hey ppls anyone want to buy my 96 s2 gtst turbo ? the exhaust wheel isnt there at all, and on the compressor side just the shaft thingy is still there. It'd be good for a hiflow i guess. Oh yeah.. you dont get the oil lines, wastegate actuator or the rod thingy. You pretty much just get the turbo part... $150 + delivery with xmas coming up how can u refuse this great deal !!

hmmm so u rekon when i take my car to the mechanic to get em to check out the engine they will need to need to take the engine out of the car to have a look damage ??

well like i was saying there was a bit of the plastic stuck in the throttle body between the butterfly, causing it stay open when i was idling. It was realy small though. There was one other small piece in that metal pipe that connects to the throttle body. But besides those 2 litle pieces i couldnt see any else. Would most of it be stuck in the intercooler or something ?? I probs should of mentioned i was at the sauvic drag day 2day and it happened when i changed from 2nd to 3rd gear at like 6500rpm, then the boost was all gone :~( but ya what happens if the plastic crap gets into the motor like it might have ??? if its not bad for it, i'll just slap a new turbo on... but it doesnt sound like its gonna be good for it

took the afm pipe off... hehe the wheel thingy is completly stuffed, theres like chunks missing and bits all over the place.. what would make the ol girl die and how bad is it if parts of it got into the engine ??

ive got the same thing now on my r33 gtst... but with mine the ticking noise increases as the revs increase. I only revved it to like 1500 to test it out though.. Also there was also a small piece of this black plasticy stuff in the throttlebody, wedged between the butterfly thingy. Im getting it checked out on monday hopefully, but does that sound like it might be the turbo aswell ??? or the bearing or something ?? also the noise doesnt seem to change in volume. I'll take off the afm pipe and see if the turbo looks screwed up.

i use 11 for my gain. try something like that... yours is probably on the default setting of like 30 or something

change menus till you get to the 'set' screen. then press and hold down "mode" for a few seconds, that will change to the gain value and let you change it. for my r33 gtst, i have 11 / 48 values. Which gives me a tiny bit over 12psi. SBC_SPECS.pdf

i run mine on 12psi, has no spiking issues.... i think the limit is 16psi for the spec-s, not .7 bar

umm i got the same boost controller.... and it definetly offers set/gain settings.... you sure u read the manual on howto set it up properly ? sounds like you havnt entered the 'set' value correctly.. btw, lemi know if you need the manual for it (took me ages to find online)

i cut the angle piece off but i guess u could bend it back. You need to get it mounted pretty low and angle thingy is in the way. If you search around or check the DIY a few ppl have posted pics of theres mounted to the bracket to see how she looks

you dont use the sock with the 040 pump. Also when you mount the 040 to the stock bracket you goto make sure you mount it pretty low on the bracket otherwise you'll run out of petrol when you have like 1/8 - 1/4 of a tank left.

put pineapples in, it'll fix it up real good. Pretty much anyone can install them, if you want someone local (i think u live near me) pedders on glenferrie rd hawthorn are pretty good.

the AS E35 seatbelts or woteva that it mentions in the forms... is that like normal seltbelts or a harness ?

i was on the same dyno on sat and my result was pretty much the same i normaly get on 2 other dynos.. so id say the dyno was fine.
