  1. Not exactly true on there being no GT-V's in the Series 1 run. The GT-V's first rolled out Sept/Oct 1999 making them a S1 which is what mine is. This is probably the reason the GT-V only shows up in Series 2 brochures, specs sheets, etc. Yeah lanky, just the GT-V. From what I've noticed the GT-X has the florally/stripey interior keeping it inline with the rest of the NA models where the GT-V has the same 2 tone interior as the turbo models. Thats probably the easiest way to tell the difference between a NA GT-X and a GT-V, without lifting the bonnet or getting down and looking for the HICAS. the GT-V will the the GT-T 17" mags anway, another easy visual clue.
  2. http://translate.google.com/translate?u=ht...en&ie=UTF-8 or http://translate.google.com/translate?u=ht...en&ie=UTF-8 have to disagree with lanky ^ in that an NA GT-X is basically a turbo spec car. if you look through the translated links (hopefully they work) with spec tables of each model you'll find that the NA GT-X doesn't have the same 'Mechanism' or "Tyre/Wheel" specs as the turbo models. Where if you look at the GT-V column it does share the same items as the turbo models (2nd link shows this better, click on 'major equipment list'). click through all the links anyway and have a read for yourself. hope this helps you some more Reggie
  3. have you ever thought about/tried to drive around at lower speeds? seems pretty logical to me.
  4. for a car thats 12 years old, the condition its in is outstanding. i'm beginning to wonder though, do you even have a manual licence? to burn the clutch out of a (non-turbo skyline) car thats only done 28500K's, my bet is driver fault over car weakness. i just get curious about things.
  5. can I ask what was your cruising speed to get 550Km's to a tank? I don't mean to brag but I'm gonna, with my new O2 sensor in my fuel light came on at 555Km's and then there's another 120 - 130Km's before I even think of filling up. just curious, thats all.

    New Gtr Scoop!

just don't know who to believe these days, a guy who actually had input in developing the car or someone on the dealers showroom floor selling the end product. it's all "hearsay, he said, she said, i've heard" till you actually see the next model in a brochure on the the showroom floor
  7. There are a few GT-V owners on these forums. I'm one of them.
  8. a bit old for coil packs Eug is this a twin spark CA20? my first car was one of these CA20 Pintara's, the thing just kept going, this was several years ago now. I did experience something similar to what your car is doing now, my problem was the no.1 injector died. 1 new injector and a clean of the others later and it was back running like clockwork.
  9. Braided Clutch line sold Other items still available
  10. I don't know how old you are or what your driving history is like but being a male in NSW I'm guessing your insurance premium would be more than mine. As a 27yr old with a clean driving history in Qld I pay $590-something/year for full comprehensive with Famous

  13. I think its the prefecture aka suburb, of the Nissan Prince yard where your car was sold from/been through. Here is my sticker thats still on my back bumper. I also have the round jap rego sticker on my windscreen still plus some other little sticker that I'm not so sure about.
  14. will SK be there?! if he is, I wonder if he'll mind if I put an order in for some swaybars?
  15. I have that weekend off so if I remember I might go for a drive and have a look-see. Harry, which would be the best day to go to watch most of the racing?
  16. owning a GT-V, I have people telling me to 'drop the turbo motor in it, you already have everything else turbo spec' but thats not what I want for my car. I don't want my car to be a money pit plus I love the fact that I average over 600K's to a tank. can't agree more with you luke, especially an NA R34. I also have the same focus for my car as you. Reggie.
  17. why anyone would want to touch an exhaust after driving their car (hard or not) is beyond me.
  18. would the offset of the 350 track rims be suitable for a 34 sedan? also are they considered a lightweight rim?
  19. I had the same error come up after my 100K service was done a couple of months ago. Now, I knew the coilpacks needed doing and the workshop changed the spark plugs (part of 100K service) and nothing else in the ignition circuit of the car. So I changed the coilpacks myself and the error has gone. Thats what fixed my error so if you know that one part of your ignition circuit needs changing, start there. It's not that hard.
  20. what suburb are you in? if you don't want to reveal that in your thread, PM me please.
