  1. Get hold of an AFR meter somehow and only make small changes. As an SAFC is only a signal bender for the MAF taking out fuel is done by making the ECU think its under less load, the ECU then delivers the fuel needed for that load,BUT it also delivers the timing for that lesser load meaning more timing. When im tuning SAFCs and have to make large changes I plug our Scan tool into the ECU and monitor the delivered timing often having to leave a richer than ideal AFR but that is the safest method.
  2. No need for oval plug Densos but needed with earlyer type.
  3. Just about every comment about shops made on here is made by ppl that have had nothing to do with the shop they bag. No wonder most of the old skool SAU ppl have gone now.
  4. Never seen an RB20 rod fail at any power out put as long as a good oil supply is kept up to them.
  5. Wolfs have just updated the 3D plugin and it really is delivering the results.Their closed loop is working very well and have the inputs for you to add an Air temp sensor all helping to get good ecomomy and drivability. Top racing and Wheelspin for Wolf in WA.

  7. Does your cars boost spike? if so that can cause this to happen and yes a good boost controller can help this problem.
  8. I think any shop would beat $120 if you want a good filter not an expencive brand name tho K&N is both.
  9. SR ARP bolt fits the RB25 Rod,They only list 1 part number in Australia for the VG. ACL race bearings are working well in Australia but would not be in the US i say.Get StageZilla to send you a set with the Rods.
  10. VG30 ARP bolts will fit the GTR rods,The wristpins are the same. There is nothing needed to use GTR rods but a balance job is a good idea.
  11. Just grab a set of USA made Eagle rods,$800 in AUSTRALIA So USA price would be very low.
  12. The best Machine shop in WA is Sweeting and Denny in Belmont. Has been for Decades.
  13. It depends on what ECU you have.
  14. I saw an R34 rb25 running 278rwhp and a rev limit of 7500 snap a rod after 2 years and yes they have the same rod as an R33. Never seen a snapped RB26 rod even at very high power outputs.
  15. Many MAP sensored GTRs also run Single throttle bodys,Then you dont have the problem anymore plus a good gain in HP.
  16. The rods do break just above the oil squirter boss. In Australia Dyno dynamics and Dyno jet are often not even close.
  17. Their turnout at MC last weekend proved their support in WA,Around 60 cars for the day with most being happy customers.
  18. I had a GTS in last week that reads 95 no matter what we did with it,We even backed the CAS of as far as it would turn dropping power from 320rwhp to 246 ,Still 95 knock count, fuel is at 11.5-1 and 16psi with a HKS 2540 turbo. We changed knock sensors, put a remote knock sensor on and it did not ping.so we upped the timing using the remote counter till it had a light ping and the PFC still read 95. So this leaves me thinking dont ever trust the knock readout alone.
  19. BP have been flatout with 98 deliveries today.
  20. Tomei stuff is not bad value now days so look into it. Top Racing in Perth sell Tomei.
  21. So far theres no excuse for the cracks but the bore clearance is correct.
  22. Some plugins have timing down to 0.35 degree now.
  23. Most good shops are busy and will take a long time. DALCOS in welshpool are very good but will take a long time to get it done.
  24. All 3 do interchange.Tested all 3 found no real advantage with any of them.
