors.
  6. Both are a great unit so go for the cheapest,Once you know how to set them thier easy to use.
  7. HKS 2535 bolton if you can find one is the perfect opyion.
  8. Pro head shop have flowed ported heads that flow worse than standard,Did you use a well proven head shop?
  9. ITS61 Turbo@19psi Wolf plugin ECU 256 HKS cams. Arias pistons This is the street tune with the race tune coming. Wide power band was the aim for this car.
  10. N1 block is not thicker its very much lighter than the standard block. N1 blocks running over 650hp crack a lot sooner than standard blocks. I have cracked N1 blocks at work.
  11. N1 block is not thicker its very much lighter than the standard block. N1 blocks running over 650hp crack a lot sooner than standard blocks. I have cracked N1 blocks at work.
  12. Just tuned one with an aftermarket ECU without major problems. Just had to have a lot of boost retard.
  13. This has been a real bad thing for Jeff,The engine is stuffed and has had some dodgy work done on it in the past. Not a nice start to GTR ownership but Stevie lee is knocking it into shape.
  14. 26 head is easy.Get your machine shop to tap the block for the bigger studs, linkage mounts up very close to the same but the 25 cable is longer so it looks ugly looped so just use a GTR cable.Over all the 26 head is easyer then the VVT head.
  15. Methanol dont like to mix with petrol but does mix with water.
  16. Good luck finding a company to test or fix the PFC in Australia, I tried get one fixed for months.
  17. Why would you got to all the effort of solid cams and leave the ECU stock?
  18. Hey todd your DR is Porn anyway.
  19. Im not sure anyones got this setup to work?
  20. The correct piston is avalible so why not use them.CP and Arias are on the self(Rocket have sold out of Arias but in stock again soon)
  21. RBs are easy to fit with very minor work but L28s are still a great motor and proven in decades of racing so thing along those lines. Good to see old skoolers coming out,Cant wait to do my 1973 240K 2door.
  22. Like this.
  23. Just make sure no one sells you RB26 pistons as RB30 twin cam pistons as many companys do.Use a piston made for the job like CP and Arias. RB26 piston sits way down the bore and thats very dodgy. We are building 30s now using CP pistons that are made for the job and their working very well.Ross is one piston thats sold as an RB30-26 piston that is really an RB26 piston and its a long way from the right piston for the job,5mm or so down the bore. RB30 etc crank oil pump drive extensions are cheap in WA now, cheapest in the country and done very well. Theres really not many down sides to RB30-25-25 engines these days as there well catered for now,I have had 2 gearboxes fail on the dyno in high output 30s but the OS cross mission gear set is lasting.

Both HKS and Garrett are a safe bet now days.
