  3. This last post is a WA dickhead that knows no better.
  4. SR20 use the same big end bearings as RB25-26 and are easy to get in many brands so get 2 sets of the best brand you can buy if you are grinding the crank, if not remember nissan cranks are graded and you must get the correct size.Gradings are stamped on the front counter weight.
  5. F355 Ferrari had 8 butterflys but the later more powerfull 360 has gone away from it..yes i know theres more to its extra power than the throtles but its a part of it.
  6. Multi throttles is old hat and race teams know the problems they cause and have slide and barrel setups to now. Wol,f Autronic and Motec all have TPS V MAP for the pulsing problems in tuning but they cant solve the turbulance and restriction this old skool setup causes in ports and as modern multi throttle setups cost HUGE single is next best. My tested opinion but feel free to have your own.

  8. What is the piston speed of an RB25 at 9000rpm and an RB30 at 7500rpm? ETC ETC.
  9. I do replace a lot of failed AFMs on GTRs.
  10. Rear 1/4 panal rust and rust around windows when removed have been the main problem i have seen with 89 GTRs.
  11. Works well and Greddy even sell it as a kit but for 1000hp i'd look to the Jun plenum and single throttle body.

  14. If you need more than a PFC then its not what you need.Have you seen what a PFC can do with datalogit?
  15. I still buy them thru Nissan and 4th synchro is very common on GTRs and GTSs.

  17. I'd hunt down a 2nd hand E55 etc Merc if i wanted a 100k 4door car as no body kit makes a taxi worth 100k

There is more to it than you guys say and the valves are all the same size.Solid kit costs $770.I do use the factory manifold on the GTR but fit a single throttle body and billet blocks in place of the 6 butterflys.Please dont get affended as some seem to be as i have done a lot of R+D on this and have been very happy with the results both on my dyno and seat of the pants.

  21. VVT gives better lower +mid range power. We remove the 6 throttle bodys with great results anyway,We have demo cars to prove it.
  22. Wolf and powerFC plugins work well on n/a cars and with exhaust and pod see around 165rwhp with all standard n/a mods helping this further.

Ifyou are planning a big budget build with every possible option then a 26 head can be a minor help but chasing a budget street build its a bit over the top as a new turbo etc will give huge gains for less as a 26 head needs other changes to do right,even the head bolts are thicker on a 26 and the combustion chambers are different, I think i'm the only shop in WA thats done it and it was only for the class reason.
  24. Dont get me wrong they really are still bloated fleet-taxi- family cars, just can make good power.Anyone that buys a 100k taxi before an R34GTR needs help but each to their own.
  25. HKS have a VVT kit for 26 heads now but cost is high. If you fit a Greedy intake and cams to your 25 head it will be cheaper than going 26 head and give you a broader power curve.Get a 25 and 26 head flow tested and be suprised. Dont spend money you dont need to.
