  1. Yes if its done right its ok and all pumps cut off when the engine stops.
  2. An adaptor plate is easy as most bolt holes are the same. I have an RB25 in at the moment with GTR manifolds and twin 25/30s and all is well.
  3. Tomei etc is your only option for ready to go engines at that power output.
  4. I ment 10.7 as Ants best pass to date was with a Wolf. And i ment Dannys car not being a good test example as its turbo is not a standard GT42.
  5. Take it back to your tuner.
  6. Most of the AEM dealers have the base maps and the cost is no higher than any other ECU.
  7. Funny how some shops will claim more power from one ECU to another. All ECUs will make the same power if the timing, fuel, turbos, intake etc are the same. Note that its also the only graph not in full shootout mode. The history of the 581hp car makes it a poor example as its had a few GCG turbos and GT42 cartrage in GCG housings and many engine builds plus 3 different ECUs and a best of low 12s at the drags, tho the Wolf that it was lending has done the fastest GTR pass in WA to date at 10.7. Still looks like the TO4Z is the best street strip turbo at the moment.
  8. Its time more tuners work out how to use this ECU as it does have a lot to offer but many ppl are scared of by the amount of functions it can do. Download the software and take a look. www.wolfems.com.au
  9. CAS- knock sensors-temp sensors-AFM's-Inatke manifold gaskets etc is a good starting point.
  10. I have one on my wifes GTR and WA has many with them. OK one large problem thats shared with all MAP sensored ECUs on multi throttle engines is the map signal pulses so it takes a tuner with experiance with these setups to get close to right(always will be a compromise)but the results are still good. Single throttle conversion works very well and shows good power gains also.Give me a pm if you or your tuner need help.
  11. Not all Jatcos are mechanical, only tough mechanical is the VLT box. All Jap nissans us Jatco box's some are little toys.
  12. Be carefull of net recommendations for shops,Go to all of them and see for your self what we have to offer.
  13. All depends on what your after,2500 for manual coversion +2500 for a good twin plate sure adds up,As R33s only cost about 15k now thats a 3rd of what the cars worth.Race prepped autos are still the best way down the 1/4.
  14. Noise is a funny one,How can they sticker us for noise when they let Harley Davidsons get away with it?
  15. I fitted the first ever Wolf plugin (was the proto type) to an R33 GTS auto around 2001 and this car still has had no trans problem. The car is around 300rwhp and was a daily driver city car but for the last 2 years has been in the bush driving from margaret river to busselton evrey working day. For the WA ppl this was Grant from PER4MANZ Turbos car and now belongs to Jamie wholagan and many would know he spares no car.
  16. I had no problem over the pits with 10inch rims on my wifes R32 GTR or twin Atmo BOVs .pods ,and even the catch can so i guess its the inspector on the day to a large extent.
  17. Nissan autos are Jatco but the toughest Jatco to start building with is the VL commodore turbo box and it needs no input from the ECU.
  18. Yes it can and has been done often.
  19. PFC does not allow for adjusting closed loop at the level most other ECUs do.
  20. First get the engine well checked over inc Oil sample testing etc before spending big on its bolt ons.
  21. Dive the Swam wreck.
  22. The stock FJ low mount is a very good manifold and easy to modd for exturnal but at $200 why bother modd a stocker.
  23. No stand alone ECU works with R34 auto yet so Emanage or other piggy backs is it for now.
  24. We fitted an N14 Pulsar twin setup to an R33 and used the aftermarket ECU to switch it.370rwhp with no problems. The Fan on the passanger side needed to be unbolted from its mount and refitted to the same bolt holes but moved to the front of its mount to make more room for the power steer pump.
  25. I just fitted an RB25DET to a Ceffy and fitted a Wolf R33 plugin ECU using the stock Ceffy wiring.Needed to fit R33 injector plugs and if it still had VVT you would need to run the VVT wiring but our car had Tomei RB20 cams. Take 1 hour max.
