This is a sweet car and i think WA's fastest RB20?

Its a real tough job in the car but can be done but usually ends up with oil leaks. Also be aware that early RB26s have short oil pump drive flanges and using aftermarket pumps is not a good idea with out fitting the JUN drive kit or getting Sweeting and denny etc to mod the nose of the crank(engine out-crank out)

Matt smiths RB30DET is a very basic motor with very small cams etc yet so strong and running 11.6 while having to feather the throttle down the track to try get traction was proof to me how good the 30 combo can be. This motor gets a real beating and seems to take it with no effort so i now think the RB30DET horror storys are just that. This motor was built by Wheelspins Steve lee for PER4MANZ running a single ITS turbo.Matts only running modest tune as the gearbox cant cope and the car was build for drifting so who knows its full potential. Costs of these are much the same as any other RB tho the rods are cheaper than whats avalible for 25/26s and the cam belts easy now and all the normal RB extras like oil pumps etc are the same.In a GTR remember that you have the costs of the sump addaptor but even thats cheap on SAU now.

Yes it did Glen proving HP means very little.Steve Lee puts together a mighty engine so i cant wait to see this GTS on drag rubber. The one thing ive seen working with trev cars is how little it takes to run fast like the white L34 Torana(Full street trim etc) at last fast friday, ran 10.9 on treaded tyres with 383rwhp but was over a very broad band.

Matt Smiths 11.6@200ks was a tough pass on old street radials, Must be close to WAs fastest R33 GTS.Wish they had used the new slicks they had.

The combo im talking about was the one from PER4MANZ Turbos and revs far better than i thought it would making it a very entertaining thing to drive. CMP and others can supply the kit. The car tjs talkin about has 2540s and i here PSI tuned it so Brett would be worth talking to.

There is Forged pistons and rods ready of the shelf for this job now so the cost has come down a lot for for this combo.Mat smiths power and torque curve is crazy with this setup making for a very fast but highly drivable combo.

DOTARS will be very happy with Dannys shop and ethics and i dont know of any other importers that have the garrantys that he offers. I have been amazed with his attention to detail with his cars.I spose thats what the new rules are there for.

The Falcon ones have the same stud pattern but you need spacers for caliper clearance. GM one totally wrong. I use the Ford ones for Drag slicks.

I have a manual front cut about to land and we are only using the motor so all the manual bits will be avalible.

You can use the RB25 sump with minor mods.Cheaper and easyer than cutting up the GTR sump. Steve maitland at Maitland performance fabricators does this job for me so you can ring him.

The real problem is the net itself as ppl think they can hide behind their keyboard but we are lucky that Dan and Liz work hard to keep this to a minimum. Mikey you were only a young enthusiastic guy that wanted to learn as much as you could as fast as possible and thats not a bad thing but it can get draining but thats life and those of us from shops that posted info on here have to understand young guys are going to ask lots of questions.
